It's there. The only big difference I noticed between the Legend and the Pride is that they've taken out half of one of the fun shops on the Legend. The one with the alcohol is much smaller than on the Pride.

I went to guest service, and the best they were willing to do is to refund my full price ticket x 3 to be 1 full price ticket (my daughter) and 2 observer ticket (me and my son), which I think it's totally unfair.
I don't really think it's unfair. You got there and were told your son couldn't parasail. At that point, you could cancel the entire thing and take the refund. You didn't, you still chose to go on the excursion, with your daughter participating and you and your son there for the ride. I would have taken what guest services offered and made sure they would check into it to update the requirements of the excursion if necessary.

You should have gone to guest services that evening to discuss it with them, they could have easily remedied the problem (refunding money, etc.). The best you can do now is send an email to customer service.

It depends on the terms of your fare: https://www.carnival.com/popups/bookingengine/reservation-terms-and-conditions.aspx
Scroll about 1/3 of the way down.

Are you sure this is really a credit? I usually see this when I cancel and cruise and rebook another one. The $50/pp change fee shows up like this on my new booking.

Probably not, but the only person who can tell you for sure is Carnival. Call them. And good luck!

If you explore the deck plans on the carnival website and click on a room, you'll see this: "All images are representative of staterooms. Actual configurations may vary."
There's probably something in the cruise contract waiving them of any liability for your room not looking exactly like a picture.

I feel like there used to be more trees! Saw several stumps. Did Carnival cut trees down?!?
Hurricanes. Trees die. The maintenance crew cuts down/up the dead trees.

I certainly hope the hold locks the price..I went back into the cruise I have on hold after 11p tonight and the 'Icing on the Cake" offer is gone and that same cruise is $450 higher.. Definitely getting my deposit in on this one on time!
That Icing on the Cake offer was really great, especially if you're a solo cruiser. It was almost like not having to pay for second person, compared to regular early saver rates.

I was on an early saver fare and price matched online to a resident rate. It was denied. I called, and the rep price matched for me. Every price match I tried to do after that online was denied. I'm not sure that they didn't switch my rate. Luckily, the price difference was only $20, so I didn't care, but make sure that if you match the resident rate, that you can still price match after that.

When I was on the Pride in October, they didn't have the little slips of paper for the platinum brunch drink. It automatically applied to my onboard account. They of course, applied it to the first drink I bought that day (a soda for later) instead of the first alcoholic drink I bought that day (a mimosa).
So just make sure they apply it to your fancy alcoholic drink and not a bottled water or something like that lol

I'll also point out that if you're sitting on a ton of nonrefundable OBC that you need to spend, it's better to spend $300 of that OBC even if it's $250 back home because on the ship, you're spending 'free' money and back home, you're spending your own money 😛

Ohhh, the Spirit in Alaska was my first cruise ever! And the Spirit class ships are my favorite ones. I may have to fly to Jacksonville for a cruise!

You should contact the Special Needs team so that they can alert the ship/crew of your dietary restrictions.
Thanks! I have found that doing so makes no difference as to my experience on Board. Carnival is usually super awesome about dietary restrictions but with the tablet system they implemented, it would exclude things I knew I could eat or that they could adjust, and the waiters had a very hard time understanding that. They only knew what the tablet was telling them and after the tablet excluded all things but a salad one night, I got the hostess involved and she was like, oh my gosh, there are so many things we can make you, so sorry about the tablet!
-
Can anyone recently on the Legend say how they are doing dietary restrictions right now? On the Pride, it used to be the hostess would come by each night in the dining room, but on my October cruise, they had switched to some tablet system which was basically useless. I'm hoping the Legend hasn't switched to the tablet system...

Received confirmation of my shareholder credit for February cruise. Around 2 weeks turnaround from request to notification it was credited, own between 200 and 300 shares, on a VIFP/resident rate (so discounted, but not casino discounted).

Did a search, but didn't come up with anything. Has anyone used the Peloton app with the Carnival wi-fi? I'm assuming it would have to be the top tier, streaming wi-fi, but did the app work without buffering for five minutes and/or erroring?

What's the turnaround time on these kits now? I ordered from Optum on the 4th and haven't received any kind of shipping notification. They did charge my card on the 5th though....

Carnival has gf pizza at the pizza place on Lido and through room service for the $5 upcharge. I am not a picky eater but in the last couple of years, Carnival changed the crust recipe and the crust is now horrible. Last time, I ate the toppings off and left the "crust" and swore never again.

Yes, that exact same thing happened to me about 8 weeks ago. I went from early saver to a casino rate that gave me $500 OBC.
I book through a family-owned travel agency, so they called and changed it for me, but said it was easy (the worst part is waiting on hold).
Oh nice!! Did you lose the ability to price match after that?
-
I am booked under early saver, and a casino offer just popped up for me. Can I price match to a casino fare? It's not one of those free/super reduced fares I see everyone else getting, but it would save me $100 or so 🙂

You could also consider switching your entire party to the any-time dining. You can still show up/check in at 6 oclock and your party can ask to be seated in the same section every night.

I tried searching but didn't come up with anything.
Since the restart, is Carnival still doing the platinum/diamond priority debarkation? Specifically, the self-assist, where you all meet up at a certain time in a certain place with all your luggage?
-
Rough seas and lots of rain and lots of wind pushing that rain in through the doors to the outside. Nothing they've not seen before. They'll set up giant fans to dry it out tonight and those getting on tomorrow probably won't even be able to tell.

carnival fun points
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
In my experience, when you redeem points as a statement credit, the credit shows up AFTER the billing cycle/on the next statement. So if you pay your cruise balance of $2000 today, and redeem your points tomorrow, your statement will show the $2000 charge for April as due, and then the May statement will have the credit. You don't have to carry a balance. I pay mine off each month too, and the statement credit just works as a negative balance for the next month.
