I have the green box free tests as well (BC). Does it need to be a new box or are they more concerned that the tests inside are new?  There is not QR on my box

We have used the BTNX tests in a proctored test. The box can be opened, but the individual items must stay sealed until the test starts. No QR code required.

  2. Never roam on the ship's data.....extremely expensive. Safest to put phone into airplane mode, then turn on wifi.

On my May 4th Discovery Princess, 4 day cruise to Alaska (Vancouver-Ketchikan-Seattle) and a post-cruise stay in Portland, OR, I used this US SIM purchased on amazon.ca.

    https://www.amazon.ca/Prepaid-Internet-Powered-T-Mobile-Days/dp/B09KWY33ZD/ref=bmx_dp_kn6r7fgo_sccl_2_3/133-2884903-7961621?pd_rd_w=zLIcq&content-id=amzn1.sym.e55928bd-e238-45b2-bf8e-0d68ca724b4f&pf_rd_p=e55928bd-e238-45b2-bf8e-0d68ca724b4f&pf_rd_r=5CQGPKNYMEWBXMBF4B2A&pd_rd_wg=iXfaH&pd_rd_r=6807d972-d86f-4122-9812-a65b6044f3ff&pd_rd_i=B09KWY33ZD&psc=1

It's only C$23.99 for 7 days of data (1GB/day, NO voice or text) on either T-Mobile or AT&T (whichever is available). There's also a 14 day SIM for C$35.99. This is way cheaper than paying $11/day to use your own data.

It was extremely easy to use. When we arrived in Ketchikan, I just swapped out my SIM and had T-Mobile data service within minutes....no setup required. I continued to use data services in Seattle & Portland and even roamed onto Telus when got back across the border. Hotspotting is also possible.

If you require voice, text & data, the same company offers this:

This is a golden Opportunity for a competitor to match tiers to steal loyal passenger's, if I were headof marketing for a Cruise line that's exactly what I would do.

MSC has a status match program and not just to other cruise lines. Also applicable to other loyalty programs, e.g. hotels & airlines. Because of the match to our Elite, we tried the MSC Seaside in 2018 and had a great time.

Has anyone successfully accepted the Passage Contract recently?  I've been trying since Friday but it keeps removing the checkbox when I hit "Save" (on those occasions when it lets me get that far.)

I tried on three different iDevices and the web version, including the new app version released today, all behave the same.

Been having the same problems for days.

The strange thing is, I was able to complete mine after trying multiple times, but not for my DW.

  5. Haven't been able to get into "plan a cruise/find cruises" all afternoon. Tried different browsers.

Able to log into my account and access my cruises, but going to my saved cruises also doesn't work.

Anybody else having the same problem?

You have way-way-way more perseverance than I ever dreamed of having 🙂

Just put the phone on speaker & continue with whatever you're doing.....and I needed to book the air.

Found out the reason I couldn't book the air myself online was because I had a $24 goodwill obc, which required supervisor override......what a system!!!

BTW - the first call to make the change had less than a 5 minute wait on hold and todays call had a less than 1 minute wait.

Was your hold times for a "regular" agent?

I've been able to reach a "regular" Princess agent within minutes, the past few calls.

I have an EZair issue and was transferred to that dept........so far 3h 50m and counting😩

Just a heads up for anyone with a non-refundable FCC, Princess is now offering to refund the 100% base cruise fare back, less any bonus FCC that you were offered. Seeing that many of the cruises in the Princess list are cancelled through November 1, 2021 and you currently must use your FCC to sail by  May 1, 2022 there may not be many options left. Here is the excerpt from the Princess web site:

”If a guest has not used any portion of their FCC within 12 months of its issuance, they may choose to receive a refund of the original amount retained by Princess Cruises at the time the FCC was issued between June 1, 2020 and December 31, 2022, less any bonus amount. “

There is a link on the Princess web site to request this. I have contacted my TA and he is sorting it out for me.

I don't see the link to request a refund of FCC, but might be because my FCCs were issued on 4/22/20. Wondering why FCCs issued before June 1st are not eligible for a refund??

A little twisted that a Canadian using the US booking system gets better service than most US citizens using the US booking system.

It's even more twisted because when I called MSC USA to cancel a US$ booking, I immediately received an email confirmation and credit card refund in 23 business days. I'm still trying to get MSC Canada to even acknowledge cancellation of my C$ booking after a month of trying. Fed up.....chargeback!!!

I've always had good/great interactions with the US call centre, but not so much with the Canadian one.

Don't know why MSC needs separate web sites, call centres and systems. Princess has just all-in-one and it works very well.

Also, if you're calling from Canada, you can't even call MSC USA directly any more. The call automatically gets forwarded to MSC Canada and then you get transferred to US.......really efficient 🙄

I had two Sept. 2020 sailings on deposit, booked directly with MSC USA, which I wanted to cancel.

When I called the US number (877-665-4655), I was automatically transferred to the Canadian call centre (which has a different #).

Amazingly, they answered within 7 minutes and then able to transfer me to the US call centre (without an additional wait).

It looks like Canadian phone numbers are no longer able to call MSC USA directly.

Anyways, the agent was very helpful and said I should receive the credit card refunds within 20 days.....here's hoping!!

    Wow!!!

MSC USA came through and I received my credit card refund on June 19th (23 business days).

MSC Canada is a completely different story. Can't get a straight answer regarding another deposit refund.....only fcc, refund 60 days after sailing date, ok to cancel by phone, cancel only in writing (although no reply to email).

Should be a very simple process......refund to original form of payment, within the free cancellation period.
