  1. Gah - I wasnt planning on waking up until 8, thats too early after a night of drinking! haha

They do take away right? I feel like I read that you can order at the register and take them to go. That could work out better

  2. I read the following on a website but cant find any other information about it.

“Pitt Stop” is a Friday afternoon tradition. Local barbecue masters set up on Bay Road in Basseterre and sell grilled fare from makeshift drums. Hop from stall to stall, gorging on barbecue chicken, ribs, and fish.

This sounds amazing if its still a thing. Has anyone experience this or know more about? What times are they usually out there grilling?!? And where on Bay Road? :D

  3. I have a travel agent handling my group booking. I've done a lot on my own since I like to be in control of my group but she has no problems dealing with my group members and bugging them. I haven't done a group booking through the cruise line directly, but maybe try to find a local TA and explain what you need. Some TAs may not take your group if they feel like its too much work lol Feel free to PM if you want my TAs info. Ive used quite a few and finally found a keeper!

  4. Here are pictures from two of my cabins. The "ahoy" one I used painters tape since I was guilted out if using scotch tape because of residue - the door didn't even make it through the first night :/ oh well! The steward sure knew who we were lol. I've seen some creative ones. I took a picture of the saloon door someone else did on my last cruise, how fun! The two I decorated were cruises out of TX. Its easy when you drive to port. I dont know that I'll do it on my next cruise out of San Juan, that's valuable luggage space! Lol

  5. Gourmet Gallery is close to the ships and has snacks and beer. Much better selection than KMart though prices might be higher. KMart brand chips are good value. Gourmet Gallery makes good sandwiches at fair price.

    Even better! Thank you!

  6. I think we are on the same Roll Call and I mentioned we are doing the same tour.

I have a girlfriend going on the Valor March 1st and she is doing the same tour. I am using her as my Guinnea Pig and really trust her to tell me how the tour is. I can let you know as soon as she gets back the good, the bad and the ugly! :)

Ah yes! that would be fantastic! Thanks!

  7. For weeks I have been looking at this and I can't decide what is best. My friends say it doesn't matter and any option will be good. Well great, thanks for the help lol Its driving me crazy that one doesn't seem to stand out in order to make a decision. Maybe y'all can help? Really I would like good sand, good water (snorkeling isn't necessary) and good food and drinks. We don't require a lot of facilities; usually lay our towels on the ground. Here's what I'm looking at:

Frigate Bay - Mr X's Shiggidy shack

    South Friars - Ship wreck

    Cockleshell - Reggae bar/Lions rock

If anyone can provide some points for or against any of the above, I'd appreciate it!

  8. I’m currently deciding between Magen’s Bay and Sapphire Beach. Ive read that neither have many options for food/drinks. Does anyone know if you are allowed to bring in a cooler of drinks/snacks with you? We brought a cooler of beer to Great Stirrup Cay in Grand Cayman and it worked out great. I haven’t read anything on the policy of these beaches about this. Let me know what you’ve seen/heard! Thanks!
