  1. I am on the sun. I appears that they have BLOCKED most apps from working even when you pay. Safari and Facebook messenger work fineThe following I have noticed no longer works

    Twitter

    Shazam

    Music app

Some Canadian websites and all video have also been blocked. These apps work when I go ashore. Oddly enough cruse critic is the best working site I can get onboard

  2. If Bliss can not fit under the lions gate bridge. Then NCL will also have to cancel the Panama Canal cruises as the bridge of the Americas has the same clearance of 201 as the lions gate bridge. All ships using both the old and new canals pass under this bridge to get to the pacific. Princess has a cruise on Royal Princess (sister to Regal) in 2019 that departs LA and arrives in to Vancouver. Bliss may fit otherwise it has a long trip around the horn to get to the west coast

  3. I am on the sun at the moment do not know if this is happening on other ships but they are heavily filtering the internet. Most apps on my iPhone are not able to connect. I am only getting safari and email to connect All video apps are also blocked . They are even blocking the major Canadian news networks. If WhatsApp works you can get 5 hours. You will want to bookmark the logout page as it is easy to lose it and turning off wifi on your phone as the internet will not log out automatically after turning off wifi

  4. I was at Canada place for a tour of the millennium and noticed they have Redone the signs near the escalator to the convention centre hall c where the check in is located. The departures signs at on a blue background and shows the process step by step as you travel on the escalator signs for arrivals are on a light green background and shows which way to different modes of transportation. The private car pick up zone is on. P1 of the parking garage and can be accessed by the elevator that is visible as soon as you exit customs. Upon exiting the elevator on p1. Follow the painted green feet. The escalator is the way to exit for public transit and exit to city

  5. The late seating show is at 7 and main seating show is at 9. Welcome aboard is one show for both at 7:45 . You will only have 1 chance to see the ice show as they assign you a time according to your muster station. If you get a port with a late departure they may have no shows in the theatre. Instead there is a night at the movies. One at 6 and the other at 9. The movies are different

  6. There was 3 dance parties in studio B. 2 were black and white theme with the orchestra that does music for the shows in the theatre on formal nights and 1 was a country theme with the band that plays in the star lounge on a nightlly bases. there is also recorded ballroom music in Dizzys every evening

  7. I have traveled out of Vancouver several times and last year left on a day with 3 ships in. I arrived at 11:15 and was on by 12:45. If you arrive earlier it will be a shorter wait. on 3 ship days It is CBP that slows down the process. they will only allow 50 passengers at a time in line. There is a waiting room that is set up between security and CBP and they will only allow 50 at a time in to the CBP line. Security screening will stop if that waiting room fills to capacity. It happened just after i entered that waiting room. The 2 biggest challenges for disembarkation is CBSA and taxis. Vancouver does not have enough taxis and UBER is not offered here. There is a push for uber and more taxi cabs . Seattle is not immune to problems ether. I just got off a ship at pier 91 and had to wait almost an hour to get a taxi with only 2 ships in and the taxi line was really disorginized. signage was hard to understand.

  8. If there is a short cruise that goes to the right places I like to tack them on to a trans Atlantic cruise or a 7 day cruise to extend them. I did a 4 day Normandy cruise right before a transatlantic as I found it was cheaper then having those 4 days on the economy I also used one to introduce my niece to cruises

  9. If you don't get off by about 9:30-10. they will start calling your name over the pa and will start looking for you. Once the last person leaves. The b2b guests will then be escorted to customs and back. Once that is done. They have the zero count needed to start boarding. .if a person stays behind too long it will be delayed . Newark airport had no luggage storage . If you take the train to penn station in New York there are luggage storage facilities there. When arriving ask a Amtrak employee where it is located. Schwartz luggage is also a few block alway. The one in the station is run by Amtrak

  10. The ships out of Seattle usually stop in Victoria as thier Canada stop . They tend to stay in Ketchikan until 1. Jewel stretches it to 3. As they head to Victoria afterwards Vancouver based ships usually stay until between 5-7.

Got terminals. Both Vancouver and Seattle have thier ups and downs

The terminal in Vancouver can be a bit crazy in may but becomes more efficient as the season goes on but is centrally located.

I just got back from Seattle and found the the terminal entrance for bell street terminal has been relocated to the opposite side of the building from the bag drop. It faces Anthony's which is a good place to eat before or after a cruise. Pier 91 was a absolute gong show with 2 ships in. NCL has a better location on the waterfront. Edgewater hotel and Seattle Marriott Waterfront are both walking distance to pier 66

  11. I did Indy last year and had a good time. When a time Change occurred it was at 2 am. If you have a stop at a us port before ft lauderdale US Immigration will be done onboard and it may take a while. Ok that day the crew may be stressed out by the end as they not only have immigration as well they have us public health inspection and us coast guard inspection which involves a full crew drill. If it is in St Thomas the captain may delay departure and all aboard. The weather warmed up about day 8. There are plenty of things to do onboard. The promenade was crowded in the cold days but was less busier when it was warm enough to enjoy the open decks
