  1. We just got off the Harmony and my daughter in laws mother has a peanut allergy. We told them at the beginning and every place we ate. We never ate in the dining room. At each place if it was something that they made they would let her know it was safe. If it was something that included stuff that was made else where they would let her know that such and such item was pre made and they could not guarantee it. I felt that they we very knowledgeable.

  2. I have read that Hibachi can be harder to get into. We have prebooked it to get it, and will take the OBC when we are on the ship.

We didn't get our survey until 3 weeks before our sail date.

We changed our hibachi reservations 3 times because of shows. The night that we finally went we couldn't get in until 9:30 which is really late for us to eat but Cleon sent appetizers to our room and set us up to do the puzzle room right before dinner so it worked out great.

  3. Would be interested in any comment/observations you have on the Presidential Family Suite itself. Any comment/recommendations on having 8 people in the PFS. Assume you had 2 people in each of the four bedrooms (two master suites and two different interiors). Anything you would do different the next time?

The one sensitive question on the boards is how much to tip your Genie. Realize this is based on his/her service and your feelings regarding tipping. Any general thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

We absolutely loved the PFS. We had 4 couples so 8 adults. I think the biggest think that you will have to decide is who gets the inside room with the bathroom across the hall. My dads and ddil took that room and no one else used their bathroom.

We really enjoyed that everyone had their private space but had a common room to get together. It is really quite in the bedrooms even when people were hanging out in the living room area.

As far as tipping the genie. When dh and I went on Oasis and had a genie we tipped $300 as he did make and change reservations for us and was available when we needed him. This time we did utilize Cleon a lot. It was my 50th and he helped decorate the room for me. On Labadee we booked 2 over the water cabanas and he went out on his own and decorated them before he escorted us there. All of our request were answered with no problem. So we did end up tipping him $1,000 between the 8 of us.

  4. We are back from our fabulous week on Harmony of the Seas. We had booked the Presidential Family Suite to celebrate my 50th birthday.

We had Cleon Fraser as our Genie. Our initial pre cruise contact with him was a little lacking in my opinion because but he did indicate he was working on our request. We did ask for 2 over the water cabanas in Labadee and told him we wanted to do the shows as well as all specialty restaurants. He asked what kind of sodas, water and beer we wanted in our mini fridges.

We arrived to the port at 11:15 and he came down and met us and walked us on. He escorted us to our room and were unpacked by noon.

He had scheduled all of our dining for us and made chat when we needed to. We had dinner for 12 on our balcony on my birthday which he took care of for us.

Cleon had 2 other suites he was taking care of but we felt like we were the only one he had. We had 8 adults that wanted different things at different times and He never told us no and had a few surprises for us.

It was different from our genie experience on Oasis but both were fabulous.

  5. Harmony update: Raj will leave for vacation on January 14, 2017 and returns on March 4.

Checker who is in the DL goes on vacation on March 4 when Raj returns. It is unclear as to whether Checker moves to the CL or stays in the DL or who will cover the CL while Raj is on vacation. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hKBiGZ9Gqcp2G2owtX3RyQy7yQ0ijgxCL0nPjQKK8j4/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Oh that is a bummer. We get on Harmony on the 14th and we were hoping to see Raj. Oh well will just have to book another one to see him.

Also we have been assigned Cleon Fraser as our genie

  6. Alex, our Genie on Harmony, has been fantastic. She's easily my favorite Genie I've had (four so far), in terms of the quality of service and her availability.

When did you first hear from her. We sail in 11 days. If I remember correctly I might hear from them tomorrow. My biggest need right now is 2 cabanas side by side in Labadee

  7. Looking forward to your review on Harmony Genie service. We are on her in May (room 1722).

I do have one question I was looking at the review linked on the previous page and it showed the available liquor list. It is stated on there premium selections at reduced costs. I was under the impression that the Star class came with the top drink package, is that not the case?

I will let you know. We were star class in August on Oasis and never had an issue and got any thing we asked for. Star class is the only package that includes Starbucks as well.

  8. So someone can just write in they're Pinnacles and the ship's staff handling the luggage will believe that instead of what's actually on printed on the tag. :p

I have a funny story about that. Dh and I were in the suite/pinnacle line for check in because we were in a GS. The couple before us went through the line showing their passports and the leather pinnacle luggage tags they had on there bags. When someone would ask for their set sail pass ( which was in there hand) they said that they did not have it but kept showing the pinnacle tags. When they got to the checkin counter they were told they had to go to the gold line because they were not suite or pinnacle.

  9. On a side note, I have NEVER been in a cabin where the announcement switch worked. It's a pain to have to open the door to hear announcements in case it's important (and it's usually NOT important).

Are there really cabins where that switch works?

If it is important they will make the announcements in the room. Have been on ships when teenagers have gone missing in the middle of the night and they turn on the room announcements to find them.

  10. OMG! This is the worst we have been treated all week. I demand that we get to stay on board next week. [emoji23][emoji122]

For those sailing next week be prepared, they're not as nice as you think they are.

I think you should demand some sort of compensation for them being so rude and kicking you off
