  1. The hair salon on the Regal uses and sells a Sebastian hair spray. It has good hold and shine. Would like to buy some but Sebastian has several hair spray products. Does anyone know the name of the hair spray?

    Thanks!

  2. I totally agree with Florence Italy we were on the same 11 day holiday cruise in December. It was my 3rd time on the Regal and it is a fabulous ship. I will be on the Silhouette on 4/15. This will be my fourth cruise on Celebrity, twice on the Eclipse and once on the Solstice. All great cruises. I've been on the Freedom and NCL Get Away no comparison to Celebrity or the Regal. All the reviews I've read about the Silhouette have been excellent. The Edge sounds pretty amazing. I was lucky to get a great rate on the Silhouette maybe you could too and book the Edge for later. Let us know what you decide.

  3. Paul, please excuse threadjack!

    Linda,

Happy New Year! Congratulations on your recent booking. That is a good deal!! We are still in Florida, have been gone from home since December 16. We leave end of the month. Otherwise, we might have joined you. Next up for us is the Pacific Coastal in May on the Infinity. I have been wanting to sail the itinerary and we found a deal a few weeks back(inside cabin). Sorry we didn't meet on the Regal. We had such a great cruise and loved the ship!

Thanks Paul for your great report!

  4. Thank you for taking us along on your birthday cruise. I hope it was a memorable birthday for you. Happy Belated Birthday. I look forward to your final thoughts.

    Hi Florence,

Happy New Year! Hope you're doing really well and planning your next cruise. I just booked the Silhouette for April 16. Totally unexpected, & spur of the moment -just couldn't pass up the price! First time on the Silhouette. I've been on the Solstice and the Eclipse twice. Getting excited!

I am so sorry we did not meet on the Regal. We were probably sitting near each other & didn't even realize it. I always looked for you around the adult pool

as I walked to the Sanctuary. Remembered your CC photo. We'll just have to book another cruise together!

  6. Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It's been a number of years since we have cruised on Carnival. I'm sure we've taken 15 Carnival cruises before moving to Princess & Celebrity. But the Havana area on the Vista has peaked my interest and we may just have to book a cruise on the Vista. Can you suggest an interior cabin and a balcony cabin that we should try to book? I liked the fact you could access the Havana pool deck directly from your balcony. How do you access it from an Interior cabin? I would want to have cabins on the Havana deck. No stairs if possible. Looking forward to hearing your recommendation. In between I will look at a deck plan. Welcome home!

  7. John (Croptop), you mentioned that a 100 passengers staying on for the second week with you left the ship to do stuff. Since these folks didn't sit in the Princess Theater with you to be cleared with customs, did they have to go through the regular procedure of checking in with the new passengers arriving? This back to back thing will be new for us and we were thinking about walking off the ship once we arrive back to Ft. Lauderdale.

Glad to see you met some nice folks in the dinning room, did you mention to them that you were doing a live thread on cruise critic? Hope the weather is nice for you at Princess Cays.

    Cheers - Ken & Darlene

When we were on the Regal B2B,

they continued to page passengers to the theatre. They did a good job rounding everyone up. No B2B passenger leave the ship before it is completed. It was a very quick process. We lined up by rows as they started with the front row and checked our documents before we exited. We were in and out in 30 minutes. You can then go directly to the gang way and leave the ship. Princess had this down to a science. Looking forward to your review!

  8. I slept in a little bit today, until about 9, since we were not due in port until 1. When I got up, Chris and I headed to the MDR for breakfast. I ordered my usual, the eggs benedict (great), pork sausage (good) and hashbrowns (they were crispy and JUST PERFECT!).

I headed to the gym after breakfast to do my workout, and it was BUSY today! I think everyone had the same idea, to work out this morning before we got into port. I found myself an elliptical and did my thing, the headed to the room to shower, change into clothes for our day in port, and pack our beach bag.

We decided to go ahead and have lunch before we docked, so at about 12 we ordered room service. Our excursion included a meal, but I had a feeling it would be later in the afternoon. I ordered a BLT (which was excellent) and a Caesar salad (which was REALLY fishy).

Vista docked at 1, and we were off the ship about 1:30. Our excursion was a day at Vivo Beach Club, which I had booked thru Carnival. We had a short bus ride to the club, and when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The facilities were very clean and nice, and we were greeted with a free cup of their beer that the brew there at the club.

I told y'all that I am not a big beer fan, but I really liked this one! I forget what kind she said it was.

There was a red flag for the ocean (dangerous conditions) so Chris and I decided to set up camp by the pool. It was disappointing to not swim in the ocean, but the pool was pretty nice.

Enjoying your review & writing very much. Question what Port is your excursion? The beach & pool looks great.

  9. Hi Linda,

Yes, I do love the Regal. I would sail on the Regal or Royal anytime. We enjoyed our Eclipse cruise, but, the Regal cruise was special. With that said, unless it is a b2b, booking 2 cruises so close together is something I won't do again. I know, I know, such problems, LOL. While on the Eclipse, we did book a 7 day cruise on the Equinox for March 2018. It is the drink package that lures us back to Celebrity, lol.

    Marie

I wondered how that worked out for you. I've been looking at the Celebrity sale too with the drink package plus the $300 OBC per cabin. can't beat that. Wanted to try the Reflection or Equinox. The Regal & Reflection both made CC's top 15 list. I'll let you know what I book.

  10. Enjoying your review. We sailed on the Regal Princess, Dec. 18-29, what a fabulous cruise. We sailed on the Celebrity Eclipse Jan 2-8, and it was great, but, I still keep reminiscing about our Regal cruise. What a fabulous ship. Wishing you a wonderful cruise.

    Hi Marie,

I have to agree with your praise for our Regal cruise. This was my third tine on the Regal and other than a few MDR menu changes and miss steps, the Regal continued to exceed my expectations. While I enjoyed my 2 Eclipse cruises very much, the Regal is still #1. You & Elaine had the right idea extending your 11 days at sea. Hope we are all

    cruising again soon!

    Linda

  11. Good morning everybody . We checked in to the Lago Mar yesterday and were surprised to find out that we have an ocean view . It's was very breezy and cloudy and it's a 5 minute walk down the beach to see the ships in the inlet . We had a nice dinner at Acquario and fell asleep watching the Big 10 football game . I'm scanning the horizon for the ships and ready to take some photos . Time for some coffee .

Good morning! Love ❤️ the Lago

Mar. The parade of ships should start about 5am. They look so good coming into port all lit up. Hope you get some good shots.

Speaking of Big 10 how about Penn State? I'm a Buckeye so I'm not real excited. What time are you going to the Port? Plan to watch the sail away today. Are you going to be on your balcony?

    It won't be long now!

  12. Met back up with Husband who had found yet another watch he had fallen in love with. I could fall in love with this one a lot more than the other, as it was $200 :D compared with the $1800 one he had tried on a few days before.

Husband decided to think about it some more, which turned out to be a good move, as he found it online for $40 left after we got home (not that he bought it for that yet either, but Christmas is coming;))

As we wandered on we found another deck area to hang out in that we hadn't seen before:
