  1. I am just back from Queen Elizabeth and can confirm there was hot milk available in the Lido but only at night.

    Thank you

I was hoping I could buy/get it at the coffee lounge ?

  2. Ukellie - at first, I thought you were trolling. I think flip flops should be censored out of CC posts, like all the naughty words. F*** f**** and shorts aren't allowed in the MDR after 6.

There are no formal nights, but most guests put some extra effort to look nice on Chic Nights. What do you wear if you go out to a nice restaurant at home? Wear that. Or wear tux and gown, if you wish.

I have no idea what a troll is and can assure you all the question was a serious one or I thought it was

  3. please could recent celebrity cruisers advise if the dress code has been changed ?

Ie that there is no longer any dress code and passengers can and do go to the dining rooms for dinner in flip flop and shorts ?

We have sailed with celebrity previously but have just been told that there is no longer a dress code policy.

Personally if this is true I think it’s a shame

    Welcome your thoughts and comments

    Thank you

  4. I struggle to understand why cruise line rules differ from country to country i.e. In uk if there is a price drop before final payment we have to cancel loose deposit and re book ( I think princess allows you to do this but charge £100 )

In the USA you can re book and not loose deposit and get the cheaper price - is there any logic ☹️

  5. Hi ukellie,

My understanding in QG last November/December was that the contents of the mini bar (and extra bottles provided) were for in-suite consumption.

I purchased wine for dinner in the restaurant as usual. There was absolutely no need for me to take wine from my cabin to have with meals.

Enjoy your sailing with Cunard and your Queens Grill suite and restaurant. Photographs of my Q5 Suite (on Queen Mary 2, I think you're on Queen Elizabeth?) can be found towards the beginning of this album: www.flickr.com/photos/pepperrn/albums/72157676774009275

    Bon Voyage.

    Thank you

Just checked your pics looks lovely

we are in q6 onQE looking forward to a different experience

    🌞🚢

  6. The "free" mini-bar is only in Queen's Grill. Everything in the fridge plus, as mentioned previously, the two bottles which your butler will deliver is free. In Princess Grill, everything in the mini-bar, except bottled water, will be charged.

I have never brought anything from the Queen's Grill offerings to the dining room, but a few times I have brought Champagne which was sent to us as a gift ordered through Cunard. We were not charged corkage.

I think I have misread threads, I thought you could request your preferences for the minibar to be stocked

    Thanks for the info 😀

  7. hi all, I am new to cunard and grills

I have a question about how we can use the drinks in the mini bar

Can we take a bottle of the wine to the dining room ?

    Thank you

    Ellie :)

  8. I've booked a cruise on the Golden Princess about 2 weeks ago through a TA.

I've just looked at this cruise on Princess's own website and now they're offering $350 OBC if I booked now.

Does anyone know if I would be able to get that OBC retrospectively or is it just a case of - tough you booked when you did !!!!

Hi I am from the uk, my TA told me that we can change our booking ONCE only for a admin charge of £100

I guess you have to think is the additional OBC worth it?

I would rather see if the cruise price drops :)

  9. Not sure if you made a decision, but my answer would be yes, upgrade. I would take upgrade without the drinks package. This is a perfect cruise to have a balcony- it will be very crowded and it would be nice to have private outdoor space. The drink package seals the deal. If it isn't too late, grab this upgrade, but I agree, you shouldn't lose the deposit on a same ship upgrade. I'd call Celebrity myself, and if that doesn't work, write a letter. You have plenty of time to sort this out. And they could give you some on board credit, even if they continue to say no. Good luck.

Yes I did upgrade to an E3 cabin and with a lot of bartering with my TA finally pd £1000 more plus loss of deposit so pleased with that - looking forward to the new gadgets :):):):)

  10. Firstly you should not be losing your deposit to upgrade your cabin to the same cruse , second you are paying top dollar as this is a new ship , third the 1500 for the upgrade is not a bad price as the drinks package alone is $55 a day per person .

Just checked some prices and you could do a BTB on Equinox same time for £4800 ov cabin but that gives you a drinks package .

So back to your TA if they insist that you will loose your deposit get hold of Celebrity direct and sort it with them.

Just a small tip i am from the uk but for last 6 years i have book with american Ta as you dont loose any deposit if cancel before the final payment and the service is better.

    good luck Phil

Thanks for that info I did try to just upgrade without loosing deposit but no way hosay - I would be really interested to know how to book using a TA in the states my email is 1961ellie@gmail.com

I have just checked a booking I have with cunard nearly £1000 cheaper but paid a huge deposit and it's now a guaranteed cabin ☹️

Thanks for alternative info but one of my bucket list is a brand new ship so that comes with a price

Once again your response is much appreciated 😁

  11. does that include flights , hotel , ect and is your 1500 total or each ?

I wish nope cruise only - £1500 is total to upgrade from inside to highest balcony cabin and includes the £300 I will loose on deposit

  12. advice please from you seasoned cruisers

We are currently on b2b over Xmas new year (14 night) inside cabin, original total cost was apox £5550 incl grats ( inside cabin)

To upgrade to balcony 1A including drinks package and grats is an additional £1500 - good deal or not ( that includes loss of current deposit) :):)

  13. I will see if I can get a pic of Pacific 8034. Any specific questions before I go find it? I am on there now!

Hi weather it's a good location. (I guess that will be your opinion ) likely to get a lot of traffic down the corridor - we are just moving into inside cabins so hoping we haven't made a mistake - we like the sanctuary on other princess ships, but understand not available on the Pacific

Any info about the improvements of the refit would be nice

    Thank you Ellie
