Just back from a 12 day, both of us in our 70's, no Dr. note required...and yes, I remember when that was going to be a requirement just before all of the cruises were cancelled in 2020, because we were scheduled for the beginning of April 2020 and I was panicking about the note before our cruise was cancelled because our Dr. did NOT want us to go on the cruise... 😁

Dragon, thank you again SOOOO much for taking the time to take us all along with you! Have really enjoyed all of your pics and posts!

Delta, I hate to admit this, but I actually printed my Set Sail pass for this coming Saturday even though I have it on the App, just because I'm paranoid that for some reason I won't have whatever "service" I need at the terminal. Sorry...I do try with all of this technology but why would I worry about it when I can just print... 😝

YESSSS!!! Please do "take us along" with you if it's not too much trouble. Always love the live reviews and usually learn something new each time!

Rogue, thanks for letting us all go along on your cruise. Yes, that last photo makes me sad...and I'm not the one disembarking. I am always in a total funk on the last day, with packing and knowing it's over. 🙁 Oh, and before I forget...you and the coffee "adventures"...your wife is a saint!!! Looking forward to your final thoughts on this one and following along on your next trip!

BTW...I have a great unicycle story if you ever run into me. Just remember to ask and I'll be happy to share.
Ummm, Delta...this sounds very "interesting"... 😵

Rogueperson, thank you so much for your beautiful photos of St. Croix. We did the walking tour when we were there last November and took photos...your photos put ours to shame. You really captured everything that I tried/wanted to capture. Thank you so much...oh, and thank you for your awesome review!

Husband and I each carried two bottles in our carry-on and also carried the 2nd leg SetSail pass, but were never asked anything by security. This was out of Baltimore before the pandemic.

Wannab4Ecruiser and Lane Hog, thanks so much for the information.

Thanks for this thread. I, too, am hoping not to set up yet another "My Chart" as my husband and I already have two with different hospitals. I would really like to just get the CVS results as an e-mail or text that I can just print out and take with us on our cruise in April. I appreciate all of the good information.

I don't wear a robe at home either, opting for sweat pants and sweat shirt or t-shirt but LOVE a robe on a cruise! We bring magnetic hooks and hang the robes from the ceiling in a corner/out-of-the-way space so they don't take up any of the coveted room in the closet. 40 lb magnetic hooks (bought mine on Amazon) from the ceiling (not the wall) will hold the heavy terry robes. Also bring 20 lb hooks and hang hats, purse, jewelry, covid masks, etc. on the wall.

I have had BPPV since I turned 50 and I'm now...umm...70. For me it has to do with bending over and then straightening up/bringing up my head too fast or at an odd angle. I've been on about 30 cruises since I first had BPPV and had NO issues on the cruises...haha, mainly since I wasn't exercising or cleaning or something else where I was making that motion from low to high with my head. I can tell you that the motion of the ship has never caused me to have a bout of vertigo. I've never taken any medication for it, so I can't speak to that. I am glad that you reached out to CC because I've always gotten great advice here over the years. Enjoy your cruises!

Celebrity has been doing the canned water for the past couple of years...had it first on a TA in 2019 and recently on a b2b for 21 days. I didn't detect any tin or metal taste at all. It was fine and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

ReneeFLL, I believe the test was $59 pp. They did not take insurance. I didn't ask for a receipt to submit to Medicare, so I don't know if you can get reimbursed or not. It was worth it to me to just get it done at the airport and be finished with it!

We flew in to Fort Lauderdale and had our test done at the airport (we had gotten appointments in advance but they took us early), got the results on our phone and had them printed out at our hotel.

To be honest, we are older and had a LOT of luggage as we were going on a b2b for 3 weeks...so we had a car service meet us and stay with us for a few stops. If we didn't have a lot of luggage, we would have walked, but I'm sorry, I can't tell you exactly how far it is.

I know that there must be many good car services in the area, but I'm sure you will be very pleased with Larry's!

When I booked I spoke to Raphael and he was very thorough, including asking me if I needed transportation the following day to the port and/or pickup upon our return. I will definitely use Larry's again!

Just a quick note to confirm that I did get my Rapid Antigen test at the FLL airport when I flew in on October 27th for my cruise on October 29th. I had an appt for 1:30 but arrived at 1 pm and they took me right away. They did not ask for my boarding pass or proof of flight in or out of FLL, but I had already filled that info out on-line when I made my appt, so maybe that's why. They would not print out my results; they only text and e-mail the info to you, just fyi, and I had my results in about 15 minutes. I printed out my results at the hotel so I would have a "hard copy" as I was nervous about just having it on my phone. Also, you must pay $59 for the test. I did not ask for a receipt to submit to my insurance, so I'm not sure if they ever provide a receipt. Hope this helps anyone flying into Fort Lauderdale for a cruise.

Just used Larry's Limo on October 27th. The driver, Barry, called my cell shortly after the flight landed and asked what we were wearing so he could identify us and he was standing at the bottom of the escalator at baggage claim with a sign. We had him drive us to our hotel for an early check-in, back to the airport for our Antigen test (yes they DO perform that test for arriving passengers), and then to a Publix to pick up wine, beer and snacks since we came in to FLL a day prior to our cruise. Then back to our hotel. Barry was fabulous and I highly recomment Larry's Limo.

Thanks everyone! I did book Larry's Limo... I just phoned and Raphael answered all of my questions and I thought the price was very reasonable. Thank you!!!

Thanks CruiserBruce. Yes, I had searched Florida Departures and that's the name/company that seemed to have the most recommendations. Just wanted to make sure before I contacted them that I was on the right track and wasn't overlooking someone. 🙂

Is Larry's Limo the best car service to pick us up and stay with us for a few hours in Fort Lauderdale? Normally I would take a cab or Uber, but need to make a few stops with an hour (or more) at one of the stops and want to feel safe leaving our luggage in the car. Thanks so much for any recommendations!

Oh, sorry, it was at the beginning of Covid in 2020 that he was adamant that we shouldn't go on the April 2020 cruise. Now our Dr. is fine with us cruising.
