Regular nights we go to dinner around 730 and ask for a table for two and there's no wait. Elegant nights the wait is usually 20-30 min.

I take my toast back to my room and use the hair dryer to warm it back up. Can even get a nice burn on it with the high setting.

Yes I play occasionally on the ship, you can't spin the wheel or collect additional lives or boosters without wifi but you can still get your fix without paying for internet.

I don't have your answer but I walked through the gym on embarkation day and saw them all kind of piled into a corner.. not sure if they use the same space for other activities. I'd be interested in hearing for sure though...

This is great! My question is, how do you know how much these are?

The prices are on the menu... But it really doesn't matter if you have cheers

First, a spiked coffee, then a couple of bloody Mary's with breakfast. A couple beers hanging by the aft pool. A frozen drink of some kind with guys burgers or tacos. Another frozen drink while enjoying the sun on serenity. Perhaps a second. Gotta throw in a couple waters and vitamin waters just to keep hydrated, lol! A Makers on ice while getting ready for dinner. A stop at alchemy for a Caribbean manhatten while awaiting for the MDR to open. And a second to bring to dinner. Another spiked coffee to end dinner. Off to a show, stopping for another Caribbean manhatten (best drink on board...). A frozen drink at the show, cause we just don't have them ever, except on a cruise. Gotta throw another bottle of water down. And after the show, stopping in the atrium for a night cap, probably another Makers on ice. Then a vitamin water and a bottle of water to head back to the room to rest for the next sea day! Gotta love vaca!

Ok what's in a Caribbean Manhattan and can you get them everywhere?

Thanks everyone for your opinions! I have to say I agree with everyone both for and against getting it... But I felt the pressure of time and limited availability and decided to book it. I think the price jump is sickening but I'm worried I'll be very disappointed if we don't have any sort of balcony and the slight upcharge from standard to aft is worth it to me. Thanks again!!

Hello! I'm looking to book on the fascination and can't decide if I should book my first ever aft balcony or save $470pp and just book an ocean view and save the $$ -opinions?

I've been doing a lot of searches so as not to ask repeat questions but I'm curious about the street cars. Are they primarily used by tourists for sight seeing or more for transportation by locals and tourists. Depending on this answer I'm just wondering what the best option strictly for transportation is... bus, streetcar or Uber? We will be doing a walking tour on magazine street and will have 30min or so to meet our next tour back in the French quarter. Wondering the best option. We will also require transportation from French quarter(hotel) to ww2 museum and again next day to port. Also again from port to hotel post cruise. I'm assuming streetcars are not a good place to bring luggage? Thank you!!

Wake up and head to MDR for breakfast but stop at coffee bar and get a latte or americano, bring that to dining room. Usually two mimosas with breakfast, and occasionally I'll grab a third one at lobby bar on the way back to room to prepare for pool day. Head up to pool, nap. Drink 1 or 2 blues blue margaritas around lunch time and into afternoon. Nap. Usually grab one more mojito or frozen drink late afternoon go play bingo, slots, cornhole whatever. Sometimes one more before heading back to room for pre- dinner nap. Shower and prep for dinner. Go to alchemy for martini and take into MDR. Usually have one more martini with dinner. Stop back at alchemy get martini to take to shows, piano bar or whatever after dinner. After said nighttime activity (usually one or two more cocktails at that venue) head back to close alchemy. We aIso get big waters in MDR and collect water throughout the day as well. I added that up and it's 15 drinks :o but I've never actually had more than 8 or 9 in a day that I can recall. My boyfriend has only hit 15 once or twice himself but it usually ends up saving us a hundred or so dollars between the two of us.

I tried doing a search first but didn't come up with anything really. Getting excited for my upcoming Dream cruise and would love to see pics since drydock, maybe know which days will be elegant, deck parties etc.

Will do Pat. My regulars at work did it and told me it was the best thing the whole trip. Was a little hard cause the regular trip to Passion Island was $79 adult $49 kids. Twister was $99 each no matter what. After my kids begged I decided to be Super Dad and fork out the $$$. Lol.

Our taxi driver took the 9 of us to Hemingway's - closer than Public Beach and a fantastic location. The Hemingway's Hotel is closed for renovation, but the pool, beach, jacuzzi, restaurant, beach service, loungers and umbrellas were fantastic. Our ship was the first to arrive out of the 6 in port that day, so we were able to score front row loungers on the beach. They serve food and drinks to you on the beach. It was not crowded at all and we didn't even pay for umbrella or loungers like the other resorts on 7 mile beach. Perhaps our taxi driver had a connection with them. We only paid for the taxi ($5 per person x 9 of us = $35 each way) plus food. We asked the driver to pick us up at 1:15 to return to port for some shopping and he picked us up precisely at 1:15.

How long ago was this? Do you have pictures?

To answer your question...we were there in November 2017. It cost $15 for two loungers and an umbrella. A bucket of beers (5 bottles) was $20.

I've done some searches and can't find what I'm looking for. Has anyone been to Calico Jacks recently and have any pics to share? I've seen a few pics on TripAdvisor and it looks like it's all picnic tables?? Can you rent loungers and umbrellas and what is the cost? Also, what are the prices of drinks and food? I was also looking at Royal Palms but seem pretty expensive for Caribbean IMO so just looking to compare.
