  1. What you do to get to Bacardi....

If your standing looking at the valor, off to the right is a yellow building that is where the ferry docks up. Go into that building and get your tickets, it will be a whole $2 round trip. Ferry ride is about 10 minutes as you are just crossing over the bay.

When you get off the ferry you will exit the building and take a right, walk along the side walk and you will see a parking garage where vans are parked. They will take you to the Bacardi factory. I believe it was $16 for the both of us each way.

When you get to the factory you will get your tickets and your 2 free drink tickets. We had to wait about 30 minutes for our tour to start. After the tour your dropped off at the souvenir shop which is near the taxi vans to take you back to the ferry.

  2. Took the plunge and booked the Valor for next April last night with the 1/2 price deposit. Have been looking at condos to rent in San Juan so we can get some beach time in a few days before the cruise leaves. We booked for the final week of April as the 3rd week had restrictions on occupancy. Did not like the sound of that and thought it might be a group cruise or something.

So, we need some help ..... we are beach and snorkeling people and would love some of your thoughts to do in the ports that Valor does: St. Thomas, Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, St. Maarten.

Also, what is not to be missed on the ship?

When are you going? We are booked to do the valor again on April 19. We did this cruise this past april for our honeymoon and loved it

  3. I was wanting to know as much as possible about the cabin? Pictures if possible. Does it stay cool? Are there advantages and disadvantages? I know all this sounds dumb but I am very excited about having this cabin!

Well.....Where to start. My wife and I had this cabin from March 29-April 5. We love this room. Its quiet, its a good size, a lot of storage space. We also had the cabin next to us, so we opened the divider and had one massive balcony. The walk is a little far, but its nice since you are only a few decks below the adults only pool and 2 decks below Lido.

  4. No idea. we were on the port side and they had the gangways out for a long time and then they brought them in and we got on our way. They switched out comedians on Wed so maybe one of them was late. I never saw anybody get on late though.

The ship kept calling 2 people that never showed up. I was port side as well and noticed how long they kept the gangways out. 2 of the other people they kept calling where at the balcony below us and they said she had her phone on, but it was an hour behind so she didn't think she was late.

  5. thanks for the review!

Was the cigar bar still open?

Last time we were on the liberty it wasn't a cigar bar anymore, just another bar that only had 1 family in, and the kids were running around.

  6. I love Lido deck balconies. Very quiet and very close to all the action! :D

I'll second that on the lido deck. We went and we had a cabin and my mom was 3 cabins away. Great location. My mom actually got the same cabin for our upcoming cruise in march

  7. well with 4 months out going to give a little update. We finished the Invites and will be mailing them out this weekend (will be putting up a post to showcase all of my hard work making my own boarding pass invites). Also, we have planned a "grooms dinner" (feels silly calling a rehearsal dinner, we have nothing to rehearse) in the Carnival steakhouse on board. We have right now 29 people booked for it (number will go up if any more people book). I have read threads about the steakhouse making you book out half of the room or the entire venue but my FMIL has had no issues dealing with them. We also have a cocktail hour booked for right before the dinner. They just doubled the prices for an open bar hour, which sucks. :(

Hopefully everyone is having a bout of smooth sailing like I have for the past month or so!!! Now onto dealing with how I want my St. Thomas reception to look :D

Yours? It's not just yours. I'm part of it too miss. :D
