  1. And now for something completely different.....
  2. Maybe I am drunk (no maybe, I am drunk), but I didn't follow all of your post.
  3. Thanks so much for all of the information. πŸ™‚ I called and she is Diamond. She and her friend are mulling over their options right now. πŸ™‚
  4. I normally cruise on Celebrity. Thus, that is the system to which I am used. My mother normally cruises on Royal Caribbean because it is what she has almost always cruised and because they go out of Galveston. She is 79 years old, so she doesn't book her travel anymore. She asked me to book a cabin for her and a friend on a cruise in November. She wants the drink package with her cruise. On Celebrity, if you book in a suite, you automatically get a premium drink package. Sometimes, this means that it is about the same amount of money (or occasionally cheaper) to book a suite rather than book a balcony cabin and add the drink package. I was thinking that might be the same on Royal Caribbean. However, on the cruise that she wishes to take, I can't seem to find out how much it costs per night for a drink package. How do I find that out? To me, the website seems to go in circles. Also, it seems that lots of suites don't have a drink package. This is the list that I found: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-royal-suite-class The suites available on this cruise are Sky Suites, but, according to the list above, they don't have a complimentary drink package. You have to be in a Star Suite in order to have a package. Is this correct? How can you be in a suite, but not have a drink package? Thanks in advance for any answers and information.
  5. My wife and I have always sailed together on Celebrity until I sailed with my mother earlier this year. What does that mean for my wife and my points? Do I have more points than she does? Does she still receive the benefits of my level (should I hit a higher level than she is at because of those points)?
  6. Aren't you the cynic? πŸ™‚ I would hope that they would embrace the ability to have two people paying extra on-board stuff like drinks, specialty restaurants, shopping and gratuities instead of one.
  7. That would make an interesting app, one that put two solo travelers together in the same cabin with separate beds (hopefully of the same gender).
  8. Thanks so much for the information. I didn't think that it could be as high as 75% (simply a hyperbole by the poster), but it is interesting to know that North America makes up nearly half of the world-wide the cruising dollars.
  9. Could you, please, back up that last sentence? I would like to know if that is an absolute fact.
  10. I am originally from New Orleans, but I live in Lubbock, Texas. I have season tickets for The Saints. I stay at The Wyndham on Royal Street when I am in town for the games. They know that people fly in for the games, but that their rooms will not be ready until 2 p.m. when the game is (usually) happening. Thus, people fly in, stop at the hotel, check in their luggage to the cloak room, and head to the game. After the game, you go back to the hotel, grab your luggage and check in. πŸ™‚
  11. I would love the Tahitian Treasures Trans-Pacific in the suite above the bridge. πŸ™‚
  12. TG are my initials and I live in Texas. That is both funny and weird. πŸ™‚ I am in Lubbock, how about you?
  13. I returned today from a four day Celebrity Reflection 5/20-5/24, 2024. My balcony on a Sunset Sky Suite, cabin 1214 looked like this: we had a lounger, a small table, two standard chairs, a large table and a tall backed chair (left to right in the picture). I took the picture for this thread after having read it before the cruise.
  14. We protested on cookies? And what is Decoy wine?
  15. My June 23rd cruise on Solstice to Alaska is completely sold out.
  16. Oddly enough, I had originally booked an all inclusive Concierge Cabin. When the Concierge Cabins were sold out, my TA called them to check on upgrading. She upgraded me to an Aquaclass cabin and saved me $1,300. However, I noticed last week that the "savings" was because it was a no perk rate. Thus, last week, I had her add the Premium drink package and Premium Wi-Fi. Because of this sale and the weird way I ended up adding the Premium package later, I will be able to take advantage of the sale, I think. πŸ™‚
  17. Yup. Call Celebrity or your TA. I e-mailed my TA earlier today. πŸ™‚
  18. Pardon my ignorance, but what is "sous vide"?
  19. I was just able to do on-line check in for my May 20th cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. Maybe try a different browser?
  20. I smoked my first cigar on a Celebrity cruise. You can smoke outdoors at the aft bar (where the smoke simply gets wafted away from the ship because the ship is usually moving). I believe that there is also an area on the main deck on the starboard (I think) side of the ship where you can smoke. The bar is nicer.
  21. Thank you so much. Interestingly, day 2 and day 6 are our sea days, so I guess that's a lock. πŸ™‚
