  1. That's great but with only 3 Celeb cruises we now get free wine, free laundry, free internet AND usually ore-paid gratuities & shipboard credit plus we can stay in a Sky or Celebrity suite that's larger than O's penthouse suites for less than an O veranda.... Far more perks sooner! But again, to each their own! We loved O but are loving Celebrity more! :). (More often too for we can cruise at least twice as much with our savings!)

  2. After 10 Oceania cruises without air (we use miles for business & first) they are at least double the cost - with purchasing sodas, coffees & specialty restaurants added in - we did B2b Oceania & Celebrity with essentially same itinerary gor comparison & saved over $3000 on the Celebrity sailing, we can sometimes get a suite on Celeb for far less than regular veranda on Oceania....

  3. Look at suites on Celebrity! After 10 Oceania cruises (3 of them in Penthouse) we finally wished up and switched! After just 3 cruises by being in Celebrity Suites we made Elite and gained free wine, free laundry, & free internet! And paid less than basic veranda on Oceania! Love saving money & getting better accommodations with more perks!

  4. Well this thread has not been active in a while so I thought I would move it up and also ask for some help from the Aussie boys. We are staying in Sydney for 8 days before the cruise, we are on the cruise before from NZ. We are looking to rent a small, inexpensive apartment in Sydney for the 8 days. Any suggestions as to what part of the city or where to find them would be of great help. We are looking on Airbnb but....

    Thanks Jeff and Bob

I was checking into the main thread (have you ever seen such drama?!) and saw that there was another specialized one... You all sound like great folks! I have booked two pre-cruise excursions from Sydney, April 7 - blue mountains and April 9 south coast rain forest and waterfalls. Into scenic & photo ops! I booked for a party of 6 and have space for two more on each. Email me for details if interested!

  5. As a much traveled 'light packer' I read this thread with smiles - Last trip I did was three weeks in Italy including a wonderful week at cooking school in Tuscany (my second time there and it was one of the best weeks EVER!) and I had one carry on bag and a really small body wrap purse that held a Sony Ereader, cell phone, passport money and gum! However, what I did pack that I don't see and yes, I may have missed it, is a collapsable travel umbrella! This saved us time and again for it rained on and off for 8 of the days we were there! I got ours at TJ Max but Travel Smith and Magellan's have fold flat 'briefcase' models that are fabulous! Happy Cruising! My next big grip is 6 weeks in Europe with the last 16 days being Oceania's Marina cruise from London to Rome... I'll be packing one carry one and a bigger purse!! And looking forward to the laundry room on the ship! Have great fun all....and happy travels!!
