Can anyone tell me if passengers are seated with others for breakfast in the main dining room, or if you can ask for a table for two?

We will be traveling on the train from Anchorage to Whittier before our Princess cruise, as part of the pre cruise/ hotel package. For those of you that have done this, is there a preferred side of the train to sit on for the most scenic views? Or maybe we will even get assigned seats, I’m not sure. But if we have our choice, we are interested in having the best view. Thank you for your advice!

Thanks everyone! I’m a bit worried this may cause a problem with pre-check, since the Mrs, is not part of the name on that. But as long as we get on the flights without a problem, that’s the important thing. Do we have to check in online with United, or can we just check in at the airport the day of the flight?

Ok, now I’m in a bit of a panic after reading this. Mr and Mrs are also part of our names on the actual tickets with United DOE/JANESUSANMRS This was also booked by EZ Air. We are about 2 months away from the cruise, so I can’t do check in yet. Is this something I should call United about, or maybe worse to draw attention to it?

Being used to Caribbean cruises, I am finding it hard to pack for this Alaskan cruise. It isn’t until June, but I’m starting to make my lists now. I know it will be cold out on deck, especially while in Glacier National Park. But what is the temperature like inside the ship and cabin? Will we want warmer long sleeves and pants? And warmer pjs in the cabin? Any packing advice would be most appreciated. I learn so much on these boards.

First of all, thanks for the advice! We will be in Juneau in June and want to do a tour of Mendenhall Glacier. Basically we want to see it and walk to Nugget Falls, which I understand is about a 1 mile walk each way. We basically want to take some pictures. Our ship excursion allows 90 min there. Is that enough time, or should we take the Blue Bus and do it on our own?

We are in the same situation. Ours looks exactly the same as yours. All green with the red exclamation mark. We have not been able to choose our arrival group yet, as it is too early. But everything else is complete, so we will not worry about it.

Do we have to hold the medallions up to a scanner or something when we get back on the ship or to order a drink? How does it work if we buy the clips for our waistband?

Hi all! We will be doing an Alaskan cruise on the Majestic this summer to celebrate our 40 th anniversary. We will be requesting a table for two each night, but really are hoping to enjoy our dining experience in the dining rooms with tables for two, not right on top of each other. Does anyone have any advice on which of the 3 main dining rooms would be best as far as being able to see the glaciers in hubbard and Glacier National park while we eat, and which dining room would be less crowded and less noisy? Also, while doing the Hubbard Glacier and Glacier National park, do we really want to be in the dining room? We dont want to miss the highlights just to eat! 😂. Thinking of making reservations about 6-6:30 each night. But again, any advice on that would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi all! My husband and I have a pre night at Captain Cook hotel booked, with transfers to the rail station and rail to Whittier the next day. My daughter has decided to go on the cruise now too. We can get a ship cabin, etc, but the hotel with rail package is sold out for the Princess allotment. I think we can get her a room at the hotel, but does anyone know the name of the rail company they use, as I want to try to book it separately? And is there Uber that she could use to get from the hotel to the rail station? Thank you for any advice on this

Martincath——I have been to Vancouver previously, so I feel safe in saying I have already seen most of the highlights. I also have mobility issues, and feel it best that I just rest after 7 days of sightseeing. So please refrain from “ questioning my sanity” before you hear my reasons for doing this. This is exactly why people like me, just innocently asking for advice on a topic, hesitate to do it on these boards.

We will be getting off a ship in Vancouver in June, with a late evening flight out. We have looked at post excursions and nothing of interest. We really just want to go to the airport and sit and relax, and read. We know we can’t check in for our flight and go through TSA until early evening. But is there a area in the airport we can just relax and get something to eat, and just sit and read, before check in?

Sorry…new to Princess and don’t know when to order medallions. Should this be done before or after final payment. And should this be done on the app, or online under our booking?

I may have to cancel my cruise next week for a non medical reason. We purchased the beverage package. The Celebrity agent told me that we could get the money back for the beverage package but the cost of the cruise would come back in FCCs to be used within one year, minus $100 per person we paid. He also said if I wanted to do one name change on the booking, I had 72 hours prior to sailing to do that. Has anyone had any experience with this? And does this sound accurate?

I have a booking that I have a deposit on, but I would like to reprice my EZAir. Can anyone tell me how to do that without changing the rate or schedule I already have?

I just read the link to Al Bacio. I thought this was free. It says there is an 18% service charge added to your check? Was going to just pick up muffins there. But wondering now if there is a charge there or if that is only for specialty coffees etc. Does anyone else know the answer to this?

Will be doing a short cruise on the Summit soon, and I have read the Martini Bar is open on some ships as people arrive , where they can order mimosas. Does anyone know if this is the case on the Summit? Or is there any other place onboard to do this as soon as we get on the ship?

Arriving into Vancouver after a Princess Alaskan cruise, but the best air schedule doesn't depart until 11 pm that night. What recommendations does anyone have as to what to do for that long time period in the afternoon and evening. We will have our cruise luggage with us, so can’t really just walk around. Maybe just best to go to the airport and wait it out?

So if I purchased the drink package, the tips are included in the price? But then the regular gratuities are split between the bartenders, cabin stewards and waiters? So bartenders are getting gratuities twice? Just trying to understand all this 😳

Going on only my second Celebrity cruise, and have a few questions. First, if I use my Onboard credit for gratuities, how do I do that? Do u need to go to the Purser’s desk to tell them to apply it to gratuities on my account? Please advise also, I really don’t need wifi until the final 2 days of my 4 night cruise. Can I just purchase it when I’m ready for those two days or do I need to purchase it for the whole cruise? Thank you for the advice!

Hi all! Going on a short 4 night cruise. I am considering not getting the wifi package, simply because I don’t want to be bothered by work emails. But can I do my flight check in, and download my boarding passes the night before our flight home in the computer lab, and what is the cost for that?
