  1. Just used Park n Go for Jan 18 Liberty cruise. I was really impressed with their efficiency, friendliness, and value. They are very close to Berth 25 (Port Everglades).

You have to book in advance online in order to get the discount. $7.99/day with discount and $11.99 without. AAA was $10.50, I think with no advance reservation.

Jmho, but it looked like a bit of a walk to the terminal parking garage. Wouldn't be a problem except for all our luggage. LOL

Park n Go picked us up in less than 5 minutes!

  2. Ok I get it! We really aren't totally naive, but I was just hoping since we were in vacationland, the car park might have some accommodation for bikes. Thanks for your suggestions. I will check with hotel or take them apart.

  3. Going out on a short cruise from FLL while spending a couple weeks in Florida. We plan to park at Park n Go, but have our bikes on a carrier. Anyone done this? Is it safe? Will they even let us leave them?

  4. I highly recommend making reservations. You have a 2 hour window in which to arrive. The wait for people without reservations was over 45 minutes last week. We never had to wait.

So you can show up anytime during those 2 hours and be seated right away? I wish I had known that before I made my reservations. I may try to change them.

  5. Did the Northbound on the Radiance a few years ago. After we disembarked in Seward, we spent another wonderful week in Alaska including a train trip to Anchorage where we rented a car and drove to Denali. It was an amazing vacation and I hope to do it again some day. I really liked both parts (cruise and land tour), but you are missing a great deal if you don't do a land tour.

  6. We will be on the Liberty in January and will report back. We were on the Independence last January and really enjoyed the selections in the Jade section of the Windjammer. Hope they are still good!!

Although it was before the new menu, I thought the IOS food in general, besides Jade, was just okay. A few things really good, but an awfully lot -- not so much.

  7. We were just there and rented a jeep from Avis. The jeep was in good working order, a/c, etc. Total cost was $83 with tax. We had to wait a good 20 minutes after we paid and threatened to cancel if they didn't get our car in 5 minutes (after we had waited 20 when they told us 5), then suddenly the car was there. Gas was $12...we went all around the island. Turn right out of the gate and just stay on the road, it will take you to the other side of the island where there are some GREAT bars (don't miss Coconuts, $4.50 margaritas and a BEAUTIFUL view, great food too) and beautiful scenery...unspoiled beaches. Well worth the money!! There's hardly any traffic once you are out of the port area.

Would love to hear more about your day--what other places were great. Did you have trouble parking anywhere? Do most places charge for parking? Did you snorkel? LOL Sorry for all the questions, but trying to figure out what to do here.
