Indeed been on ye olde Star Ferry, Kowloon/HK Island. Interesting fellow pax on that one.
Hope it wasn't me Uncle Les.:o
-
I have a good one ferries in Hong Kong are free for seniors only one draw

I don't know anybody else who drinks this but probably my favorite "breakfast drink" is Pernod and Orange Juice. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. I love that drink. :) I know I was able to get it on one Princess ship - might have been the Star. I don't suppose every bar onboard actually has Pernod but some bar must have it and I intend to locate Pernod on my upcoming cruise.
If anybody knows which bars onboard Star have Pernod I'd appreciate knowing which ones. I may have to go to Vista to find it - they seem to have a pretty complete stock of liquor.
I am a pernod drinker too, I have it with coke orange juice is a new one on
me, might try it on my next cruise, love pernod not so keen on ouzo.;);)

Could be an urban myth, but I once heard that a little old grannie lost her knitting needles.
Yes they will take knitting needles off you and I had a friend who put
two lighters in the tray and they took one off her, don't know whether
they thought she could start a bomb or what?:confused:

We might as well be overseas the amount we have to pay sometimes
to get out of the state.
-
Silly question, but does someone need a passport if they stay on the ship while it is in port.
Afraid so you can't board any ship unless you have a passport maybe if
you were doing a coastal it would be alright. Don't need one on the
Spirit of Tasmania!!
-
We did 4 Pacific cruises from 1978 to 1984 with 4 children in tow with
not a passport between us it was a cheap holiday for us as usually
the airfares were included and less than half price for the children
in fact we took the last daughter at 4 months and she was free.:D:D

Spitting chips as I am already booked on this one.

Got to blame something daylight saving will do.:o

Dawn Princess passengers had a very wet welcome to Burnie today,
we havn't had much rain for weeks but it has bucketed it down and is
a tad chilly too.:D:D
-
It will certainly service all the Victorians much better having the ship based there.:D
And us Tassies one plane instead of two from the north west, what bliss.;);)
-
I would book the hire car before the cruise as Burnie is not a big city.
-
I reckon we should all go to Sxxx Savers................I want a pair of those glasses that can read the small print - you know - the bit that says "except me":D (I'm full of mischief tonight ;))
Just what were you drinking last night Dizzy?;);)
-
Well said, mate! Ship the little girls Downunder! Just the right size for the "Apple Isle"!!!
Yes pretty please. :D:D

Wow the Aspen sounds good, do they make it on Princess?:D:D

I don't pay out $1 dollar out on a cruise before I purchase travel insurance.
A few years ago DH became ill on a round Australia New Zealand cruise from
Sydney we were one day out of Melbourne and he was hospitalised on board.
One night $5000, Ambulance to hospital ashore $1000, they wouldn't pay
for my accommodation at a hotel, but they did pay the airfares back to
Tasmania and they did pay for the 13 nights we didn't finish.:):)
-
In 2012 we had an upgrade from inside to ocean view deluxe on Princess.
Boy did I do a happy dance round the lounge room.:D:D

We were on the Sun last Oct/Nov when we had to clear out our stuff from the shower cubicle for the dispensers to be installed.
Karryl
Thank you sewgood for answering my question, I will now add soap to
my packing list, always take my own shampoo but really don't like the
dispensers.:)
-
Can someone who has been on the Sun Princess recently tell me whether
it's gone to the dispenser thingy in the shower that's supposedly soap and
shampoo, ugh??
-
That is a Dad's joke, I am not sure you are licensed to tell them, Awesome girl:p.
Oh dear back in my box, but you know these Tassies like to put their foot
in it.

And for some of you from USA "Jumper" translation is a Sweater;)
A jumper was originally made from pure wool, wool comes from a sheep, sheep jump a lot so "A Woolly Jumper" to modern day "jumper" :D:D:D
A kangaroo crossed with a sheep gives you a woolly jumper too.:confused:
-
I would also consider P&O if they had longer cruises, we need to do the
longer ones to make it worth our while crossing Bass Strait to go anywhere
North.:D
Sun Princess Rip off
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Sun Princess has been cruising out of Asia for a while, the crew will have
to adjust to the Australian system where there are no gratuities on the
account. Hope it is all sorted before we go on her at the end of November.
