Do come back here and tell what happened when you turned up early.

    Will do.

Just noticed that the guest ticket booklet shows boarding time as 1300 but boarding pass says 2.30 -3.00.

  2. I’ve just noticed that our boarding passes for our cruise on 20/3 on the Pursuit app shows a boarding time of 2.30. We weren’t asked what time we wanted to board and our transfer from our hotel in Rio is arranged for 12 noon, so we will be arriving at the port around 12.40 so hopefully we can board early. I don’t remember boarding so late before and we have never been allocated a time so I hope they don’t keep us hanging around.

I tried, but it seems I I not eligible, our cruise is next wednesday:)

Me too, but it doesn’t explain why I am not eligible. As Phil says, there may be no cabins left but surely that should be explained.  Is it me that is not eligible 😪 or are there no cabins left 🧐

  4. When we were on Journey last February in Australia, we were offered 10% discount off future cruise excursions if we bought three or more trips. We enquired but they had no information on excursion for our next cruise, which is Rio to Lisbon in March. We left our contact details and last month, a really nice person from Miami emailed the full excursion list and we chose 4 excursions and we got 10% discount and used our OBC to pay for them. Very easy.

  5. You will enjoy the gentle cosmopolitan feel of Hvar. We visited it on Journey two years ago and loved it so much we returned the following year to spend a week on the island. We had a great holiday and would visit Hvar again anytime.

Thank you Molly.  I’m not overly bothered about oysters.  Just looking forward to wandering the lanes in Dubrovnik.

Tiggertom - Hvar is somewhere I have looked at for holidays for a while so looking forward to this

  6. Sorry, I cannot tell you about the weather in the South Pacific in January but I can tell you that Azamara’s biggest letdown is lack of indoor space and we noticed this last year when we had poor weather on a sea day going around Australia and there was nowhere to sit, all the public areas were full so we had to go to our cabin!

I hope you enjoy this cruise, we have always wanted to go to Hawaii and this is Azamara’s first visit but the timing wasn’t right for us so I hope they will go again.

  7. Thanks for your responses. It so good to hear from people that know Azamara and can give a real comparison and to get information on the best position for cabins, and  it is a long time since we had a great choice of entertainment in the evenings.

I wonder if you cou,d tell me what kind of menu Blu has, and what facilities are available for Aqua passengers at the Persian Gardens.

    Thank you

  8. We are frequent Azamara passengers who want to go to Hawaii. Azamara are visiting Hawaii for the first time in January next year but dates don’t suit us. Celebrity have a few trips to Hawaii so we are looking at some of the itineraries. My question is - can anyone who has been on both lines tell me what the differences are between the two cruises lines please? The size of the ships is the obvious difference and the reason whe have not tried Celebrity before. We are looking at an Aqua cabin on Solstice on 17/9/2020 but would appreciate any advise on the various cabins. We have loyalty points that makes us Elite on Celebrity, if that makes any difference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

  9. You pay more but get excellent service. That’s why we keeping sailing with Fred. We cruise with luxurious lines as well but Fred. offers excellent customer service and a traditional sailing experience. There are plenty of choices out there so you can choose what to spend your hard earned cash on. For many it’s the traditional  high class standards of Fred. Olsen.

  10. Balmoral Is far superior to Black Watch. The cabins are larger and there is more lounge space. The outside areas on Balmoral are nicer and there are better restaurants. This is my opinion of course but the worst cabins I had were on three separate occasions on Black Watch.

We are having the same concerns as we are due to fly to Japan to join Azamara Quest in early April. We have had an interview with our MP who tells us that we may/ will have problems if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. We are considering cancelling our cruise if the position is still uncertain when we are due to pay the full amount for the cruise as our insurance company will not cover any Brexit related losses.

Wow, has your insurance company actually told you that you are not covered for “any Brexit related losses”? Did they explain what they were?
