  1. I purchased my cruise, Cruise Only at a great price. then I added HIA via Manage My Cruise @ $55/day. I hope to upgrade the drink package to Elite when I board.
  2. Curious if anyone else in the Queer community might be on this sailing? First solo cruise but not looking for a week of silence and solitude.
  3. No, though many companies selling group space market it as a "Post-Thanksgiving cruise" realizing that many people like to be home with family for the holidays and this occurs immediately after. Overall I don't think I've ever noticed even a Thanksgiving week cruise to really be labeled as a Holiday cruise as it's very particular to Americans only and since these are international sailings many may not be aware. Christmas and New Year's is different for obvious reasons.
  4. So if I may I have another question, on my last RC cruise in Feb 24 on the Explorer I could make a reservation and prepay for dinner in Chops & Giovanni's. Currently on the RC app or website in Dining under Manage My Cruise it is only offering the options to book a package, Ultimate, 3-Night and Chops+1 but nothing individually. Next time you can, please check to see if you're finding the same thing? thanks so much.
  5. Do you have any idea of the prices of each restaurant if you don't purchase the package? I just looked on CC but the pricing they are showing seems very outdated ($35 for dinner for Chops, I think we paid that for lunch at Chops on the Explorer in February).
  6. Carnival's newest XL class ship that debuted in December 2023 has been named the Jubilee, I have no need for posts from 1986, thanks for your insights.
  7. What??? I'm talking about when you come into the Carnival Cruise Forum at the top there is a query method to just see posted related to the ship you are sailing on, it lists all of them in a drop down with the exception of the Jubilee.
  8. Any idea how much the taxi's are from the cruise ship pier to Paradise Beach?
  9. Which pier does the Carnival Jubilee dock at in Cozumel?
  10. Sailed her 2/4/24-2/9/24 found the ship to be in great condition. Very clean and well kept with no terrible signs of rust. There were a few chairs in Studio B that were broken as they were fold-downs and they kept going down to the point you could slide off of it. Sadly the cupholders in the main show lounge serve no purpose as the glasses used now will not fit in them. Food was better than expected, Chops and Giovanni's were excellent and Johnny Rockets was fun too. I heard the ice cream from the soft serve dispensers wasn't good but didn't try any myself. The Promenade Cafe is a life savor for late night eats but it gets BUSY. Show's were not media productions as found on new ships, the true stars are the ship's singers and dancers the backdrops are meh. Sadly I wasn't impressed with the comedian on our sailing or the piano player in the Schooner bar but that is a subjective opinion.
  11. I know that both "specialties" are included at this point but I've heard on a YouTube review I cannot find now that if you have an assigned dining time you cannot make a reservation before a certain time. Is this true? Is that just if you try to book it on the app while onboard? What if you just show up and ask to be seated? I realize other ships have these restaurants but I am speaking specifically to the Jubilee as it's new and the dining for the first year or so may be a bit different than other similar ships.
  12. Makes me excited and happy to be going on the new Carnival Jubilee in May, food videos on YouTube look GREAT!
  13. 17 Days until we sail. Is everyone excited? Here in the northeast we've been having lots of snow lately, I hope it doesn't impact any travel. I'm heading to florida a few days before we sail to celebrate and be there early.
  14. Booked and looking forward to this ship!
  15. I believe the maiden voyage of the Jubilee embarks from Galveston today, wishing everyone a safe and lovely cruise! Please report back with all the details! Super excited to be sailing her in May 2024!
  16. Not sure but what's the thinking? Would the Royal Night happen on a 5 night sailing? This dinner menu includes Maine Lobster Tail (not at an extra charge). https://eatsleepcruise.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Royal_Main_Dinner_Royal_Night_6.pdf Thoughts/Experience? Thanks
  17. Still cheaper than Royal Caribbean that is as much as $89.99pppd before gratuity!
  18. They did install some water slides on it's last drydock: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/02/27/royal-caribbean-adds-water-slides-explorer-of-the-seas
