  1. David, Dee & Natalie:

Not long now...... no doubt we all need a fun, yet relaxing cruise away!

I hope to catch up with you all.

Im in cabin #11832, and we can always leave phone messages for each other to meet up with a where and time.

    Scot

Only 16 days until I'm in Miami. Can't wait especially with this snow storm we're suppose to be getting this weekend. 2-3 feet. Better this weekend then when I leave, eh? haha

I'll be in room 12539. I also plan on getting the iConcierge app. I've used it before and it's pretty handy for texting and phoning others with the app without having to go back to the stateroom. :D

  2. We're flying in the day before, and booked a hotel (can't remember which one!) Both of us are terrified of missing the ship, so we've never chanced arriving that morning. One traffic jam or late flight and you get left behind on the dock.

We had a close call last year with a medical issue - we had to stop at an urgent care centre the morning of the cruise, and with all the delays with waiting for the doctor and whatnot, we weren't released until almost 1pm and still had to get to the port. We'd even called our travel agent to see if she could let them know that we were on our way and to PLEASE not sail without us! We were the last ones on board, and needed several drinks to recover from the stress of racing across Miami.

    Nope... not doing that again!

Davy, want us to harangue your travel partner to come the day before? ;) Have they cruised before?

HA!!! I was able to talk her into coming in the day before. We're taking an afternoon flight to Ft. Lauderdale. We won't be checked in to our hotel until around 8. We're staying at the Intercontinental. Love that place. :-)

  3. I'm free to do what I want on any ol' cruise. :p However, I'm sticking to NCL for 2016. I love the commercial and the way NCL incorporated Pitbull and the Escape. Nice job NCL!! :D

  4. Thanks, DavyB :)

Have you found that there's much participation in the FOD meetings on the cruises you've been on (have you ever gone?) We aren't new to cruising, but we are a bit unfamiliar cruising as an out couple. We'd just like to meet up with some people that are up for a few laughs, and the size of this ship makes it hard to know where to start, you know?

On my NCL sailings all of the FOD meetings have been well attended the first couple of days. They seem to die out as the week goes on. I'm assuming people meet who they want to hang out with and go from there. Anyway, I will be there with two other gay friends and one straight ally. Hope you decide to come.

  5. We are! I looked for a Roll Call but didn't find one.

    Want to start one? :)

    :D:D:D

Hey DeeandNatalie - Here is the link to the roll call.http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2020985

I'm looking forward to meeting you all on the 6th!!

  6. I noticed that your first cruise was on Celebrity Zenith. Our first was on her sister Celebrity Horizon. That ship is responsible for this unending drain on my bank account that has been going on ever since I set foot on that ship.

HA!! The Zenith definitely started it. But who's complaining. I hate that feeling I get on the next to last day of the cruise when I have to pack up and then that horrible feeling I get when its time to go back home.

  7. Thank you both for your responses, very helpful!

Davy, could I ask you what you think the approx age range or average age there since you were there several nights? What kind of music did they play? And was there a good mix of guys/girls and people dancing?

Sorry for all the questions, probably booking today and still can't completely decide!!

There was a good mix of people at the parties at Spice, guys/girls, all ages, etc... They play current popular dance mixes of top 40 songs. There were people dancing and drinking all night long The average age was probably late 30's.

I always seemed to end up at the Skyline bar. It was not that crowded the first couple nights but after that it seemed like the place to be late at night.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    David

  8. Thanks so much again for all your replies, it really helps!

Can anyone give me a review of the Glow party or nightly Spice H20 parties who has been? Lots of kids, is it fun? Ppl are drinking/dancing?

Other than that it seems there's no real venue to drink/dance to a DJ, correct?

    Thanks!!!

I had fun at all the parties held at Spice H2O but I was with a group of people I went with and some that I had met on the ship. I was out until at least 2 most nights with plenty to do. Some nights there was dancing going on at the Skyline bar.

I think you will be fine with the night life. You may have to search for it but I don't think it'll be hard to find.

    Have a blast!!

  9. Btw, I still do think ES has larger balconies than BA/GA;

Not the best angle and pic but..

    kspzd.png

They bump out a bit after the bridge where BA/GA are straight.

I think you're absolutely right. It could be the angle of the picture, however, if you look at the balcony from underneath, the ES balconies looks more square, and the BA balconies looks more rectangle. Does that make sense?

  10. We sure have been quiet. Final payment is right around the corner. Has anyone booked dinner or shows yet? So far I've booked Cagneys with my group and then Million Dollar Quarter on Monday of our cruise and After Midnight on Thursday of our cruise.
