  1. Hello Cruisers,

We are looking at a Norwegian Cruise for the Western Caribbean in 2/2016.

We are Platinum with Princess and have been very loyal until now. Some advise would be great on the differences of the two lines. This will be our 11th

cruise in the last 3 years. Would you stay loyal with one line?

    Warm Regards!

  2. We always stay on Caribe decks due to the larger balconies and we always stay in the same cabin which is C435. Its a great cabin, mid ship next to the stairs. We have been on the Crown several times and C435 is a great location.

    Good Luck!

  3. Like the other posters I have been to different parts of Mexico for the last 40 plus years and have never been sick. I eat at the stands, restaurants and bars. We were actually married in Puerto Vallarta in 2009. That is how much we love Mexico, the food and the people. I also did Vallarta Eats taco tour last year on a land vacation. They actually tell you how to spot a clean taco stand. I highly recommend them. Three hours a food bliss. Have fun, wash your hands often and enjoy. You will love it. We might be on the same cruise. We are sailing on 2//14/2015...

    Regards,

    Sharon and Mark

  4. Hi All CC'rs,

Just a quick question. Thinking about spoiling my husband with a surprise penthouse suite mid ship on Riviera deck. Is it really worth the extra money. What is like on that deck. We are used to Caribe mid ship balcony. Difference is about 3K. Would like any info about what you liked about the cabin on the Rudy (R417)

    Thanks in advance!

    Sharon

  5. Thanks GRASUT! We had a great cruise and a lot of fun with another couple from Utah that we invited it was their first cruise and they had a blast. Again, there was plenty to do, a few sun days, food was good, not great but never went hungry. And met quite a few new friends that we exchanged info for later cruises. I will say it again. We just made lemonade out of a few lemons.

    Take Care!

  6. Hi! Just off the Emerald and we were in C435 and our friends were in C437. Identical rooms and like other poster said, big balcony with 4 chairs. You walk right out your door and there are the mid stairs. Very convenient for us as we always do stairs. I would highly recommend C437 vs a mini as we like this 1/2 sun and 1/2 shade balcony.

    Have fun!

  7. I have to say I have not read all 9 pages, but I was on this cruise as well and we had a great time. Yes, there was the group, but my husband and I made friends with several of the men whom where great to hang out with. I did not feel they took over the entire ship. They had functions just like any other group and I have been on business cruises where we took up areas as well. We are insurance people. The weather was an issue, but we just made lemonade...Just saying...My opinion...

  8. Have a wonderful cruise. We will be on the same itinerary in 10 days leaving from Houston and I am very excited as well. You might want to check out Tabyana Beach excursion in Roatan. We are going back this time and loved it last time. Beautiful beach and great snorkeling from the beach. Have a blast and can't wait to read your review.

    Warm Regards,

    Sharon

  9. My choice is the Marriott if you can get a good deal. We always stay there pre cruise and love paying a little extra or using points to stay. The rooms are great with balcony, nice hot tub, great service and food. Cute bar!

    Have fun!

  10. We tried to reserve the Sanctuary on the Royal last March and were one on the first on and still is was booked. If you go to Deck 7, near the rear of the Royal, there are some padded recliners that are real comfortable, it's quiet and you have a great view of the ocean since you are lower. We found it was our sanctuary without the cost. I refuse to pay the double price. It used to be 15.00/pp for the whole week. We loved it at that price, not double.

    Have fun!

  11. We were there last November and as we were walking to town, at the edge of town we asked a local where a certain restaurant was. He took us up and over about 7 blocks. It was like a mini tour and he waved off all the venders at the shops. It was great, so I would maybe ask a local. We tipped him about 5 bucks and he was very happy. Also, we stayed away from the tourist restaurants. Just wanted some local tacos. Very safe and have fun!

  12. We have been on the Mexico cruise twice and booked again for 2/2015. We are loyal to Princess for our cruises. We went January 2010 and November 2013. Both times the weather was great and had no rain the entire trip. Very warm! Our ports were the same and will be the same again. Puerta Vallarta, Cabo and Ensenada. We loved all the ports. Favorite is Puerta Vallarta as we were married there 5 years ago, hense the pic. Do not miss the Taco Tour with Vallarta Eats. It was a great tour, but we were there for a 7 day land trip.

Hope this helps and have a great time!
