  1. I deal with TD Canada Trust and not once have I had to block my card as their fraud department picks up all transactions that are not mine and there have been several.

 Good Lord, change your card already. If you are getting transactions that are not yours, that means that your card has been cloned.

  2. We didn't eat anything at the Havana bar, but did get a drink there and looked at the food menu. It appeared there was a la carte pricing. Is it free at certain times?

They have Cuban sandwiches & Pork Empanadas during the lunch cycle. I think they start putting them out at 11am and stop around 2pm if I remember correctly. Only downside is the warmer is TINY (like 4 sandwiches and 6 Empanadas tiny)...so you often have to wait... I found this very disappointing compared to Sunshine which had much the same but in greater quantity so there was always something.

  3. If he selected Early or Late seating, when you board the ship your Sign & Sail card will say where you are seated.

If he selected Any Time Dining, you need to go put your name on the list every day and will be called when table is available. On Vista last summer, we tried ATD the first night and didn't enjoy it. You had to go to a certain little desk to get your name put on the list, they gave you a little buzzer disc that would go off when a table was free...we had to wait 35 minutes for the buzzer to go off...friends of ours waited 2 hours...

From then on we reverted to our usual practice of Late Seating.

    :)

  4. You do realize the OP asked this in Jan and was sailing in June.....I think they MIGHT have figured out their travel plans already.

Yikes ! Just saw that... I inadvertly clicked on the reply count and I didn't notice the dates. :o

  5. Reports say that some rooms get noisy from the music, how was yours?

Ours was more towards the front of the Havana area, we could hear the music (not too loudly) when the band was playing it's sets...but it didn't bother us...they knocked off at 12am or 1am if I remember correctly. Those Insides more towards the back of the Havana area probably heard it louder than we did.

  6. What port are you docking at ?

We did DRF from Montego Bay. Long-ish bus ride (but OK).

Driver stays with the bus, so we left our things there.

Bring water shoes ! You can get them on-site...but $$$. Cheaper to buy them at Wal-Mart and bring them with you. You can't bring a towel with you because it will get all wet climbing the falls.

There are lockers and changing rooms at the top when you get out of the water. There is a bit of a walk to get back to the bus. I was dry by the time I got there. My wife took the backpack off the bus to finish toweling off and went to the changing room afterwards.

  7. I'm just curious. What are you suggesting? Please share your insight and knowledge about your thoughts.

There are 2 types of tender platforms.

There are some that fold into the hull, but do not have any opening into the ship. Rather, when the deploy the platform, built into the platform is a folding/retracting staircase that leads to a water-tight door higher up on the hull.

The other type does have an opening into the ship, and the platform itself when retracted/folded up is also the water-tight door. Passengers can walk right out to the platform without descending an outside staircase to get to the platform. Grand Princess has this type.
