  1. We are thinking about taking the Star Pride next month out of San Juan. Some of the rooms have connecting doors and I know from other ships to stay away from them but the category we are looking out this is all that is available. Anyone ever stay in them and are they noisy? Here are the ports that we are going to. Can anyone tell me which are tender and which are docked? We are wanting to just go to a nice beach on each of the stops so wondering about the smaller islands if there will be taxis or do we need to do ship tours? Thought that I read that they serve complimentary beer or wine on this ship for meals but not finding that anywhere now, is this true? Last question, what is the approximate price of beer and rum punches.. Thanks in advance for the felp San Juan, Puerto Rico - 10:00 PM 2 Charlotte Amalie (St.Thomas), USVI 8:00 AM 10:00pm 3 Gustavia, St. Barthelemy 9:00 AM 10:00 PM 4 Little Bay, Montserrat 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 5 Philipsburg, St. Maarten 7:00 AM 10:00 PM 6 Jost Van Dyke, BVI 8:00 AM 11:59 PM 7 Virgin Gorda, BVI 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 8 San Juan, Puerto Rico San Juan, Puerto Rico - 7:00 PM 2 At Sea - - 3 St. Georges, Grenada 9:00 AM 10:00 PM 4 Bequia, Grenadines 8:00 AM 10:00 PM 5 Pigeon Island, Saint Lucia 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 6 Terre-de-Haut (Les Saintes), Guadeloupe 8:00 AM 5:00 PM 7 Philipsburg, St. Maarten 8:00 AM 2:00 PM 8 San Juan, Puerto Rico
  2. Yes it was a flat top.. Had that on the Summit too. No worries about getting off topic. Thanks to everyone that has responded about everything.
  3. Thx for the food info....when we were on the Millennium in Alaska and the Summit ..back in the day ..Jan. 2020.. In the evenings we would go to the aft buffet and they had chicken, minute steaks and fish that they would grill every evening. Also the steam tables would have some grilled vegetables and I can't recall what else but there were usually good options. I think they had salmon as well. I will miss that for sure.
  4. OH NO... That was the one thing that we really enjoyed about the buffet. Everything that was grilled back there was pretty good. We would also go back there every morning to get our omelets made there was ..never..a line. Please tell me they are they still making fresh to order omelets??
  5. Do they still have the grill at the very back of the buffet area where you can get grilled chicken, steak or fish?
  6. Thx for the food comments.. Sorry to hear that the food isn't up to par. Gosh that was 1 thing we were looking forward to in April. Last cruise on the Summit a few yrs ago food was decent.. not 5 star but better than Golden Corral. Hope they are still serving crispy bacon for breakfast or I will really be upset..lol. As long as I don't have to grocery shop, cook, or wash dishes I'm fairly easy to please food wise. Maybe I can drop a few pounds that would actually be a bonus.
  7. Thanks for the info...I loved the Summit crew. They were all amazing..great service ..great food..back in the day when Capt. Kate was running her it was the best trips ever
  8. Yes..ports on that 1 were great...just the beginning of covid..yikes who would think.. My Millennium trip in April will be the next cruise since 2020...can hardly wait...
  9. My friend and I love the port intensive Caribbean itineraries. I love waking up being on a different island everyday not a fan of sea days I get bored quickly. We fly out of Houston so easy peasy for us. Been on Summit at least 6 times. I think we were on the same trip with you January 2020 too.
  10. Great to hear that the Summit will be back in 24/25. Love Summit and Millennium...Whew..had me nervous ..
  11. I was looking to book a 7 night out of San Juan on the Millennium for Oct 2023. It appears that after April 2023 there are no more sailings from San Juan listed anywhere.
  12. I've stayed in 6030 and the balcony is huge. Does anyone know if the balcony cabin 7177 is as big as 6030. According to the deck plan it shows that 7177 is slightly larger but I was wondering how much bigger it actually is. Anyone stay in both of those rooms by chance?
  13. We were supposed to be on this cruise but had to cancel due to illness. Was wondering How Belize was since they just recently had a hurricane there. Were the Seas good? Hopefully so otherwise I would have been concerned since the ship was having propulsion issues. Do you know if there were any covid cases on board?
  14. We were supposed to be on this sailing and had to cancel due to illness. Was just wondering if someone who was on this sailing could post a review about the cruise and also the ports. Since we missed the trip would love to hear all about it. Was Belize damaged by the hurricane? Why was the ship late getting back to port??
  15. We were supposed to go there this week and a few weeks ago I called the Belize Tourist Bureau and they couldn't tell me when it would be open. You could try to give them another call and see if they know anymore than they did when I called. They have a toll free number 800 624 0686
  16. Is hurricane Lisa going to hit anywhere near here?
  17. Thanks so much for that info. I just emailed Island Marketing/Belize cruise excursions asking if they knew anything about the opening of the island and haven't heard back. Is that who you booked with? Hope I get a refund as well.
  18. Does anyone know if the island is open yet for tours?. Was supposed to open back up this month.
  19. Thanks ...... Couple more questions... How often do the water taxis run? Cost of the water taxi? How far from the cruise ship pier is Caye Caulker?
  20. I am arriving in Belize Nov 8 and am booked on the Goffs Caye trip but I understand that it is currently closed with it possibly reopening in early November (hopefully before we get there lol.) As a back up plan I need to know if there is a good beach close to the cruise ship port that you can do some snorkeling from shore. Please advise if there is and how to get there. Not wanting to snorkel from a boat trip because my husband is not a good swimmer and panics easily.
  21. Thanks so much for that. I will just do the 68.00 pkg. I did email them with questions about the tour and never heard back. We are going next month too. Guess I will book it and hope they show up to take us there. Under their reservation information it doesn't tell you what time to meet anyone Is it certain times that the boat takes you to and from their island?
  22. Has anyone been there recently? I was looking at booking the discovery package for 68.00 or the full island pkg for 98.00 which includes 2 drinks and lunch (includes a few other things but we won't use them). Is it worth the extra money for the drinks and lunch or is it better to do Pay as you go. I saw the menu from a few years ago and it looks rather pricey.
