Have you got other cruises booked? Pre-COVID We had the same thing happen and we were able to take it as Future Cruise Credit and used it for another cruise. It is certainly worth asking rather than just wasting so much money.

We did a whole day private excursion in Manaus which is possible if you are overnighting there. “Meeting of the waters with pink dolphins interaction and Indian ritual”. The pink dolphins were amazing and the whole tour we felt gave us a real Amazon experience. Google and you will find several tours. Thought the tours on offer from Oceania were a bit “Ho Hum” although there was an Oceania tour that did a similar tour which actually stayed off board overnight but it was BIG $$$.

I guess I checked too early, we just received an email with the 20 Anniversary offer. I have sent an email to check whether we will qualify as our booked cruise is included in the promotion but don’t hold out a lot of hope.

Just checked online and it seems the 20th anniversary sale is not available in Australia. I wonder if it is available in any other countries outside of USA/Canada? In Australia we are not able to book Cruise Only.

We did a River Cruise in Cambodia mid 2022. The visa was very difficult to come by as the Vietnam Embassy here was not issuing visas. A Canadian couple still did not have one on arrival and Viking was able to take care of it. As suggested I also think that Oceania will take care of it onboard and debit your account.

Apart from USA and I think? Canada other countries do not get the Cruise Only option. Oceania have a best price guarantee but you need to see the better price, check that your category is available and included and ask your TA to request the reduced price. I always do a screen dump to attach to my request. If the reduced price is after final payment Oceania will give a FCC or OBC for the difference in price. In this situation I have used the difference to upgrade to a higher category which is permissible. Better to book early and watch for a special offer later. Boarding the Eclipse is now only 2 days away and I thank everyone for their good advice. I noticed today that there are still 146 cabins still available mainly MIDSHIP on floors 7 & 8 and some on 9. I wonder why this would be the case. I am aware that Celebrity do have an upsell, but is it possible to upgrade when checking in on embarkment day.

Is $360 from B2 (6129) to a C3 (1029) on Eclipse a good offer? Are either of these cabins in bad locations?

Thanks - back to my Dining Issues. Just tried to make a restaurant booking and was unable to do so because two of our cabins were booked from the USA and the other one from Australia. I got a message that it was due to booking in different currency. Has anyone encountered this problem before and if so were you able to get around it. May have to see the Maître d’ when we board. Where will we locate the Maître d’ Cheers Ros🙂

Thx. We have Select which seems perfect for what we would like. I have a good offer to upgrade to Concierge level. I am interested on thoughts about the bedding - is it more comfortable in Concierge. I have arthritis. Thoughts please? Cheers Ros?

Thanks for your replies. I am assuming we have Select Dining. We are all booked into regular verandah cabins on floor 6. We are a family group. We the grandparents, our daughter son-in-law and their 3 children aged 16, 14 and 10. While we will want to eat together sometimes, we will want to eat separately other times. Does Select Dining allow us to do that? What is the purpose of linking cabins? I would like some comments on eating in the Main Dining restaurant. How good is the food. How slow will the service be for a table of 7. Cheers Ros🙂

Trying to get my head around DINING on CELEBRITY ECLIPSE. Our family have booked three cabins which have all been linked. I am not sure whether that means we all eat together? OR do we get to choose from day to day where we eat and whether we all eat together or not? Is it good idea to make reservations before boarding? What are meals like in the Main Dining restaurant? We have occupied those cabins on past cruises and really liked the layout of the cabin. Due to the location of the bathroom, the floor space is surprisingly good. There is lots of space to put things. The best cabins are 6046 and 6049 & 6030 and 6033 as the windows are less obstructed by the lifeboats. Great location on the ship - midship 6th floor.

Once My Account was updated, I could see the amount of credit I still had. It also should my original amount of credit. The calculation was really quite simple, it was the original credit minus the total of the two excursions less a 25% discount. The other three tours were my 3 “free” O’Life tours. Only the full price of the tours are listed in the excursions PDF but the YWYW price is also listed online in My Account Oceania which makes it easy to do a reconciliation.

The OBC has now been adjusted. I actually got a nice surprise. I was not expecting to get the lower YWYW pricing on tour 4 as well as tour 5.

Another question. We also have Gift Orders US$50 COMPLIMENTARY SHIPBOARD CREDIT times two This US$100 is not included in the total showing on our Oceania account. Should it be included or will it be added to our account after we board.

Thanks everyone. I have responded to Specialty Services via their confirmation email requesting the discount. It is a.com email address so I am assuming it has gone to Oceania in America. If I don’t have any response from them, I will try Oceania in Australia and lastly my TA who does not know much about Oceania. I stick with him because he has looked after us well over the years. Through trial and error may now have it figured. I can bring up a discounted price on a regular tour but when I try it with an OS tour it doesn’t show a discount. My question now is does the discount apply to tours marked OS?
