  1. I have 14 people in my group, so Cosol agreed that we would have our own private van/tour and we could customize it as we like. I asked for a run down of their itinerary and I didnt really get much back. I read that the biggest complaint is you dont get enough time at the beach (45 mins?) so I want to cut some stuff out to give us more time. The information I was given says they stop every 10 minutes for a photo break. I dont really think thats necessary, but Im not really sure whats worth it and whats not. I was thinking of cutting the botanical gardens as well? For those who have done Cosol's tours, what stop(s) would you cut out?

    Thank you!

  2. Just came back from Nachi for the first time, and did Mr Sanchos a year and a half ago. Both times we were the only ship in port. At Nachi there were literally only 5 other people there so it was very exclusive lol. That being said, we had great service! The food was good, the drinks were good. We had good converstation and the the bar tender was making us shots and drinks. It was nice and quiet. We needed that relaxing day. I did really like the private palapa's that we got by the beach. I dont recall Sanchos having that. I do like Sanchos' facilities better - they had the swing bar, a better pool bar, cabana beds... I feel like Sanchos is a bit more well known, there were more people there but not overwhelmingly so. The service was great - the drinks were delicious! Its because of those drinks I cant tell you about the food because I dont remember! I think Nachi had better chairs and loungers too. If your looking for a more relaxing time, Nachi might be best for you. I still like Sanchos better though, its a good time :)

  3. Im reasearching this as well... I dont know how much the cost is through the ship, but ive seen several sites that wont book with Carnival passengers- whats up with that?!? Let me know if you find any... I'll keep searching...

  4. QLS is the same cost as SAS but we find them much better and the communication when you are disembarking is much better than SAS. QLS has a dispatcher to make reservations and to talk to if you need to . SAS you got to book on line and if you call them its a guy driving who says I cant talk because im driving, very rude that's why I will never use them.

Thanks for this! I was booked with SAS but now I'll look into QLS! :)

  5. With other cruise lines we're sent luggage tags for our bags to go to our room - how does that work with MSC? I guess since I have a GTY room I probably wont get mine until room assignment? Do they email them to you though?

  6. When are you cruising, we have that cabin on sept. 27th

Sharon - why arent you in our roll call? Is it too boring for you? Lol

There is a 3-day balcony sale on right now but I don't know if your sail date is included. I recommend you keep an eye on the website for a sale or call and see what it would cost you to upgrade to a gty balcony. It might be cheaper than you think.

Trish, I did end up calling MSC about the sale, but its for new bookings only :( I'll be keeping an eye out though! Wish I would have waited, could have had a balcony for only $60pp more! wa wa waaa - They said to upgrade would have been triple our current rate, no thanks!

  7. Agreed Oreosmile!

Im used to staying in hostels so Im pretty sure any cabin will be a tier higher lol

Im just thinking back and my TA never gave me an option. First she said there were no interiors available so we booked an oceanview. Then weeks later I was poking around and got a quote for an interior. She switched us over and we got the lower price that we originally wanted but it was GTY and she never said anything. I didnt really notice until later on. Wa wa waaa - im hoping for an upgrade now! lol

  8. If you have a GTY cabin and don't like location when is is assigned, and you call MSC, will they let you switch to another cabin in same category?

I like the cabins most people don't- furthest from elevator.

I called MSC asking the same thing - it just depends when they assign you a room. Per MSC they dont know when they give out cabin assignments... it could be a few weeks before hand or you may not know until you check in at the port. If you get an assignment prior to check in then you can call and see if they can move you around. They told me to call back once Im within the 30days prior to sail and check with them again. Not sure what would happen if you get handed your room at port and dont like it. Providing the ship isnt sold out I would think it might be like a hotel and they may be able to move you? or you might be out of luck! c'est la vie!

  9. Ive slept in quad rooms before which didnt bother me because we had four people.

Im more concerned about the "upper/lower" double beds - not sure my boyfriend would be too happy about that lol.

Although Ive been trying to looks up interior cabins for the msc divina and I dont think they have a layout like that, which would be a relief!

  10. We had an gty inside booked but took advantage of the 4th of July sale to upgrade. For about $200 total we upgraded to a gty balcony and was assigned 10218, one of the largest balconies on the Divina. I figured if I got on board and was stuck in a lousy inside (not ALL insides are lousy, mind you!) I would be kicking myself for not spending the $200 more to get a balcony.

Hoping you have a fantastic cruise no matter where you lay your head at night! :)

    Trish

Well thats smart! I didnt think you could take advantage of sales after you booked - Thanks for the tips!

I really wouldnt mind a regular interior cabin, but just my luck id get those bunk beds lol. My TA didnt give us an option when we booked, so I'll see what I can do :)

  11. Ive read that the Entertainment on ship is top notch. I usually dont go to any of the shows an my previous trips, but Id like to check it out this time around. For those of you who have gone, whats youre take on the shows offered? What would you see again? what was disappointing? If you could only catch one show, which would it be?

  12. I've read that a lot of people get upset when they learn after the fact that they couldve used their drink coupons on the private island. I had asked my TA if we would be able to use our all inclusive on GSC and she said no. So can you only use coupons or pay for drinks? Can anyone else confirm if you can use the allegrisimo on the island?
