Hi Guys, this is Linda. We almost went on this sailing, but changed to March 1st. The answer to your question is YES! You can use the shower facilities and saunas inside the spa area along with the Big Hot Tub without a charge. Glad to see that you guys enjoyed yourself enough to book again.
Happy Sailing:)

I was NOT happy to find no lounger on our Grand Suite balcony. Our steward told us he could not get us a lounger as all the loungers had been removed from GS balconies. Huh? JS gets loungers, but GS's don't? Had Diamond club concierge check this out. She (Nadja) called housekeeping manager and we had a lounger brought by room steward about an hour later. Appearetly you can request a lounger ( or 2) from either Guest Services or housekeeping, but there will be none on your GS balcony upon boarding. Guest Services mgr. advised they are "waiting for new furniture". Weird. I was very pleased with the entertainment on this cruise. Other than first and last night, there were no production shows. We enjoyed Gary Mule Deer's comedy show on second night. I missed the show third night, but was supposed to be magic/comedy. Went to the ice show fourth night, tho' I've seen it several times before. Fifth night a terrific musical show was put on by a former Foreigner musician, Domenick Allen. Very talented. Sixth night was the acrobatic team of Donovan and Rebecca. They are amazing. GT was great, as usual. I always request asperagus instead of potatoes with my steak and am always accomodated. There is mongolian stir fry on formal nights in the Windjammer. The CL and DL were crazy, as there were 500 Diamond and D+ and 19 Pinnacle members on board. After the first night, Nadja expanded the overflow for the DL to the entire Viking Crown. As usual the service all around was outstanding. Bubba Feathers Band left NOS on Dec. 7 as did Nadja. Ricardo is leaving for vacation soon as well. Nadja returns Jan. 25 or 28, whichever is a sail date. Bubba and band return sometime in mid Feb. as does Ricardo.
Did you walk off with luggage or have a number to leave? Inotherwords, how was disembarkation?

Looking forward to your "Live" review of the Navigator. And thank you for posting all the pictures of Kemah. Brings back lots of memories. We have stayed at Kemah a couple of times. There is so much to do there. Just love the place.

Twibes - enjoying your review. Thanks for doing that. Please say hello to our cruising buddies "Tugboat" (Curtis & Kathy) from Linda and Arthur. Thank you.

Al - did you not try the Cosmopolitan Club at night (10:30pm). It was great. The DJ played a mix of music. Some 70's; 80's; and top 40. It was packed every night and alot of fun.

I'm not sure who is updating the concierge list, but we just got off the Navigator of the Seas and Nadja is in the DL and Ricardo is in the CL. Nadja is the best. We loved her. So friendly and inviting to all her guests. Hi Nadja...we miss you:)

Here is my beef with the wash n fold bag. On a 7 day cruise we get a free wash n fold bag. This bag is not picked up until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning and not returned until Friday morning. If "one" is leaving on the ship on Sunday morning.....what good is it:eek: If you pay for the $30 wash n fold bag, you can use it at any time....seriously. It is the same bag, handled the same way. Why can't they do it for the free Wash n Fold bag. I need the bag of laundry earlier:D And, of course, I do not want to pay:D;)

13 days and counting:D:D

Carol have a great time and enjoy the JS upgrade:D:) I will be enjoying the cruise with you (vicariously

Nadja is great, for sure. Who was concierge in the Diamond lounge, please?
It was Larissa in June. I'm not sure if she is still in the DL.
-
How was the Diamond Lounge?
The DL was great. There is a bartender in there named Jean and he was excellent. Kept the drinks coming. We just got off on June 15th.
-
Did you use the Internet on the ship at all? Just wondering how the speed seemed to you.
Hi Bob - we just got off the NOS and we used the computer in the DL. It seemed fine to me. I was able to get on and off fairly fast. I did not even go through my one hour allotted to me. We did not bring the laptop this time.

Valerie - I loved your review. Sorry, we missed the Meet/Mingle. I wanted to see my grandson do his thing on the flowrider and I got to video him. But I did see you win "Finish that Lyric" in the Star Lounge. I loved your performance:):D
We found the embarkation and disembarkation to be the easiest yet from Galveston. We have been out of Galveston many times, and I'm glad RCI finally got it together. It was a total zoo in December, when we were there. We left in group 6 out of the Star Lounge at around 9am and was off and to the car within 30 minutes. It was great.
We loved Sabors and Chops and the dining experience on the cruise. We tried MTD again, but I'm not sure if I will do it again. I really don't like being shoved up against other people. They have all the tables too tight at MTD.
I loved the new look of the Navigator and enjoyed the disco (with DJ Dan) up in the Cosmopolitan Club. Ended our nights there (most nights):D

We have always parked at the Port Of Galveston parking lot (many, many times) Never had an issue. It costs $70 for the week. Of course, it may have gone up since we last parked there. I think people go for the other private parking lots because they get a discount. And the bonus is that you get to park "free":)

Hoopster - I'm loving your review. Thank you for giving such details. I'm anxiously awaiting the next few days and I can't wait to hear about Costa Maya. I may be in a rare group, but I love Costa Maya.

Or you can buy some chips with the credit. Then later cash them in; (provided you haven't succumbed to the temptation to gamble them away.)
You will still be charged 5%

Who is coming onboard the NOS when Phil leaves. Will it be adult daycare:D once again????
-
Beaferd - I have a question regarding the pool towels. Did you have to check them out at the pool on your seapass card? Or did you just simply go and get the towels you needed?
-
Thank you so much for posting the compasses for each day. We will be going on the same itinerary:D

It looks like a pretty decent day in Galveston compared to Dallas. On their webcam it shows temps at 68 and pt.cloudy. It is freezing rain here and 30 degrees.
BonVoyage to all leaving today on the Navigator:)

We have rented a car before and I like going over with Nativeway. We do not get off the boat to swim with the stingrays, but once we get to Rum Point we have a nice lunch and enjoy Rum Point for about 2 hrs. It is a great way to go. Nativeway is safe, experienced with nice boats and the lunch over at Rum Point is included. In Dec.'13 it cost us $57pp. They also provided punch (with or without alcohol) and water on the way over and the way back. Great bunch of people.

Yes, I heard about the Diamond surprise. All Diamond members will be surprised to learn that they have been kicked out of the Diamond Lounge
Oh, that is sooooooo not funny. I know you said that tongue in cheek:p:D
-
So wish I were going!! Watching now.
You guys don't have too much fun without me today, O.K.:(
It's really killing me not to be going!
Becci - you and Todd really need to look at Dec. 8. Prices are fabulous. PR are going for $299pp
Pete - we will see you next Sunday:)
-
Yes, there will be 83 new passenger cabins. Some, not all interior cabins will have the Virtual balcony. At the Captain's Corner Capt. Frank said that every inch of the ship will be touched during the update.
Carolyn - was there any mention of putting in a diamond lounge?
Sabor not showing up on Cruise Planner
in Royal Caribbean International

It is $25 for dinner and $20 for lunch. Don't know why it is not on the cruise planner, but it is definitely part of a dining pkg.
