So I have called twice to see if they'd give me the other 5k. They moved the bonus back to 25k the day after I applied and my NCL app was actually always showing the 25k even though I knew it had dropped to 20k for a few months. I don't think I've ever had worse customer service than BofA. First the 10+ minutes of extremely frustrating IVR prompts (having to confirm repeatedly with different buttons that you want to continue holding?!) followed by a 30 minute hold. Then getting lied to repeatedly - saying it had to be NCL purchases in order get any sign up bonus, etc. Then she said she didn't have the authority. I ask for a supervisor that does and she actually had the nerve to try to come back on talking slightly louder pretending to be the supervisor. I really was excited to use the 30-60k for an upgrade, but I'm tempted to cash out for OBC and dump this horrible card for a proper travel card with decent support.

Man, I pulled the trigger and applied last month to get the 20k points offer. I just clicked through the ad on the NCL app and it looks like they're offering the 25k again (of course). I wonder if my chances of calling and getting the extra 5k would be zero. haha

I'm looking at the whale watching options for Juneau and it looks like there's a 2:45pm Mendenhall/Whale combo and the 4:45pm "Evening" version that's 30 minutes shorter and $30 cheaper p/p. Did you have any issue with the Mendenhall visitor center hours or lighting on the evening tour or know if it's a different boat/etc? Leaning toward the evening one to leave plenty of time before.

It's showing both a 5.5 hr Mendenhall/Whale tour starting at 2:45pm and a 5 hr Mendenhall/Evening Whale tour starting at 4:45 pm that's a little cheaper. It sounds like you booked the first one but ended up being out at the same time as the evening tour. Did you have any issues with the Mendenhall visitor center closing or lighting for the whales that late in the day? I may just do the cheaper one.

I know you all have no way of knowing for sure, but for those of you with years of experience and multiple cards, what do you think the chances of the 25k bonus coming back this year are? Is that something that comes and goes or has it never been that high? I just don't want to wait and it go down instead of up. 😄
