Cool Cruiser (2/20)

  1. This thread is a good reminder to take some our stash of Charmin To-Go travel rolls with us on our Med cruise next summer. We bought a case 12 years ago that's turning out to be a lifetime supply (literally!) even though they are a standard part of our travel kit. Fortunately I don't think we'll have to learn the Japanese squat toilet for this trip - I can't imagine trying to teach that one to my 11-year-old!
  2. We were reasonably successful keeping track of our boys with their Medallions on the Sky Princess. Tracking was a bit spotty on the Lido deck due to the lack of walls and ceilings, which actually threw off mobile food orders up there sometimes - half the time our order ended up in our cabin because I guess they couldn't find us. 🤔
  3. I've never had anybody check if I had my CPAP for my distilled water - it's normally waiting for me when I get to the cabin, so there isn't anything for them to check in the first place. You shouldn't have any issues unless you ask for several gallons. Note that I rarely get any confirmation of my request, so don't get overly concerned if you don't hear back from Princess.
  4. I am unable to book specialty dining on the app or the web IF I try to use my Princess Premier dining credits - it throws an error every time. I know this because one time the app forgot I had a credit and I was able to reserve a table (which I promptly canceled to avoid being charged). If a phone call can't fix it then I risk not being able to even use my credits. Good times.
  5. In the before times 2-3 weeks out was when we started getting phone calls with upgrade offers, which I assumed was when they were doing the final cabin shuffles, so It tracks that they would be locking bookings for a bit. I expect that you'll see things open back up at a week or two from sailing with last-minute inside cabin deals on whatever they're left with after upgrades, sidegrades, and upgrades that some may consider to be downgrades. 😕
  6. I agree, the deals all seem to be the same in the end, unless you're in a position to be able to take advantage of last minute "drop everything and go" deals. We just booked Alaska at over 500 days out to get a cabin we liked, which is by far the farthest out we've ever booked. I figure prices will likely go up before they go down, so we might as well get that dream cabin while we can.
  7. That looks like the exclusive "I'm prone to motion sickness and ended up with a fore cabin on the top deck" Captain's Circle level.
