Just bringing this thread alive again to see if anyone has stayed in either 9136 or 9736 on the Breakaway or Getaway.
-
I was on the Labor Day week sailing on the Breakaway and the attendance to the FOD meetings was the best I've seen on any cruise I've been on. I met some great people that week.
-
Anyone joining me for this cruise?
-
I may be. I'll find out tomorrow.
-
I know it's a long shot but has anyone stayed in either 9176 or 9376 on the Breakaway? I have them both booked for a cruise on the Getaway. They were originally a category B6 but have been changed to a BD. I was wondering what you could tell me about these rooms, i.e. a larger room, balcony, etc...
Thanks,
David

OK, I'll bite. :D I'm running a slot pull for my CC group and I've created a spreadsheet. However, I would love to see the one you created. Could you please share your spreadsheet? dmeekins528@comcast.net
Thanks in Advance Ann!!

I will be cruise solo (first time solo but 5 cruises before) on NCL Breakaway but on a different date (9/22). Please share your experience and any tips for an enjoyable experience when you come back. Thank you.
Joseph - You will have a great time. A bunch of cruise friends that I met a couple years ago on the Epic will be on this cruise and are staying in the studios. They were a lot of fun.

Good news. The Explorer's Drydock has been moved up to Feb. 2014.
Check again. Unless my eyes are failing me, the drydock schedule says the Explorer is scheduled for February of 2015.

62 for the Explorer of the Seas
142 for the Norwegian Breakaway
232 for the Celebrity Reflection
CAN'T WAIT FOR ALL OF THEM...all for different reasons!!

I and my BF are going.
Btw did you receive a confirmation of the beverage package yet?
I haven't and neither have I received a booking confirmation from PP.
I haven't received any confirmation from Pied Piper regarding my booking or beverage package. However, when I log in to Celebrity's web site and pull up my reservation, the beverage package is there.
I've also emailed Derek about this last week. When I hear something back, I'll let you guys know.

I read that you can only purchase ONE drink at a time... how strict are they with this rule? I'm just thinking that between my husband and I, we would jointly share the responsibility of getting drinks. I may go to the bar once and get a cocktail and him a beer (2 drinks).... then the next time, he would go and get 2 drinks (his beer and my cocktail) and vice versa.... That way someone could be sitting with our stuff if we were at the pool or in another area of the ship.
When I cruise on the Allure back in November, my roommate and I both had the package. We would take turns getting drinks for each other. We just needed both of our sea pass cards to order two drinks.
There were also groups that would collect everyones sea pass cards to get a round of drinks.

Chrystal,
What a wonderful review. I was in the middle of your review of the Allure, since I'm sailing her in a month, but had to come over to this review because everyone kept talking about it. I'm so glad I did. You have a way with words and such a positive outlook on everything. Kudos to you young lady. :) As I was going through your review, I was laughing with you and reminiscing of my Liberty cruise. She's such a great ship. One of my favorite pics was the one of Crystal when you told her she had to get off the ship tomorrow. I've had that horrible depressed feeling on everyone of my cruises. As horrible as it feels, I hope it continues. The day I don't have that feeling is probably the day I stop cruising.
Thanks again and good luck with the new addition. You and Wes are going to be wonderful parents.

Baltimore's Inner Harbor ...
I've lived in the Baltimore area for almost 45 years and I have to say that this picture of the harbor is the best I've seen.
-
The balcony next door - cabin 8666 ...
NICE!! This is my balcony for my cruise on 3/31.
BTW - You have some of the best pictures I've ever seen. I'm looking forward to more. :-)

This is a great thread. I can't wait to report back on my RFS on the Enchantment.
-
Cabin 9020 is fully covered and has part of the steel hull on one side of the balcony:
90244, which is next door has a small portion of the balcony uncovered & 9026 the next one down has about half the balcony uncovered.
Thanks!!! See ya in a few 12 days!!! :D

OK, I'm loving this thread and because of this thread, my daughter talked me into switching from large balcony 10201 to large balcony 9020. If I figured it out right, 9020 is the first unsheltered balcony. Can anyone verify? If not, my daughter will be in deep poop...unless I can go back to 10201. :D

I watched that episode, though it was online - where the feed was start/stop... I have not checked recently, but I know initially it was in Canada only for some reason.
HERE is a link, where you'll find the show - in a couple of different formats.
If anyone else has another link - please post it! :)
Tom
Thanks for the link Tom!! I've been waiting to see this show for months!!

Hi, great review there.
I'm on the Epic Transatlantic sailing from Barcelona on Oct 23rd 2011 to Miami.
Question: Although I'm travelling solo, I'm in a balcony stateroom, not a solo one. Can I still have access to the lounge, to meet other solo travellers, or is this not allowed?
cheers
Drew
Drew - You will be able to attend the daily solo gatherings in the "living room" since they open the solo gatherings up to everyone on board. Natalie Hammond does a fantastic job with this group. Have a great cruise.

I took a taxi from the port to the airport back in April and the price is now upa buck to $25 plus tip...

Ridin’ Solo – An EPIC Spring Break Review!
At night there is a bartender available and a happy hour coinciding with a social for singles hosted by a fabulous woman named Natalie Hammond. Without her help and some others who will be mentioned later, this week would not have flowed smoothly and nor would I have met any of the people who are now friends for life!
Natalie was the best ever. Absolutely amazing. I told her she should be the next cruise director if Paul leaves. ;) She's currently on Holiday back in Australia but will be coming back to the Epic. I can't wait to see her again in November.

That makes perfect sense and kudos to NCL for sticking to this policy. I'm sure they have saved themselves many issues.
Anyway, cruise has been booked with 3 of us in a large balcony. If they get on my nerves, I can head out to my large balcony. haha just kidding, my kids would never get on my nerves. ;-)
-
As of now there are just the 3 of us but may be 4 of us traveling and I would like the extra room instead of being cramped. However, with the sale going on today, I wanted to take advantage of that. Looks like I will book one room and then if my 4th decides to go, then I will add a room later with one adult in each room.
Thanks for the heads up and happy cruising. :p

haha, yeah, that's what I'm trying to find out. They look like they could be B6's but are labeled as BD's. Guess I'll find out in May. ;-)
