  1. We missed our afternoon snack yesterday due to a bout of mal-du-mer. Our butler overcompensated today. Rob
  2. Deck party sailaway. The rum punch flowed freely. Builders plate pic attached. No particular reason. Cheers! Rob
  3. The pool is refilling! Will be a necessity during the transit tomorrow.
  4. Disappointed that the pool is empty and closed today. Harbor water too polluted to use, I was told. Pool will be refilled starting 4pm after we sail today. The jacuzzi’s are open, but it’s like 100-degree-in-the-shade today, so that’s not a refreshing option. 🥲 Rob
  5. Re: gin samplers. Our butler informed us that the gin sampler program ended on 1/18/24. We continue to receive samples because we are b2b holdovers from the previous cruise and our butler knows we are enjoying the samples. Full sized bottles are available in your cabin; just inform your butler of your preference. Rob
  6. Cartagena. Two containers unloading supplies. Hot. Steamy. Tropical. But no rocking and rolling! Rob
  7. Todays menu and Reflections. 79CFE4B0-6891-4D77-85DC-5C4911060ACC.pdf 6DC2F788-A707-4263-9CEF-95DEAEE9C69E.pdf
  8. It was a rough ride today. First time in over 10 years I had to move the liquor bottles to the sofa. The Cabernet was 4” away from christening the carpet. We’re safely docked in Cartagena and the off duty crew are streaming down the gangway like ants heading to the sugar cube! Rob
  9. Enroute to Cartagena. 40 knot winds. Force 8. It’s a bumpy ride today. Captain’s noon announcement said it will get worse before it gets better. We’re speeding along at 20+ knots in order to arrive in Cartagena tonight and expect to be docked by 10:00pm. This is to give both passengers and crew a peaceful sleep tonight, instead of another night of rocking and rolling. Rob

  11. The carpaccio is on the Waterside menu for tomorrow.
  12. I believe it may be a supply chain issue. I understand some provision containers didn’t make the ship in Miami. They’re hoping to catch up in Cartagena.
  13. The menu changed again. Here’s the current menu. Rob F2E79392-8472-44D3-9A58-9D5235CD6FA4.pdf
  14. The carpaccio is off the menu at OO. Didn’t last very long (like 4-5 days). Current menu attached. Rob F2E79392-8472-44D3-9A58-9D5235CD6FA4.pdf
  15. Dwight, even on the last cruise with Mark Farris in attendance, the crowd was very sparse until about 9:15p. His pre-dinner 6:30-7:15p set was also a 50/50 guess on attendance. Rob
  16. On the contrary. You must be there on the “early shift”. It has been quite lively after 11p to closing. And well attended during the pre-dinner 6-7:15p set. Parallel universes. lol. Rob
  17. Today’s menus and Reflections. We were supposed to be in Grand Cayman today, but the medical emergency diversion caused the port stop to be canceled. So it’s a sea day and the activities have been adjusted accordingly. Rob CAEC30FB-4C05-4DC6-AB1D-3B71B7BEFA1A.pdf 03D55D09-364A-42C0-90B5-365C35CF70B3.pdf 3D071DD4-0658-4970-8693-B7287F0B198B.pdf
  18. The ship stopped about 6-8 miles or so offshore Key West. A US Coast Guard cutter tied up next to the ship and the patient was transferred to the cutter. We’re back on our way to Cartagena now. The captain made a PA announcement that the crew member was transferred to a hospital and is stabilized. Stuff happens. Rob
  19. Captain just announced a medical emergency for a crew member. We are now diverting to Key West. Due to the diversion, our call to Grand Cayman tomorrow has been canceled. Key West arrival in about 4 hours. Rob
  20. Reflections and menus attached. Great day. Sooooo many Crystal friends, sailors and WC’s onboard. The amount of provisions loaded today in Miami was impressive. Truck after truck after truck of produce, liquor, parts and pieces. Rob 1A50CF2A-7D2E-491B-A215-23156134BAED.pdf F8BCDCA3-4DD8-42B6-BD7D-4B1F6AECDC0B.pdf 404C5FB2-9397-4472-B5AD-B82DBC7EA43F.pdf
  21. We’re waiting for the ship to clear. Then we can return onboard. Here’s the waiting room on Pier E for those boarding today. Rob
