Improve the wine selections for those who want to purchase the premium alcohol package.

Hi, Sorry that no one has responded. The pinel island ferry is a good distance from the port. At least 1/2 hour and much more in traffic. We hired a private driver. You can also make arrangements for transportation from the kayak company that is at the ferry stop.
You will need to do more research in order to make this happen. Sorry that I cannot give you more help.

There can be problems in ports where there are tenders. In those cases, if you want to get off before or at the same time as the ship excursions, it is best to make arrangements for that. We have found the cruise directors to be helpful in working this out.
For most ports, there is not a problem but I think that it is better to let people know the reality rather than misinforming them.

You can get it at any place that serves food for lunch or dinner. Sometimes the service is a bit slow in the Terrace Cafe/Waves area. We found it better in waves than in the Terrace Cafe.

The straws on Oceania add a paper taste to the drink. I am going to bring my own. Just can't decide which ones.

Hi, Thanks for fixing this but when you give people permission, there is a drop down that allows you to set view only. This would solve your problem. You can also go back and change everyone's settings to view only. Hope this helps.

According to their website now, all of our stops have been extended to the original times. We have not been notified. This is making me a bit crazy. Maybe someone just made a mistake?????

I would agree with you if the port time changes were early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Many of these were changes from 10:00AM to 12:00PM arrival or 4:00PM to 3:00PM departure. I suppose ships are arriving at different times but midday changes are more difficult to explain.

We just had 2 hours added back to our stop in St. Maarten. Nothing in the other 4 ports yet. Maybe they are listening????

Nothing has changed in the requirements for St. Lucia. It has been the same for years. What has changed is that for some strange reason, the cruise lines owned by Norwegian including Oceania and Regent have suddenly decided to emphasize this issue. It makes no sense. The only people that would be asked for a certificate would be those that have been in areas of South America or Africa recently. If that does not apply to you, then there is no reason to produce a certificate.

Thanks for responding. I am lucky to have been able to really cut back my work schedule. When you reach your 70's, you'll have time for reviews. 🙂 Let me know if anything stands out that you might have forgotten to do for your trip planning. I am so happy to have Avalon taking care of most things.

Hi Hoyaheel, I hope you had a great trip. Have you posted a review anywhere? Would love to hear from you.

Our changes include arriving at noon instead of 10:00AM in 2 ports. Departing at 3 instead of 4:00 or 5:00. I am not ready to choose a cruise to just stay on board. I also enjoy planning my time ashore. I don't want to go to the beach for an hour which is what the ships excursions will have us do in order to accommodate the time change. I'm going and will have fun but will be very hesitant to book a future cruise with Oceania. Too many choices out there.

Very discouraging that Oceania would knock 1-2 hours off 90% of the port times just the day after final payment was due. I have been so impressed with our previous cruises but this is really discouraging. This particular cruise is in the Caribbean on the Riviera but none of the ports were affected by the hurricane. I will have to think very carefully about booking with them again. Most of our plans are now ruined. Maybe they can't sell their own excursions as this may be the only option with such short port stops.

Wish I could answer this. We are planning to visit Divi Little Bay Resort in December. I have been in touch with Aqua Mania Adventures who handles the passes and the chair rental and they are responsive. Will report back in December but probably too late for you.
Would love to hear from someone so bumping this up.

Thank you so much. I have emailed some place in St. Martin that does this testing but they will not answer. I am planning to go elsewhere. Thanks again.

We ask for the wine list to be given to us when we enter the dining room and are seated. After a while, they get it together and have it ready for us. We also ask to see the "sommelier" before we order. That way, we can be assured that we will have wine with dinner. 🍷

We have always taken advantage of this. For the past couple of years, we have only paid the difference if we ordered a wine that cost more than our package allowed. Eclipse, Summit etc. They did not advertise it, but it has been an option. Great way to use on board credit.

Cafe El Punto - Sangria was the best. We will go back for that and their stuffed avacado plate.

Its no longer a Meridien so any association with Starwood etc is gone. It is now the Sofitel. Things have changed but you can certainly contact them to check. We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. It is a peaceful property.

We are on the December 5th cruise Riviera. There has been no reduction in price. Some categories are sold out. We did get an offer to cruise the prior 10 day cruise for an amazingly low price - supposedly only for those who would then do back to back. We could not take them up on it but possibly this is where some very low prices have been noted.

We love the larger B3 verandas when we are travelling in warm climates. B4 usually has wait list because they are the least expensive veranda room, I think, and some people do not know about the larger Verandas on B3
