I have seen several postings asking when Blackjack Band would be back from vacation on the Dream. Their vacation starts February 15th and they will return on April 5th for the repositioning cruise that ends up in New Orleans. I hope Melanie and Jimmy enjoy a relaxing vacation on land!

Blackjack Band is on vacation until sometime in April. Not sure what date though?

Cruising on the Liberty in June and the CD is James Dunn. Anybody cruised with him?

Thanks for everyone's comments. Switched to Liberty today. 8 days going to Aruba, Curacao, and Grand Turk. $49 more than the sunshine for the same balcony cabin and lido deck plus $150 on board credit. Can't wait!

Need advice. We have been on the Dream 7 times but are currently booked on the Sunshine June 28th to Nassau (hate the place), San Juan, St. Thomas and Grand Turk. The bad reviews of the Sunshine are making me very nervous. We can go on the Liberty for 8 days to Aruba, Curaco, and Grand Turk for $49 more. What would you do and why? Comments and suggestions are appreciated. Taking first time cruisers with us. Thanks.

We are going on the Sunshine on June 28th after sailing on the Dream 7 times. I have one question, are there the decks out front of the Sunshine like it was on the Dream? We loved watching the sailaway from the deck away from the crowds. I'm trying to prepare myself for the changes from the Dream as we had it mastered and knew the shortcuts around traffic.

James is alot of fun, very personable and high energy! You will love him!

lyndamr-not quite sure why you dislike Blackjack Band so strongly?:confused: I have sailed with on the Dream 5 times and found Blackjack very entertaining-appeal to all age groups! Not unusual to see an 80 year old dancing nor a 3 or 4 year old dancing to their music! Sailing on the Dream for the 6th time in 5 weeks and can't wait to hear them again! And yes, I have listened and seen many live bands over the years and they are definitely worth your time if you are sailing on the Dream! Don't forget, Ocean Plaza (Deck 5)!

Great review so far. Thinking of doing the Legend for spring break next year. What did you think of CD James Dunn? We got to know James when he was ACD on the Dream on two cruises and still keep in touch with him. Just interested to see what you thought of him! I think you just sold me on the Legend though and the hotel! Can't wait to read more!

Oscar Lopez from the Dream. Had Oscar both on April sailing and requested him for the July 3rd sailing we just returned on. Exceptional! Great personality, fun, professional and never had to ask for anything! Definitely at the top where waiters are concerned! Been with Carnival for 18 years! Great guy and great with kids! Sadly, he is leaving the Dream this week and not sure which ship he will be relocated to. I guess I'll have to wait till October to find out.
