Nice write-up, thanks!

I walk out on bad shows. Why waste my time if the show sucks?
-
Sorry, not even in the top 5. Better than the casseroles they call pizza in Chicago, though.
Thats your opinion. I have eaten pizza all over the county, IMO NYC is hands down the best.
-
Must have been a terrible experience. Hopefully no PTSD pops up down the road.
Winner!

It was also a better place years ago when people actually followed the guidelines and knew how to dress when going out to dinner.
How other people dress is absolutely NONE of your business ;);)
-
The world was a better place years ago when people worried more about themselves, instead of being obsessed with what other people are doing.

The pizza on all of the NCL ships I have sailed (4 different ships) has been horrendous. Of course, living in nyc and having access to the best pizza in the country spoils me a bit.
-
I've done the NCL organized ones, and also have created our own. I like creating your own because you choose which bars to hit, for how long, and what to drink. Have fun.

I once won $40,000 at the Mohegan Sun playing tic tac toe against a chicken.

Sorry, I misunderstood your post.
No need to be sorry, sometimes typed word is hard to interpret. I agree that slots (especially on ships) are not random. I don't even trust some of the other games to be honest.
-
I didn't say you can't win at these games but they are rigged to take in a certain amount of money before it pays out. You might sit down at a slot machine and win a jackpot on your first "pull" but I can guarantee that machine is going to make money for the owner of the machine. None of those games are true random.
The FWIW in front of my post stands for "for what it's worth"... I wasn't disputing anything that you said.

I'm a dude with an auto correct issue

Is that oil or watercolor, and is it hard to learn? :')
I've been dabbling with pastels as of late. For my upcoming cruise on the Escape, I've been working on small figurines of the Capt, hotel director, and food & beverage director. They are made out of different pasta's, similar to what Kramer used on Seinfeld. I just know the crew will eat them up! (pun intended)

Voda and club with a lemon (or lime) is a low calorie drink.

Yep, all the games involving money that are played on the ship are rigged to make money for the cruise line. Even the "skill game" of Key Master is rigged to make money. Everyone should participate in these games for the entertainment value, not potential winnings.
FWIW I personally witnessed someone win $1,000 on the Key Master game.

I usually bring them an 8X10 hand painted portrait of my entire family, that I paint myself. They seem to really appreciate it, and always assure me they will hang it in their quarters, how cool is that?

The Brew House is the best place on the entire ship! Great atmosphere, not very crowded and live music.
The casino was good... we even won a little :) Only issue is the smoke.
I got the Filet and it was dry... but get the brownie sundae.. it is heaven!
Thank you very much for the info!

I was just on the same cruise.
The District Brewhouse is heaven. Never crowded, adults only and Beau Tahana is a joy to watch as is Orly. We were there every night.
I don't go into the casino on cruise ships.
I have not been to Cagneys on the Escape but I did on the Sky and thought it was great. We had a great server and the food was cooked perfectly.
Thanks for your info!

Stick with the drink package, and drink more :)
-
I'll be on the Escape soon for the first time! Couple questions if you don't mind?
Did you spend any time in district brew house? How is it? Seems like a cool place
How's the casino on the Escape? Same as the "away" ships?
We usually enjoy Cagneys, what did you get there that you didn't enjoy (so I avoid it lol)
Thanks for any feedback!

We won't miss ya

Bottle water is WAYYY over priced on NCL. But many people just rely on the tap water.

Anyone hear anything about a lot of construction on board the Sun on its last cruise?
