  1. The Everglades app on my i-thingies show terminal assignments 30 days out. 11/13 Crown will be at terminal 21 and 11/18 Crown will be at terminal 2.

And interestingly enough on 11/26 Crown is scheduled for terminal 4 and Island is scheduled at terminal 21.

And one other piece of info that I hadn't noticed before, Regal is now scheduled to sail at 5pm instead of 4pm.

Schedules can change. The app is from the port authority. Love it.

It seems the app is only on Apple iOS and not Android.

I'll be on the Royal Princess B2B, embarking on Nov 30, turn-around on Dec 10 & debarking on Dec 20.

Could you please check the terminal assignments for those dates?

    Thanks!

  2. i'm a virgin to princess so if there are no buffet lines it would be fantastic! on the Breakaway it was sometime tortuous. even at what i considered non peak times.

a good buffet with no lines would very well sway me toward returning to the line.

The buffet on the Regal & Royal seldom have long lineups.

The Horizon Court is huge and stations are very well distributed.

    Also, there's lots of seating.

  3. Just wear safety vest and you'll be fine. It's drift snorkeling , so you won't have to swim much.

We went to Klein Bonaire and there's one very important point to remember.......walk upstream and drift downstream. We met people that did the opposite and said it was very tiring, swimming against the current. When you're on the beach and facing the water, walk to your right.

  4. It gets updated whenever there is one available. However, after not using it for a few days, it's working again.

    Same here.

For the past couple of weeks, wasn't able to access the boards using Chrome (even after clearing the cookies & cache). Firefox was ok.

Then starting a few days ago, using Chrome is now ok.

  5. I think people are confusing Milestone cruises with Captain's Circle levels.... This post was about the little known benefit of Milestone cruises.

You will still have the periodic increases in the Loyalty OBC to look forward to. Not a lot, but better than nothing

But wouldn't the change for Milestone cruises from cruise credits to cruise days maybe also affect the Loyalty OBC, which is based on cruise credits?

  6. For us one the the perks we liked (before we became Elite) is the military OBC and stock holders OBC. These perks you can get now, even with two cruises. For a seven night cruise it would be a total of $200. When you complete 6 cruises you get free internet and up graded trip ins.

For us the perks are better on Princess We also are not fond of the RCCL ship that we have been on nor like their food. Princess is a better fit for us.

We used to really like RCL, until they made the policy of only 1 OBC allowed.

The huge advantage of Princess is that you can combine multiple OBCs.

  7. You can also if your elite change out your mini bar for 2 coffee cards

ummm - this is an amazing tip! Thank you for this!

How do you do that? Just let your stateroom steward know? Or is it done in advance?

Just call room service when you get aboard and they'll change it out within a few hours.

  8. I'm really confused............ The cruise I booked Nov /17 on the Royal ends in 2409.21

so what exchange rate would that be???

Does your $2409.21 include the taxes & fees?

The exchange rate "decoder" only works on the cruise fare only.

Another way, is to call to make an OBC on a Canadian credit card and ask how much an OBC for $100 USD would cost.

We did this a couple of years ago and it worked.

We were careful NOT to add our US fund credit card to our registration until just before we sailed. That way there could be no slip ups when purchasing OBC at Princess' favourable rate.

    Ruth

You can also log into your cruise personalizer, go to onboard reservations to buy OBC, which wiil be shown in Cdn$ (at the exchange rate you booked the cruise).

If you call to buy OBC, confirm and re-confirm it will be charged in Canadian dollars (on your C$ credit card).

  9. It is a pity we are banned from seeing the USA site because I always book in USA dollars with my USA credit card.

There is a way around this! Next time you are in the US, register on the Princess site for a new account. You would need to put in a US address and a different email address to the one you use for your Canadian Princess account. Once this is created, you can log in from Canada and it will flip the site to the US version. It works - that's how I am able to check both US and Canadian pricing!

    There's a much easier way.......tunnelbear.

  10. We want to rent a car coming straight off our cruise on the Caribbean Princess from a rental place near the terminal we will be docked at, then if possible return it to the airport when we go to catch our flight. We have 5 hours to kill. Here some questions:

    1. What is the nearest rental place?
    2. Can you walk to it?
    3. Can you return it to FLL Airport?
    4. Is it better to go to FLL and rent then return back to FLL to return?

Thanks in advance for your help.

We have used the Budget at 1515 SE 17th St, which is only a half mile away from your terminal. Easy walking on sidewalks or use their free shuttle. Decent rates for one-way rentals, with drop off at FLL.

We've also done the reverse direction as well.
