After dinner, we found seats in the theater for 18+ Family Feud. No photos or video allowed It was so funny. Not only are the live contestants funny but they play a ton of clips of the hilarious answers on real Family Feud over the years. -

Instead, we did a close range sail by blaring YMCA. This sweet lady was dancing up a storm. They dropped us off right be the ship. There was a smedium line to get back on the Venezia. I would rate this excursion 5 out of 5. The crew was very accommodating and helpful plus a ton of fun. -

The crew brought rum swizzles around on a paddle board. Back on the boat were more swizzles and warm cookies. -

Stairs to the beach. There is a rule that Bermuda beaches are public spaces to the high tide mark. Some treasure? Some coral near the shore -

We had 2.5 hours to enjoy the water. They had snorkel equipment, kayaks, paddle boards, and noodles. Most importantly, free rum swizzles. -

The water is very blue. We motored for about 30 minutes until we came to this cove. There were a few other boats there already but they left after a bit. Captain said Labor Day weekend is a busy time. -

We booked Snorkel for a Cure with Restless Native. A portion of the ticket cost was donated to breast cancer research. I don’t know how much and they did not say. Here is our catamaran. One of our guides giving a Bermuda history lesson. (But we already know our Bermuda history, right?) DH and I ready to enjoy the water.- 396 replies

A complimentary tram is available right outside the ship. Here is the line. And here is the route. It looks like it will take you all the way to the Clocktower building. The public bus stop is at the Clocktower. -

We decided to head out for three reasons: 1. It is unusual for gear places to let you take photos so I was not sure how long our good fortune would last. 2. It started to sink in that these cute animals were not free but in captivity although they were rated as a humane facility. I got you @Hogladyrider 3. We had an excursion at 1:30 and needed to eat lunch and get in our suits. -

Yes! So glad you found me. The ship is something else and Bermuda is being a wonderful hostess so far. I would love to be on next week or really anytime in the next few months to see what Lee Mason does as CD. I am looking forward to @Jamman54’s review to fill me in. -

Next. Dolphins! I did not know this but the Dolphin Encounter is in the same complex and you can watch them with your Museum ticket. We were checking out the playground and found them. Getting an exam. Maybe an ultrasound? -

The Exhibition Hall presents the history of Bermuda through shipwreck artifacts. Turns out that Bermuda has a large number of shipwrecks due to its topography of reefs. It is an interesting walk through the history with items brought up from the wrecks. Most of the wrecks have been salvaged. The first settlers stared the process and then a wreck diving craze in the 1960s and 70s finished off the deeper ones. Basically the history is Spanish and Portuguese sailors thought the island was cursed because the native birds made scary sounds. So they stayed away but released wild boars to the island for an emergency food supply. They were also super focused on finding gold and silver in the New World. A British ship headed for the Jamestown colony wrecked on the island. Everyone survived and they built two smaller ships from the wreckage. They had lots to eat and were able to make it to Jamestown. They also sent word back to England that this was a cool island with an abundant food supply. Most importantly it was unclaimed. The End.
