Beware of the arcade. Spending restrictions might not be in effect there. I have heard of kids ringing up ridiculously high bills spending time in the arcade.

Thanks everyone. I figured it was something that they did in the past. We usually do the emed tests.
My question was that knowing that we get a certain amount of tests from the government monthly if we need - I was wondering if anyone got reimbursed that allowable amount towards the emed tests.I have no problem paying and will again, I was just curious because the emed site clearly says it’s covered by some insurance companies.
I was able to get reimbursed at the standard non proctored rate ($12 per test) for the Emed proctored tests. Saved me quite a bit of money. Now this was through regular commercial insurance not Medicare, so maybe there is a difference.

What the provider charges, and what insurance pays them are two very different numbers😉
I went back and checked what the payment was. The lab billed United Healthcare $300, then there was a $150 plan discount and the healthcare paid the lab $150 for the test. Due to federal rules I was not charged any deductible. I wonder how long that rule will last?

Our local county runs a very large free standing testing site at a local park. They can do over 275 rapid PCR tests each day. Recently they added a note to the booking site saying due to lack of federal funding they no longer accept the uninsured for testing. You must provide insurance and ID for testing. I noticed on my insurance billing site that they billed my healthcare company $300 for each test. No cost to us, and no impact on deductible, just cost the company a lot of money.

We used to put up a cardboard "Helena the Hawaiian Woman". She had a lot of accessories that we would change each day to match the port. Sunscreen, beach bag, sunglasses, evening purse, wine glass, beer, margarita .... you get the idea. One day we came back from a Mexican port and someone had peeled off a label from a local beer, brought it back to the ship and added it to our door! We don't bother with this anymore, but it is always fun to see what others do!

No matter who else is in your cabin, only the guest who is actually Diamond will receive the Diamond benefits. Non Diamond guests will not be allowed to accompany you to the Diamond lounge or get any of the coupons on their sea pass card.

Why start your vacation with this added stress? Take the bus the day before and relax overnight in a hotel near the port. Think of the hotel as a financial swap since you are not having to pay for parking,

49 cruises and have only seen a priest on one. If your cruise stops at a port on a Sunday you could always attend mass at a local church. We know a couple who always does this.

Here is a thought .... if RCI cannot secure enough staff to adequately provide the cruise experience people are paying for, then perhaps they should not be increasing their capacity until they can? Cruise prices are back to normal. You cannot sell a full price experience and expect people to just excuse major staffing issues. I totally understand WHY they are short staffed, but that is not the paying guests problem. Fill your ships to the level you have staff hired and give your guests the experience they expect.

That happened to me last week. Booked Voyager for 8 nights in June 2023 and got a great price on a junior suite. Went back the next day and the price increased by $550. Went back the next day and kept getting the 'opps' message. By the following day cruises were showing and the prices were back to where I had booked.

Just a reminder that to participate in Adventure Ocean your son must have already turned THREE years old by the first day of your cruise. Adventure Ocean is only available to cruisers who are three AND potty trained. If he is younger than three, you can pay to have him in the Royal Babies and Tots program. There is zero wiggle room on this.

I can't get a check in time for July 9th. Mariner either. I tried deleting my app and reinstalling but that did not help and there is no luck on the computer website either.

Perhaps the patient needs to be cared for on the trip from Jewel to shore?

Please remember that not ALL of the tests the government sent out were the iHealth brand! I received two different brands and neither of them were iHealth. People need to check their brands.

Please remember that not everyone received the iHealth brand of tests as their free government tests!
I placed both of my Government orders and neither one of them were the iHealth brand.
I wouldn't want people to be counting on doing this and then realize they don't have the needed test.

Never mind. I see from another post he is an adult. Hope he can join you!

Does anyone know if the CDC still has capacity rules for cruise ships anymore? I thought that those were no longer in effect, but certain RCI cruise reps are saying not to worry, no RCI ship is sailing with more than 65% - 70% capacity. Does this seem correct or are the reps just blowing smoke (as usual!).

I had 90 minutes of critical care last month aboard Jewel, and they immediately billed my sea pass card.
Total cost was $2200.
I received excellent, life saving care from the ship medical center.

At this point it is up to you whether you decide to just accept that you got a less than optimum outcome and move on to have a wonderful cruise, OR, you can spend your vacation complaining to all who will listen in the Diamond Lounge and stocking Michael Bailey. Personally when I look at what so many families have lost over the last two years, my being able to cruise - even in a one foot shorter balcony - makes me grateful. But that is just me.

So are there no shows in the theater at all, or just not the regular Jewel production shows? Are they still providing nightly entertainment?

Do you think these coffee machines are on all the ships JS and higher or just the newer ships. Going on Jewel in a JS and hubby would love getting his first coffee of the day without a trip to the Diamond Club.

Our Royal Up bid for a Junior Suite on Jewel for 3/12 was accepted today. First time we have had a chance to bid on a RU since we normally book through a travel agent who does not participate in the RU program. GS would have been great, but we are happy with the JS. I wonder if that extra $5 a person I added on made a difference?
