Is Sunday Night football only shown in the sports bar or are there other places where you can view it? We won't be out of the US waters on the mississippi before the game is over so hoping we have reception.
Thanks
We were on the Dawn on the November 15 sailing. We went to the Pearly Kings to watch the Patriots/Giants game. It was the 430 Eastern time game, which was at 330 ship time. The bartender said he couldn't guarantee which game would be on, because he had no control of which game the "company" would broadcast but we lucked out and it was the Patriots/Giants game, and what a game it was!!

You are very fortunate that you can afford the "suite" life but not pay NCL 5.00 a day for a large bottle of water.
I know its crazy, isn't it? My case of water cost less than one bottle on the ship!!
-
I figured we would give it a try, slapped a luggage tag on a case of water, the porter took it, loaded it up with our luggage, and it was delivered to the suite. It was an hour after the rest of the luggage, so maybe it was checked for contraband.....

I am attaching the dailies from the Dawn (New Orleans to the Western Caribbean) from our November 15 sailing. Sorry, I cant find day one or day two.
If you have any questions, just ask away.

When were you able to purchase in advance? We are 68 days and still not available.
We purchased the package on October 14 for a cruise leaving November 15, so a month and a day. At the time it was $174.93 the price has gone up since then.

We were just in Cozumel on Nov 17. We walked to Jimmy Buffets which was right by our dock. (5 minute walk). My daughter and her friend parasailed off the back of a boat from there. It was $60 each.
Jimmy Buffets doesn't have a beach, but they do have 2 giant trampolines and other big water floatee things. We had a giant order of nachos, 2 margaritas, 3 beers, two Bahamas for a total of $70 plus tip. There is no charge for the water toys, but the guy asks for tips.
We went to Nachi Cocum on our last trip and since we already had an all inclusive scheduled for Costa Maya, we didn't want to do two.

We were on the Dawn 11-15 to 11-22.
We had purchased the unlimited internet package in advance, so glad we did.
Only one of us could be online at once, but we were all able to sign in and access our e-mails or whatever.
Bon Voyage!!

Just off the Dawn. I didn't notice if the hot tubs had signs. Only 20 kids on the cruise. Concierge told us that there are 800 kids under 18 this week. GOOD LUCK to them!!

May I suggest Drago's for grilled oysters for dinner Saturday if you are in town. So outstanding they will make your babies come out crooked.
Thanks for the suggestion!! No more babies for us, LOL!!

We will be boarding Sunday, please don't drink all the rum!!
Have a great cruise!

Yes we are planning on going to the meet and greet. Will your daughter and friend be going too? I wasn't planning on having the boys come but it would be nice for them to meet some other young adults their age, so I just might drag them along. :) We are in a 2 bedroom suite on the 11th deck.
I am not sure if they are coming to the meet and greet. If they have a sailaway party by the pool, we will all be there. Just look for the group of 12 in Patriots shirts. We were have cruised on 11 in 11020, the jade suite twice. I love it! I will miss 2 bathrooms especially with two young women!

We are heading out on the 13th on the Dawn out of New Orleans for the western Caribbean. We chose this week because this is our anniversary week and we usually cruise around the same time every year.
This year we decided to bring our 3 adult boys (22,21&19) to do a last family vacation where we are footing the bill. We are giving them a taste of the "suite life" and hope they feel spoiled and that we have a lifetime of memories to look back and reminisce.
We are super excited..only 4 more sleeps until we get on the plane for NOLA!
Hey there, we are on the same cruise as you, are you going to the meet & greet, there is a roll call.....I am cruising with my 22 year old daughter and her best friend, we are also in a suite, a family suite without a balcony.....

When my kids were minors I would bring a copy of their birth certificates and my marriage certificate, just in case. I was asked for it once.
I have taken my daughters friends a few time, had the parents fill out the paper work, copies of their licenses, everything that was required, and was never asked for the paperwork. But I always got it, just in case!!
Have a great trip.

We are cruising on the Dawn Sunday, November 15!!! New Orleans to the Western Caribbean!!

I purchased the unlimited internet on the Dawn for my sailing of 10/23 and it was 29.99/day. I was able to purchase it in on the second day for 180.00.
While it was slow in the internet café (deck 9 mid-ship), it was NON EXISTENT in my cabin. I talked to others in my group who purchased it and they all said it was a waste of money. Unless you like running back and forth to the internet café (or you HAVE to have internet for your business, like me), I would not recommend purchasing.
I agree, it is painfully slow!! I had my tablet and phone with me, but I would still go to the internet café for work related business.
-
With that in mind, with all of the NCL changes and increases, probably by the time it becomes available for me to purchase, the price will go up again.
Hopefully it wont!!!
-
Thank you! Maybe the option will appear in another month or so.
May I ask how much the unlimited was?
It must have gone up, the price is showing now as $209.93, we paid $174.93 on October 14.
We are traveling with two 22 year olds, I need to check in to work once a day, so the cost is well worth it!! Normally I would just book the 250 minute package which used to be $100 is now $125. I am platinum so they add in 30 extra minutes. Part of our suite perk for our next cruise is free internet, that cruise is just my husband and I so we wont need unlimited.
-
Thanks for posting!! I am on the Dawn for the 5th time next Sunday!! I can't wait.
So glad that Dingo Dave is back!! Bobby was good on our last cruise, but I prefer Dingo Dave.
Was David Devinchy on your cruise, I enjoy him and have heard that he is on the ship and heard that he is off the ship...
Thanks!!

I purchased the unlimited package online about a month ago for my cruise on the Dawn that is next week. Maybe it isn't available for your cruise yet?
-
We will be on NCL in February. I believe this is usually their dock.
We will be doing excursions on our other 2 stops so wanted a easy not too expensive day here.
So, my question is when we walk off the dock is there anything to do around there for 3-4 hours? Restaurants? Bars? Shopping? Thanks!
Senor Frogs is right there and lots of fun!!

Excursions
in Belize
We were in Belize on the Dawn in January, we booked Goffs Caye.
http://belizecruiseexcursions.com/BelizeBeachSnorkeling.htm#_=_
If the link doesn't work, google Goffs Caye.
We had a great day shopped a little, found out at the pier where we needed to be and were taken to a beautiful tiny island. I would do it again on our next cruise, but my daughter doesn't like to snorkel.
Have fun!!

Oh wow thank you. I found her review from Jan 2013 with tons of pictures. Looks awesome.
We went to Maya Key in January and are going back in 2 weeks. For us, 4 hours were perfect. We walked around and walked around the island, the amount of animals there is incredible! We had lunch, took a swim then headed back. Probably around 230-3. We loved it!!
