  1. 1) How do y'all hang wet bathing suits in the bathroom? Does the Conquest have clothes were I should bring clothes pins?

    - As stated by others, there is a short drawstring in the shower. It's OK for bathing suits. Suggest you each bring a couple of bathing suits as it can take a while to fully dry them.

    2) On Conquest how do pay for laundry? Do we need quarters or it is the room key? How busy are the laundry rooms? Do we need to stay there while our laundry washes and dries?

    - Suggest you ask your cabin steward for the laundry bag option. $15 per bag washed / dried / folded (somewhat). Delivered next day. We don't do laundry while on a cruise, time is better spend relaxing. If you roll up the soiled clothes really tightly and fill the bag to the brim, it's really worth it. Can be done any day of the cruise.

    3) What are the best places to eat in Miami? We are staying in Miami for 2 days after the cruise.

    - That's a really wide open question. Suggest you use trip advisor for places near your hotel or places you'll be visiting.

    4) What is your favorite phone app for traveling? So far I have downloaded Universal Studios (the first part of our vacation), Pre Flight Parking, and delta. What are other awesome apps to use.

    - Carnival Hub App. You'll need it if you get the Social Media package onboard.

    5) How much actual cash did y'all bring for tips and souvenirs on the islands? I know to bring $1's, but how many? We will have our credit cards for most purchases so I don't think I need a lot of cash.

    - Cash only for ports of call. For a 7 day cruise, I'll bring $700 in cash. It stays in the room safe except for the amount I need to bring ashore for the day...which depends on the activities we will be doing. I bring ONE credit card with me "just in case". As previously stated, US $$$ are the best way to purchase & haggle with vendors. We usually bring $50 in singles, but they are also used for porters, taxis before & after, as well as onboard (usually for any room service). Bars slips all have a 15% gratuity built in so no need to add extra.

    Hope this helps you out.

Chicken Parmesa in Cucina Del Capitano

So many other choices I forget how many I actually like.

  3. We've never done the sea day Brunch but are considering it this cruise. What are the times for this? Where is it? Do you have to sit with other people? Can you give me an idea of the food selection? Is it offered on every sea day? :D

Aft dining room. Usually 9am-ish till 2pm-ish if I remember correctly.

    Steak & Eggs

    Eggs Benedict

    French Toast

    Pasta Choice

There are quite a few other items, I just don't remember them all.

  4. Hi.

I have a Havana Cabana Suite booked for next February on the Vista.

I will try to get FTTF also but if I am unable to get FTTF, can I board early with the suites

or do I still have to get there at my allotted time?

With a suite you get priority embarkation.

Do suite guests have a different area where they wait to board than the other passengers?

Only if you are Platinum or Diamond.

Are the Main Dining Room(s) open each morning for breakfast? Lunch?

On Sea Days: Yes & Yes. On Port Days: Yes & No.

I will be on Deck 5. Are there places other than the Lido buffet to get lunch (or breakfast) on Deck 5 since we are planning on staying on the ship in a few ports.

Coffee Shop in Ocean Plaza has some pastries & similar.

We have also purchased a couples spa pass. I understand the spa is not the same as was on the Breeze but we plan on using it during the week and on port days. Did you find it hard to get a lounger to relax? Are there loungers in there other than the heated ones?

    Don't know, haven't been.

We have ATD reserved. We are two people that would like to eat approximately 7 pm - 8 pm. Will this be a big problem? What time is the late reserved dining time?

Late dining is 8:15pm. Anytime dining can have long wait times. As in to eat at 7pm, you'll probably need to get your buzzer at 6:15ish and then hang around Ocean Plaza waiting for it to go off. Not for me.

If we plan on getting to the comedy show for the late night show (what time does it start, 11 pm?), would we get a seat if we lined up about 30-45 minutes prior to the show?

    Yes.

Have you used the gym? I would like to use the treadmills for a run and the rowing machine. Two weeks ago I sailed NCL Getaway and had to be at the gym between 6 am - 7 am to get a treadmill. If I got there later (7:15 am), I either got the last one or had to wait (happened twice).

I plan on getting to the gym early. I like to get it over and done, especially on vacation. Also, were there any complimentary classes?

Machine Access usually not a problem in the gym, except for early morning in my experience. Don't know about free classes.

Thank you all so much! I'm sure I'll have lots more questions but these have been the ones I've been trying to find answers too the last couple of weeks.

You're very welcome. Hopefully others will chime in as well.

  5. Are you saying the Feb. 11th cruise, the cruise when the construction started will get a credit to their bill? That would be my wife and I. Hope so.

    YES.

They are in process of sending letters to all registered emails of those of us that were on the sailing Feb 11th.

    - 25% refund of fare paid, to be applied to whatever payment method you used for the cruise

    - 50% rebate (of this cruise fare) to be applied to a future cruise taken before 9/1/18 (September I believe).

    :D

  6. During the day when only Havana guests allowed, not very. Both hot tubs were busier. Once 5pm rolled around and everybody else had access...we left to get ready for dinner.

On sea days lots of people "try" to sneak into Havana...staff don't always catch them...after a few days, the staff knew which ones of us were Havana or not...if I noticed an intruder, I would just nod at the attendant and point my head towards them...he would go over and politely ask them to leave and come back after 5pm.

This was last summer on a Med cruise in July.

  7. Hmmm.

We were on the cruise just prior to this one (so second to last).

The tear down of the slides was already underway when we boarded.

We knew the ship was soon going into drydock, so we expected some work to be going on. The cruise was also priced right considering.

None of the work bothered us in the least, but we had an OV on deck 2...so pretty far from the noise going on at the upper levels.

The crew was great, the food was good, the beer was cold, the shows were good, and we had fun in the Ports of Call.

It was still a good vacation in my opinion.

Had our cabin been on Lido or just underneath...it may not have been so pleasant I imagine.
