  1. My latest booking also has "AFREESC3" which I don't see in the most recent list. We do have prepaid daily service charges included.
  2. Sorry, missed this until now. Plenty of speed tests throughout the week. 1.3 to 1.9Mb downloads very consistently. However it always functioned for things that can struggle on land with 10x-50x more speed which makes no sense.
  3. Also on this trip (not in the Haven though) with my 11yr old daughter and 7yr old son.
  4. Read about it plenty, never thought it was a better deal than the basic unlimited wifi plan on the ship. 100Mb or 1Gb of data might not be enough, depending on what you plan to use it for. If you have a longer cruise (b2b or approaching the 30 day limit) the texting might be tempting, but for "just" a 7 day or so I don't see the value personally.
  5. Didn't realize the Getaway had starlink. I had the base unlimited plan on the Breakaway Feb of 2023 and was getting 70+Mb/s download on Starlink. December of 2023 we were on Escape without Starlink and got speeds like you're referring to. I'll be on the Joy March 9th and can post some speed test results.
  6. Thanks for sharing, we are on our shuttle bus headed to the port to embark now. Safe travels home!
  7. We embark the day you disembark with the alternate itinerary. I'll be curious of two things, one far more important than the other. 1. Are the hashbrowns back? Way down the list: 2. What internet speeds are you seeing? We were last on Escape December of 2022 and the speed was less than exciting. The Breakaway in February of 2023 (with Starlink) was significantly faster and actually usable. Enjoy your trip!
  8. I tried chat on the NCL website and their response was: "Those are discounts through your Travel Agency. Free prepaid service charges, and a percentage off discount." I do have other promo codes on the confirmation that actually do mean free prepaid service charges and the 50% off offer* they are currently marketing so I'm not convinced this is an accurate answer. *farce
  9. For anyone who finds this in the future, our re-price put us on 1 point per night, even though there was an active 2 extra point per night promotion on at the time. Turns out that had some fine print about only for new reservations, and since we were after final payment we were ineligible as the discount was given as FCC.
  10. Here are two that aren't on the list but are on my most recent booking. AFREESC FLEXNET any idea on either of those?
  11. We were on the Escape, 12/3 departure from Port Canaveral, due in to Puerto Plata on 12/5 (day 2). We docked at Amber Cove, and on day 6 NCL issued approx $19/passenger OBC to each account for the 'inconvenience'. Must have been plenty of people complaining, we were on an NCL Excursion to Ocean World the whole day so we didn't really notice the change.
  12. We did a price adjustment during the Black Friday sale where there was actually 2 extra points per night.
  13. We just returned from a 7 day cruise on escape in a minisuite, it was booked during an insider offer, and the confirmation had promo code LADTBLX, which I believe is the code for an extra point per night. We were credited for 7 points, which leaves us 1 point shy of Platinum. I filled out the missing cruise portion of the latitudes rewards cruise history and have yet to hear anything, 9 days so far. I did call the Latitudes desk and they claimed I've done all I can and there is no one I can talk to this issue about. They also said response to the form I filled out can take upwards of 30 days. I need this cleared up before our next sailing in February as I have booked reservations for upcharge dining assuming we'd get the Platinum vouchers. Our travel agent claims they don't have anyone to reach out to for the latitudes program. Does anyone have experience or advice? Just waiting for NCL to get a look at this is not ideal.
  14. According to the NCL included drinks flyer, yes.
  15. I swear honey, I'm just noticing all of the young ones have Seltzers...
  16. It looks like NCL now serves Truly seltzers, can anyone comment on how available they are and what flavors they typically have?
  17. For anyone who finds this in the future, our room was assigned 107 days before departure. Now to see if I can dig anything up on our specific room...
  18. To start, I fully recognize that room assignments can happen basically right up until actual sailing, and yes I booked a category where I'll be happy with anything they give me (we booked MC, Club balcony suite guarantee on the Escape) I'm looking for others actual experience on approximate timing when they've had guarantee rooms assigned. We just made final payment this week.
  19. My wife and I are going on a Western Caribbean cruise next February and are debating if the Vibe beach club is worth it. We are in a Balcony room. The debate is really if this is a best way to spend $418, since it has gotten so expensive it's tempting to not buy those passes and spend the money on various spa service etc. I realize this choice is different for everyone and am really only looking to hear opinions of those who have been in the Vibe beach club on the Breakaway, and if they felt it was/is worth the $418. Do they still sell cabanas in there for approx $100 over the price of 2 people but included $100 of food credit?? I don't see any reference to this on NCLs website but have seen it in some different vlogs.
  20. Thanks, that's what it was the last time we went but the app was showing it as a cost of $836 for our family of 4.
  21. We are booked on the Escape later this year with some friends. We were last cruising on Escape in March of 2019, we did the Carnival themed Escape room, now it appears that they are calling it "Bamboozled" and it's super hero themed. Having young kids with us this sounds like a must do, but the app is showing that it's now a $209/person charge?? It was free last time if I recall correctly. Is $209/person correct?
