I even happened to be in a spot where there was no lifeboat above so I had sun and everything.
Sandy at Sea, would you mind sharing your cabin number? I was interested in these until I saw a picture with the lifeboats overhead. Would be great if there are some without. Thanks!

We book last minute for every cruise. We save a bunch by doing this. If your schedule is flexible, this is the way to go imo.
Curious as to how last minute? When are the best deals--right after final payment or a week or two before sailing?

Are the cabanas on Nellie's Beach or Barefoot Beach? Am I right that Nellie's is open and Barefoot is suite guests/cabanas only?
Never mind--I was reading the post backwards and see my questions were answered earlier!

So for anyone that is wondering, no you cant reserve any specific one on the ship, they may be assigned beforehand or at the time you get there. Who knows, the best bet is to be polite, ask the concierge when you get to Barefoot beach and hopefully you get the one you want. The numbering system is way different than what I thought it would be so here is the numbering of the cabanas on Nellie's Beach. This is from our cabana attendent.
#1 is the one I didn't want but would be good for families with very young kids.
Again we had #7 and #8
Another perspective with #1 and #2 showing placement
From the water #7
From the water #5 and #6 which I think would be the 2 best cabanas but there is a ladder that goes to the water so may not be ideal for some. 7 and 8 the steps actually go into the water.

Anyone know if they have them on the Independence?

You don't have a low enough choice. I would pay $9-$12 plus the cost of the liquor to take it back to my room.
Liberty of the Seas or Glory
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I am a long time Royal Cruiser and have been pricing the Liberty with the Cozumel and Belize itinerary for a winter cruise. My sister keeps telling me I should give Carnival a try. So I checked it out and I can get a Glory 7 day (similar itinerary) for just about the same price as the Liberty 5 day. Anyone sail both? What do you think? I do have Diamond, but not sure the perks would offset a couple of extra days--and a stop at Roatan, Honduras!
