We've been on the Magic twice, going again in September. It is by FAR my favorite ship in the fleet. It has a lot of activities, plenty of space. It doesn't feel crowded for the quantity of people on the ship.
Also, we have been to Grand Turk and Amber Cove. Grand Turk is great. Get off the ship, grab some seats with an umbrella and call it a day. Or do an excursion, have some fun if that is more your speed. As for Amer cove, we have only been there one time, we just got off the ship to walk around and see what it was all about. It was the first stop we did and it was a relatively new port.

So we decided to rent a car. It cost me a whole $50 through USAA. So ill suck up the 3 hour drive for another week on a ship.

I wouldn't try for an 8:00 flight.
Check Southwest, there should be a few options for flights from FLL to MCO.
Soithwest was the airline I checked. Mainly because it’s $65 each. They have 8am, 215, and like a 430. I’ve also looked at Miami, America has flights that are $100+. Spirit has a flight at 8am.

So my fiancé and I are doing a back to back for our honeymoon in September. Our first cruise is out of a Fort Lauderdale on the magic. I know the ship will get into port well before 8am. My issue is, the first flight to Orlando is at 8am. We need to go there for our 2nd cruise on the breeze with a group of our friends.
So my question is, who thinks it’s possible to get off the ship, get to the airport, and on that 8am flight or Orlando. We would be doing the self assist debark so we don’t need to wait for our bags or anything.
The next flight from Fort Lauderdale is at 215, so there is no way to take that and be able to obviously get on the Breeze in time.

Anyone just back from a cruise? Was it cold or chilly out on deck at night? I'm leaving Thursday on the Sensation and was wondering if I'll need a heavier jacket. Thanks.
Could just be me, but the only time I needed a jacket is when we cruised out of Baltimore on the Pride and we came back to 18 inches of snow. Other than that no jacket needed.

Our last time in San Juan we got in line at about 10, waited a good half hour or so for them to start checking boarding passes. Went into the cruise terminal and had no line what so ever than waited another half hour 45 to actually bored the ship. Remember, you can bored the ship and get off again through out the day so FTTF isn't really worth it.

I'm on November 16 as well

Last time we used SAS, they were really good. Fort Lauderdale to Miami is about 26 miles so it shouldn't take to long to get there.

I booked a November 2016 on the vista all ready....
-
Yeah they have the fire doors closed until rooms are good to go, once they are open rooms are ready
-
How do we know when our room is ready? I know that we have to wait to drop off our carry ons until the room is ready but I have no idea how we would know that. Thanks!
You don't technically need to wait to drop your carry ons off. Rooms are normally ready around 1-2. Depending on when you get on the ship just go to the deck you're on and check the doors to see if they are open to the hallway. If they are then you're good, if not wait a little while.

Miami was one of the easiest ones my wife and j have ever done. We just wanted to get called and we were still out by 8-9

We are doing the 11 day repo from NYC-MIA on 11/16/16. Chose it becuase of the ports, its a brand new ship and that its the second sailing from the US.

If it was for a grand suite sure, but not the ocean suite. Keep the 600 and use it for something better

but nothing showing up for 2017 cruises
Probably because it's so far out.

We went in April on the liberty
-
Took us about 15 minutes
-
We also staying in old San Juan for 2 days before our cruise in April and had no issues. We were there a year prior and had the same great experience then as we did this time. I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Love zip lining. Some sections of it are fast, not scary at all (at least for my wife and me)

I know this is a long shot... but does anyone know if such a room configuration exists? An inside room and a balcony room connecting? Not cruiseline specific yet - just looking at options.
2 adults, 1 child and 1 baby - on some lines it looks cheaper to book 2 inside rooms than 1 balcony room.
Thanks!
Connected by the hallway...

Usually work until the day we leave. Pack when I get home from work, get all my dogs stuff figured out with who is watching him.
Magic dock time in Fort Lauderdale
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Last time I was on the Magic we docked at about 5am. Everything I got from Carnival is saying around 8am. Just trying to figure out the best time to grab a rental car and drive to Port Canaveral to jump on the breeze.
