Thanks, we are going to do that next time, we both only ate 3 pieces

Tell them when you go in that you are only using 1 credit.

It is too much pizza for one person.  Most people left food on their plate.

We had to use our credits up so on our last causal credit at Alfredo’s, we ordered salad/soup, then shared one pizza and the veal ravioli (I think about 4 pieces) and each dessert.

We were hoping to visit in September and just have no idea what to do with our luggage. We are staying in London for the night and would feel like we would have to yo yo back and forth just to drop off our luggage.

Check out International Friends.  They go on embarkment  and disembarkment days.

Embarkment - Pick up at certain London and LHR hotels, stop at Stonehenge then dropped off at Southampton dock.

Disembarkment - Pick up at Southampton dock, stop at Salibury, Stonehenge, Windsor then dropped at the door of certain London and Heathrow hotels.

Purchase your tickets for Stonehenge and Windsor through them.  They also have others tours.

A great way to see another part of Britain on your way to London.

I have used them after my cruises from Southampton and Dover.

    4. Has anyone stayed at the Hyatt Place on 17th st. and booked it through Value Trips? What was your experience?

    .

    Nancy

I have used Value Trips a few times with no problem.  My last visit I saved $90 over booking direct with the hotel price.

The price you see on their site does not include taxes. A credit card is used to hold the booking.  They do have black out dates.  You will receive a confirmation email with your booking number, it will show the total hotel cost.  If you need to cancel/change your booking, you call direct to the hotel.

I always call after receiving the confirmation email, to make sure I am booked.

I have not used the shuttle from airport to hotel, there is a small charge.  At check in, if you want the $ shuttle to Port Everglades, sign up.  Taxi might be cheaper.

It can get busy in the morning on embarkment days for breakfast - buffet, scrambled eggs, sausage, bread, yogurt, tea/coffee/juice, enough to get you to the ship.

There are many restaurants around the hotel, grocery.

What happens with refundable OBC at the end of the cruise?

If under $25, go to Guest Services and get cash.

If more than $25, you will receive a US$ cheque in an envelope not from Princess so check that it is not junk mail.

Take a printed copy of your account home with you, can get a copy at Guest Services or the machine beside Guest Services.  You will receive a copy by email after you return home.

I can't compare the cruise lines.

But I will start out here and try to help.

You are cruising right before a major dry-dock, where they will certainly change the dining venues around, and there will no longer be a Harmony.  I am not sure if they might change these restaurants before the dry-dock??? or do it all at that time.

When is Majestic going into dry dock?

    Everyone gets the email.

I have not had an upgrade Bid Offer email  before.  Before when you paid for an upgrade, I had a couple.  I had a downgrade offer from balcony to inside for Feb 2024 cruise, I was too late to reply with no internet.

  7. I have been in August 2x, short sleeves, long pants.  One port, could have used shorts, it was hot.

When I went at the end of May 2022, rain, wore spring jackets the whole time.

You never know what the weather will be, do layers can always take off or add.

I remember for Alaska in August, I checked the weather channel the week before, it predicted rain and cold the whole week.  I brought heavy clothing.  It never rained and was hot.

What drinks can you get in the main dining room for free other than water and tea/coffee?

Unsweetened ice tea, milk, water, tea, coffee free in dining room.

In the buffet, can get free lemonade, unsweetened ice tea, coffee, water, milk, in the morning juice.  I don’t know if you can get lemonade in dining room.  In the morning, can get juice in the dining room, I don’t know if you can get juice in the evening.

Is that tablet one for a headache ?

His iPad.  You swipe your medallion as you enter the dining room, then he looks at his iPad to see where there is an empty table.  They used to use paper chart that had a plastic over it and would mark a table off with a washable marker.

He might need a tablet for his head the first night on any cruise as passengers don’t know where to go.

  10. If you like Princess, take out a Future Cruise Deposit for $100 CDN from your credit card that you used for the cruise.  You do not need to decide now for a new cruise, you have one year to book if not used refund to credit card.  You get OBC depending on length of cruise and cabin category.  Visit Future Cruise desk and fill in form and drop in box there, or on TV/app.

    I have some Princess questions.

On sea days Sabatini’s becomes Alfredo’s Pizza. I have two free casual meals. Do I need to reserve Alfredo’s or just show up?

Alfredo’s is walk up and they will sit you.  Depending on time, there might be a line.

I meant - it's a problem if you get to the airport early with the luggage which the airline will not accept until it's within a 4 hour window of the flight.

There is a limited amount of seats at the air line counter area. A lot of people sitting on the floor with their luggage waiting for their airline counter to open up.

that won't be a problem. We had a 5 pm flight,  now THAT's a problem.

Take a ship post cruise excursion, you won’t have too long a wait before you able to check in.

  14. I have a 3 day cruise Vancouver to San Francisco on the Ruby.  Princess post cruise excursion is $75.

I stay on the Ruby to have a 16 day cruise San Francisco to San Francisco.  The same post cruise excursion is now $139.

The description of the 2 post cruise excursion is the same.

Why a higher price16 days later for the same excursion???

Did some more weather research. Looks like the temperatures will be very comfortable on our first leg with a little rain forecasted at most of the stops in Norway.
