  1. A lot of threads have made it to the stock pile lately.
  2. Processing Times COVID-19 Update: May 2021 It may take up to 4 weeks from the day you apply until your application status is “In Process.” During these 4 weeks, your application is delivered to a mail facility, your payment is processed, and your application is scanned and sent to us. If your passport status update says “Not Available,” your application and supporting documents are safely on their way to us. Our call center is experiencing extremely high call
  3. When cruising starts it's going to come fast and furious. Passport renewals are still backlogged for months. Everybody should make an effort to be sure they are up to date and ready to go. Allot of us think our cruises may get cancelled and you can wait to renew but now is the time to get it done. My wife and I waited 4 months for ours. So glad we have them in hand now. Just a friendly reminder.
  4. I agree we all got duped on this one. We took the bait for sure. Original poster is in Istanbul by now. Nowhere’s to be heard from since posting.
  5. 1:30 pm eastern time Saturday May 1st. Looks like the whole thing was a load of crap. Hopefully they can get this terminal opened up by mid July like the rest of New Jersey and New York plans on doing for there services. ZERO need to avoid having ships sail at 95% vaccinated passengers. Puts no risk to anybody working in the area especially if they to are also vaccinated. Lets get this show on the road.
  6. With all the progress we have made the last 30 days is there any new word on Bayonne? The thought of them not being able sail out of there by this September really don’t make any sense. Are they still planning on making an announcement May 1st?
  7. Reading through the 300+ comments with both scientific and political responses I think the consensus has pretty much agreed on what the topic was initially about. If cruising was to start in the near future (who knows what that means) it would be beneficial to start with ships completely vaccinated. I also think the consensus is that DeSantis stepping in to take that possibility of sailing away from all of us with his “executive order” is not beneficial to anyone. The only benefit of his blocking companies from requiring proof of vaccination before boarding I have read about on t
  8. After watching the documentary on HBO last night called “ The last cruise” about the princess cruise that had over 700 cases and 14 dead I am in no hurry to get on a cruise ship that Is not fully vaccinated. My wife was horrified. Our choice and I respect anybody else’s decision to give it a try. watch the show and let me know your thoughts. If there is one thing I learned from it I can now respect the delay these companies have implemented. An unvaccinated cruise ship can spiral out of control in a couple days.
  9. Florida and cruise companies could be locked in a battle over vaccine requirements as the state puts a ban on vaccine passports while cruise lines continue to mandate the jabs for passengers and crew. On April 2, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order banning vaccine passports and local businesses from requiring this proof of vaccination. This ban applies to cruise lines as well, DeSantis' press secretary Cody McCloud told Insider in an email. "The Governor's Executive Order provides that businesses in Florida are prohibited from requiring patrons or customers to provide
  10. DeSantis on one hand wants to sue the government to allow cruising to start in July in Florida. Then he follows up saying that the cruise companies cannot require passengers be vaccinated to board the ship. Its a peck on the cheek and then a slap in the back of the head on the way out.
  11. The point I think I was trying to get across when I started the thread has been lost. What I was saying about the set back that could possibly happen lies in the hands of the Cruise companies. I really think that if DeSantis' executive order includes cruise companies they will delay their start date until "heard immunity" is obtained. If they are forced to be told they cannot resume cruises with vaccinated passengers only TO START then they will not risk sailing out of Florida. Its a world of difference for Royal Caribbean to leave that port knowing if all are vaccinated and not kn
  12. While we all thought DeSantis was coming to our rescue by suing the Government to allow cruising out of Florida he throws in his own personal monkey wrench. He could push cruising out of Florida back months if not a year by not allowing the cruising companies to make their own decision to cruise with only vaccinated passengers and crew to start. This should be the decision of the Companies running their business and the customers using their service.
  13. While we where all sleeping coco cay has had 3 more piers built😉. They are all heading there.
  14. What a nightmare for these poor people. I wonder if half of them will ever want to get on a ship again.
