Thanks! Last time we were on a HAL ship was in 2019 on the Prisendam. Loved the ship. Met Kazu and participated in her wine tasting in her cabin. Hope she still uses the corkscrew my husband made for her. Looking forward to sailing HAL again, even on a big ship!

The first time we sailed on the Prisendam was just before she retired. Loving the small ship atmosphere we jumped ship to Azamara. We find it to be just as wonderful.

We checked in and printed our documents including our boarding passes. We didn’t have luggage tags to print. Will they appear on our account sometime soon? We like to have them on our luggage when we get to the pier.

We have a night at Rudy’s on the New Statendam cruise and an Andy Matsuda dinner on our holiday cruise. Can’t wait!

We received an email today about a special event on our upcoming cruise, the Andy Matsuda dinner. Just wondering about this. Has anyone been to this and could tell about it? I couldn’t find any information besides the cost. TIA

I thought I saw on Facebook this morning… haven’t verified… that HAL changed their drink policy to charge the overage on drinks not on your plan, not the cost of the drink. I hope this is so. Can anyone (onboard now) verify?

This was June 12, 2016 Venice Harbor. We were on a ship that was blocked in by protesters. We sat there for hours. It’s taken 6 years to close the harbor to ships. We were expecting it. That’s the way it goes!

That was my question to Azamara too! Just hope it all works out for everyone. I’ll let you know how it went for us. Until then…. 🤞

We were charged the penny each too… but no voucher for the Venice to Ravenna. We did get our pier to airport voucher for Istanbul. They checked and we are on the manifest so we should be good to go. Hope you can get to Customs Hall. That may be the issue. Good luck. (I checked to see if it doesn’t work out there is a train…)

You got it wrong.. They told me that if you’re staying in a hotel you won’t be able to get back through security to meet the shuttle. I questioned it to the point that they spoke with their supervisors. We are not staying in Venice, and it would be easier to meet at the airport.

This must be a change because we too are flying in the day before and was told that we wouldn’t be able to catch the shuttle from the airport. They said it was something to do with the meeting place is behind security. The Azamara agent checked with supervisors since I was complaining. We are taking a cab into Venice to meet at the bus. Our name is on the manifest, but no vouchers. This has been so stressful! Good luck getting to the ship! (Us too!) Cheers

Looking for information on how Mobile Passport and Airside work once you arrive at your destination. We can use Global Entry but this may be better. Thanks in advance. Gail

Has anyone recently been to the Postojna Caves that could tell me how wet and cold it is now. We can’t decide to do it or not. TIA

The agent also added the shuttle transfer to our account which now has a two cent balance! He said that you need to have the transfer voucher ( that will come during check-in process) to get on the bus. If you haven’t heard back from them about the shuttle you may want to give them a call. This is a mess… wish communication would be better. Also, they will have Covid tests at the port for those that need it for a cost. Cheers

I’ve been on the phone with Azamara about the shuttle from Venice to Ravenna. Arriving the day before, we have booked a hotel near the airport thinking that there would be changes to the Venice departure. Now after waiting over two hours on hold to find out that we can not return to the airport to catch the shuttle to Ravenna. Security reasons. We have to find our way to the Tronchetto train station on Venice to catch it. They didn’t have another stop on the mainland. Poor planning. Hope others see this since we filled out the form on time and submitted it, didn’t get an answer so looked into it. Also, if they haven’t gotten back to you, you probably should look into it. Cheers
