I'm not trying to be a jerk, though I'm sure my comment will come across like that. Six cabins/two other cabins (club balconies aren't exactly suites, despite the name) is nothing to NCL. They're not going to give you anything extra, above what is provided for in the group discounts and amenities.

Have you reached out to the Groups Department? I doubt they'll be any more helpful than those you've already talked with, but you might as well try. Good luck and be sure not to expect anything as it's highly unlikely you'll get anything for cabins not eligible for a group rate. Here's the group cruise phone number: 855.625.4768

    What cabins aren’t eligible?

Update on our June 2025 group booking......the group was approved and we saved $697.70 off our already booked cabin plus an additional $100 OBC (per cabin).   Since we are paying for three of the cabins, I am very happy with the discount.   This does not include the additional kickback after final payment.

In the process of booking 5 cabins for Feb 25, would you be willing to share the contact info of the person you work with in NCL groups? You should be able to PM me.

  3. Booked the Arctic Circle and Norwegian Fjords cruise on the Jewel of the Seas next June. Really excited about the itinerary and am finding lots of ideas on the port forums. Although I am long time Royal cruiser and have cruised this class several times, I have not been on recently. Would love to hear more about what to do on cruise days and evenings from those who have been on more recently, e.g., don’t miss things to do, favorite areas of the ship, speciality dining tips, other hacks or tips. Thanks in advance!

Which Honeymoon Beach? Water Island or St John?

Neither Honeymoon has restaurantS. Water Island has Dinghy's and St John no longer has a restaurant.

Didn’t realize there are two. I am asking about Honeymoon Beach on Water Island—am I mixing up places? I see older posts about things being closed.

  5. My 39 year old son recently received a postcard from Royal Caribbean advising him of his points even though his only cruises were with us (his parents) before he was 18. I was surprised both that they found him (he’s lived several places since then) and at the number of points. It actually got us talking about doing a family cruise during the double points time. However, when I tried to get my daughter’s number (she’s four years younger) they couldn’t find any record of her! I called C&A and they did search a number of ways. Records are sketchy that far back and they could see there were four of us on our first cruise (1995) but the names of the kids weren’t listed. I’m planning to keep trying, I do have photos of the family with the Captain and possibility some other memorabilia that could “prove” she cruised, but before I do that I was trying to find the specific policy regarding children and status beginning with our first cruise in 1995. We are Diamond and have cruised fairly often, but the kids weren’t always with us. I have searched both the Royal Caribbean and Cruise Critic web sites. Any help appreciated.

  6. First time on Oasis class ship and confused about dining. Hard to find information on restaurants on Royal Caribbean site. Finally found on this board a concise list of which restaurants are complimentary and which have a fee. Thank you! So now considering a 3 night dining package, but confused about some of the details.  Specifically, what restaurants are al la carte and in what restaurants does the dining package cover the full fee?

For restaurants with a la carte pricing, package includes a $35 credit towards the food portion of your bill, with the exception of Port Side BBQ and Playmakers which will be $20.*

    Thanks!

They might not know who exactly did this, but they will definitely watch more.

Anyway... it is not completely "legal". Let's not get this wonderful benefit taken away by abusing it.

Tatka, you are exactly right. It would not be the first time, benefits were taken away because of abuse and bragging about it here. We really enjoy the free drinks and would hate to see it end.

  8. Just off the Brilliance. Found a white and yellow gold ring in the Schooner Bar. Very pretty, but didn't look to be super valuable. Took it to Guest Services and they wrapped it and said they would send it to Lost & Found. Said they sometimes mail after the cruise if asked. I did wonder where it would end up?!!

On a side note, I left my best bathing suit hanging behind the door in my cabin. No hope for that I guess! :classic_unsure:

  9. I also have a few questions about MTD and a large group (12). I did link the reservations and I also made a reservation for every evening and added 8 of the group to our 2, but it wouldn't let me add the last couple. Trying to decide if I should just wait until I am onboard and make sure they are part of the dining group since they are linked. Or try to contact Royal dining in advance. If I go the second route, does anyone know the best way to do this?

We don’t head to Tampa until Thursday but I was there by chance over New Years.  It was a nice space and right next door to the port.  These are photos of just a couple of the food venues.

Thank you -- this is great information!

  11. We will be in Lima for a day before we start our tour and really appreciate these suggestions!

Another question for those who have been there before. We have a flight from the US that gets to Lima in the early morning hours. Our hotel is in Miraflores. We are looking for the best way (safe, economical) to get there at 2 or 3 am. Thanks for any help!

  12. I asked this question when I first booked and a very lovely person shared some photos of their recent trip. I was surprising my daughter with this cruise for her birthday and I was able to give these photos as a gift
