  1. No, we have booked a specific balcony cabin.
  2. Have booked our first Holland America cruise and noticed in our balcony booking it states "accept any upgrade". While we would love an upgrade we do not want to be in the extreme bow or stern of the ship. If an upgrade is assigned, do we have any recourse if the location does not suit us? Or do we just have the upgrade request canceled should we not want to take the risk?

  7. We just walked from the bus station to the beach. It was actually one of the best beach days we had. Paid $10 or so for chairs and umbrella then ordered a bucket of beer. I will say that there were people trying to sell items or wanting to play songs for us on the beach. We just politely said no thanks and they moved on.

  17. Our local Costco sells the patches as do drugstores. I will tell you that my husband has awful motion sickness and has never been seasick on 12 cruises, including some roughish ones. We still bring the meds with us just in case.
  18. We were on Meraviglia last month in Aurea. Can't answer questions about booking spa or specialty dining though. Our service was great, we had no issues at all with the easy plus package. Disembarkation allowed walk offs, two large groups and then Aurea. We opted to walk off to get off the ship earlier.
  19. Edited to add... our flight is at noon so we are pushing it for time. On other lines the cruise line organized shuttle people were first off the ship, thus my inquiry.
