  1. Everyone needs to stop thinking about formal or chic night in terms of what other people might think. Do what pleases you. For me, that used to be a tux. Then for a while it was shirt and tie. In recent years, I’ve dropped the tie. The simple truth is that unless you are very underdressed for any night (think tank top, shorts, and baseball cap), no one cares nor do they have any right to care.
  2. Same issue for me just now .. all I get is a picture of a polar bear in a snowstorm.
  3. Your point about Royal Caribbean purchases is well taken, although since it is a travel purchase, I get 3% from Chase, in addition to travel insurance (full disclosure: this Chase card has an AF, but I recoup it through other benefits easily). Amex Blue Everyday gets 3% on travel with no AF. Are you sure about the 125K getting $2500 off the fare? I see only 1% value.
  4. I don't know, but no foreign transaction fees is common on any credit card targeted to travel.
  5. Thanks! Silly me .. I was looking for Past Cruises like the instructions said.
  6. This is the part I'm struggling with. I'm logged in, on My Tiers and Points page, and I do see the progress chart showing xxx points and need yyy for Elite Plus. However, there isn't a place to see past cruises and points that I can find. The FAQ says "navigate to the Past Cruises tab, where you will view your past cruises in chronological order as well as the reward points earned per cruise." However, there is no such tab on the My Tiers and Points page, or the main web page.
  7. Ah, OK. So if you would have to do multiple things worth less than 10 PUPs each before you see the needle move. So related question .. isn't there a place on their website where you can see where your points (CC) came from? I know Royal has a cruise history with points rewarded, or at least used to.
  8. Isn't this link specific to your CC number? I assume the question was how can I rewatch the webcast so I can get credit for watching it? Going to the original customized link says that the webinar is over, with no option to rewatch. I've watched multiple PUP webinars (using the customized link invitation sent to me) and have never had any acknowledgement or feedback that I got any PUP.
  9. I'm confused. If there is no place where you can see PUP that are credited to you CC number, how are people reporting that they did finally see their points posted for xyz?
  10. RC Visa points are effectively a 1% rebate on your spend. Numerous cards are available that offer twice that back in cash without even trying. I get 3% at times during promos, up to 7.5% with category spend, and never less than 2.25%.
  11. I've cruised solo and enjoy eating alone on those occasions. I am at one with my steak and glass of wine and life is good. I see no reason to have a book or other distraction .. but you can if that suits you. Just savor the solitude and food. On a few occasions in the MDR, I've been sat at a large table with one other solo diner. It is often someone with whom I have zero in common. Yet by the end of the dinner, we've enjoyed each other's company. And I say that as a moderate introvert.
  12. I was looking into doing this, but read reviews from just before the pandemic that said they no longer go to Fairview Lawn Cemetery (something about the roads not allowing buses any more, or a sink hole). Does anyone know if in 2022 the buses go to the cemetery? It is not mentioned on their website.
  13. MSC's Ocean Cay is just perfect as it is now. Hope they never "fix it".
  14. Sigh. I much preferred CocoCay when it was just, you know, an island with beaches and tropical nature.
  15. Well said. Your observations were exactly what I would post as well. There was a time 15 or more years ago that I felt like Celebrity's clientele was too old for my taste. Amazingly, they now seem to be more our age.
  16. There is nothing in Air2Sea's service description or terms and conditions that guarantee they will get you to the ship on time. Like any travel agency, they will offer rebooking assistance. But they do not guarantee to cover the cost, and certainly do not promise to delay ship's departure for you.
