  1. I have flights booked with Air Canada with EzAir Sept 25 - Toronto (YYZ) -Vancouver (YVR) and Oct 16 - San Francisco (SFO)- Toronto (YYZ) for a B2B cruise Sept 26.

Air Canada pilots are planning on going on strike soon.  Air Canada might start canceling flights by Friday.

I know my flight is not until the Sept 25 and I am not worried about my Oct 16 return flight  as I am sure the strike would not last that long.

I called EzAir yesterday, they knew about the pending strike but they had not had any notification from Air Canada yet.  She told me to call back next week.

If Air Canada cancels flights and they will refund the price which EzAir will receive.

With EzAir, they are suppose to get you to the port.

There is another airline that would get me Vancouver.

The other airline price is double the price I paid for Air Canada.

Would I have to pay the other airline price?

Unfortunately the app didn’t work for me on the Island or the Regal so I know I did not get to fully utilize what the medallion and app has to offer. I couldn’t order food or beverages for delivery, but I am already dreaming of a delivery of cheese fries in a few short months!

While in the cabin you can order from the tv

  3. Most stores and restaurants all take credit cards or debt cards.  One restaurant near me in Toronto only takes cash or debt.

If going to a craft or flea markets, you might need Canadian cash.

Taxi, you might want to ask before getting in if they take a credit card.

  4. Since going solo, you are paying 2x cruise fare, 1x tax/port tax,  if there were  any cabins.

Tell the agent she found a second person and wants to book a cabin.

Since you said cabins are available, I would pick a cabin for 2 since you would be paying 2x anyway and put any name and birthday down with your address for the second person.  Pay the whole cruise with her credit card.  When the second person does not show up, Princess will eventually refund the tax/port tax for the second.

She might never clear the waitlist.

I didn’t realize Princess still had formal nights.  How many on a 10 night cruise?  If we don’t want to pack formal clothes, we can just eat at one of the informal venues, correct?

No longer called “Formal Night” now Dress to Impress night.

People wear what is comfortable for them,

    - woman - dress, pants with fancy tops, long dress, pant suit, skirt

    - men - dress slack, with or without jacket, button down shirt with or without tie, 3 button golf type of shirt with nice slacks,  tuxedo, suits

Some change after dining for shorts.

With most people flying and weight limits for luggage, more are watching what they bring.

Use ArriveCAN when returning to Canada and you can go directly to the Express Lanes and use the E-gates and through customs in 5 mins. There was a huge lineup for Customs when we returned last night. I'm not sure why people do not use both the ArriveCAN and MPC apps to get through customs quickly.

I also use YYZ Express to go through the fast line for security at Pearson.

  7. On my 2019 cruise, I tried to order a drink, my phone showed cabin location, I switched to my iPad and it showed at Princess Live location. I used my IPad at Princess Live.  I never received the drink after a 45 wait, my Ipad kept showing Being Prepared.  We left and my drink had been sitting at the bar the whole time.  I took a sip and handed it back as it was by that time had been water down with the melting ice and got a new drink.

  8. Add her dietary needs on her app

It is easier if you take the same table/time in the same dining room each night.

The head waiter, will come over to your table each night with the next night’s menu and ask her what she wants to eat.  Can also order a special meal for dining room on port days when one dining room will be open.

    Try dining room for breakfast.

Mention your mom’s dietary needs when you first sit down.

At the buffet, ask for the chef and he will help find the correct food.
