Thanks for the input. We have always traveled in CS and above and in March we will be traveling in AQ for the first time as a Zenith. I wasn't expecting the escort. As you said the escorts we have had are from all over the ship. We have had Sommeliers, Future Cruise Managers and Guest Relations staff.
Dont care who it is, its a nice gesture! Will they make themselves known to us at check-in?

As Jim said there is an escort for CS and above and Zenith level loyalty passengers. This may depend on the port and staff availability. Last time DW and I were escorted by the Shop Manager. Usually someone in Captain's Club or Guest Relations. If you are in a Suite and not escorted you can go directly to Michael's Club.
Many thanks for your help xx

Thanks Jim_Iain,
We are in CS, so I presume. from what you say, someone will meet us in check-in? Is this correct? Will the staff member make himself known to us?
Very excited now as although we have cruised for many years, we have never had a suite. This is for our 40th wedding anniversary.
Thank you xx

Does anyone know if the concierge still meets suite guests at check-in.
This is our first suite and we are looking for all the info we can get on the benefits and downfalls of a suite.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, we are taking our 18 year old grandson on a cruise out of UK where alcohol is permitted at 18 years old. I am told by Celebrity that a parent may authorise an 18 year old with alcohol, but they are not sure if that also applies to a grandparent, acting as guardian. Anyone any ideas which is correct?

Hi, Does anyone know how long it takes to tender off all the passengers in a port? We arre on Celebrity Silhoouette, I want to book an excursion and wonder if 1.5 hours would be sufficient time to allow to be sure we would get off in time. Any help much appreciated.

Hi, does anyone know of a taxi firm in Flaam that would transport us to the Church. It is just too far for us elderly cruisers to walk both ways. We have tried to land train but they wont allow us to do either one way nor make a stop at the Church as part of the trip Any help appreciated.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I called Celebrity who advised that I should ask for the wine if it was not already in the room. The occasion is my husband's 75th birthday, which they can verify from his passport if necessary. But Celebrity told me it is an amenity in Aqua regardless of occasion.

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a bottle of wine in the room on embarkation. As we are travelling to celebrate a special birthday, we are hoping there might be. Many thanks for any replies

Hi Cruisers, Have any UK residents ever used US travel agents for booking cruises? We are thinking of doing Bahamas and Bermuda from New York, but are struggling to find a UK cruise specialist who can help. I would welcome any advice about the pros and cons. Happy cruising!
