  1. Just wanted to circle back with you. We are on the ship now. I am a very light sleeper and I am usually awake early and I have not heard anything. The room is fabulous. We have been enjoying waking up and just watching the ocean. The balcony has been fine for us. There are 2 loungers, 2 chairs and the best part is the hot tub.

We are on until Sunday if you have any questions.

  2. We love the Royal suite on Enchantment. Yes the concierge will walk you in to the ship and let you in the room early. We have gotten champagne and fruit and snacks. We are D+ and with over 60 cruises have never gotten invited to the Captains table so cannot help you there.

We love the room. I think that room has the best AC of all the ships and that might be because it is right across from the captains quarters. Also you can make the shower like a steam room.

  3. Irishgal432.. why did you switch to 1718? My mom is concerned that 1720 only overlooks the aft (versus water) while others say 1720 has the larger main living space. Look forward to anyone's take ..

    Thanks!

Dh and I love 1720. You get both an ocean view and be able to watch the happenings on the back. We have had that room 3 times

  4. You will not be out of place at all.

We will be doing our third Hop in less than two weeks. We are both in our 40s and have been on the Hop with those ranging from their 20s to their 70s.

It's called a bar hop, because you do stop at four bars, but it is not "frat house, keg stand, dancing on the bar" type places. You get a free specialty shot at each stop. Any additional drinks and food is on you. Prices are reasonable.

    Dan.

I also vote for Cozumel Bar Hop. We are 50 and 60 and have hopped 10 times. They are a great group of people.

  5. We just has Joyce last week on Oasis. We specially requested her as we had her on Anthem in May. She is wonderful. She will have you whatever you need.

Last week on Oasis it was Joyce, Israel and Smitha. We Israel on a previous cruise and he was excellent but to us Joyce was a bit better.

  6. Thanks Dave97402 and Cigar King for the advice!! We are cruising with friends (14 of us so far) to Havana in October and buying some Cuban cigars was on our wish list! Anyone know what restrictions are on how many one person is allowed to bring back to the U.S.? Of course, we probably couldn't afford the limit anyway!!:o DH and I don't smoke but some of our friends do and we'd like to get them for gifts. Thanks again!

We just did a Cuba cruise in August. The limit is 100 per person. Make sure you don't buy any off the street. Therebwas a really good shop that our driver took us to at the fort.

  7. We are booked in a 2 bedroom aqua theatre suite and my son is trying to get me to switch to the one with the slide. Oh and he is 28 and 6'6" but he claims it will be for my grandson who will be born in March.

We loved Cleon. As far as Reyno, we have not had him as a genie but did had a couple of issues with him as a concierge so I specifically requested not to have him.

    Enjoy the Harmony.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your family.

  8. We enjoy the Star Class service and our headed out on our 4th trip on Oasis next month and have actually requested Joyce as we had her on Anthem in May and loved her.

We are also usually very low maintenance so on our first Star Class cruise we did not ask for much and that is what we got. We were on Oasis and had Israel. The second was on Harmony with Cleon and we had 8 people in the Royal family suite. We all made a lot of requests and was never told no. The third was with Joyce and she was there when we needed her. She would check in daily and find out what else we may need. She had all of our reservations made for us and changed them when needed.

So I have found that yes we fill out a questionnaire they usually have 3-4 cabins which can be 2-8 people a cabin so just little reminders help. If I need snacks or drinks I make it known. I think they want to be there to help and not be intrusive.

  9. With Star Class you get a genie who will meet you and take you directly to your room. Star Class rooms are ready before all other rooms. You will drop your luggage at the star class area and a porter will take it directly to the ship and your luggage might even beat you to the room. The luggage is not handled the same as other luggage.

  10. I just spent the morning past 2 days in Key West helping with hurricane recovery. There is a lot of storm damage still as well as debris from the storm surge. Our church along with Samaritan’s Purse will be spending at least the next 3 weeks helping Key West and the lower Keys recover.

Please if you go to Key West in the next few weeks be prepared for things not to be 100%.
