  1. Yes, you must use on the trip you got it with, Its always worth looking for birthday/Christmas perfume type gifts in the shops? Makeup to stock up on also an option?

    Thanks good suggestion :)

  2. Hi all I have tried a quick search but couldn't find the answer so apologises if I have missed it

We are doing a cruise late October with quite a sizeable OBC if we don't use it all can I ask that it be transferred to our next cruise 6 weeks later - thank you :)

  3. Hi

Just to confirm that the £100 change fee is an official Princess charge - introduced about a year ago. And you can only do this once. It is treated as a cancellation and then a new booking. For UK cruisers it is worth bearing in mind that the exchange rate has worsened over the last year (currently $1.25 to £1) so costs for pre-paying gratuities, drinks packages, OBC etc may be higher under a new booking.

Thanks for that info - well worth watching to see if there is a signifanct drop or offers become available 😁

  4. Got to ask the question why does it cost UK customers £100 to change the booking when the price of a cruise lowers.

USA customers can change booking for FREE!!!!!!! WHY?

Wow, I guess this will start a debate if it does cost £100 to change, or us it my TA making a bit of money - interested to read other cruisers experiences

  5. Hi Ellie,

It's worth a try we had a cruise on Crown a few years ago where the price dropped with an offer and I phoned Princess (I'd booked that one independently) and they reduced our cabin by £1000 I have currently asked our TA to look into whether we can get the current OBC offer for a cruise we've booked for Sept 2018.

    Good luck :)

Hi thanks for that let us know if you are successful with the OBC :)

  6. Hi fellow U.K. princess cruisers

We have two cruises booked with princess, one of which is in April 2019, my TA said that if I see a significant price drop or sip and sail offer, for £100 ( a one time offer) I can cash in on the offers, and the drop in price currently on offer

Has anyone done this and is it as easy as that

    Thank you

    Ellie :)

The Pacific has a small area in the front of the ship when you walk through the spa that has the old wooden deck chairs they used to have on the suite balconies.

When we sailed on her you could buy a cruise pass to sit up there.

It wasn't terribly expensive so we did it.

It really is nothing like the Sanctuary - just a very quiet area (although to be honest, the main pool area on these small ships is never overcrowded or very loud).

There is no pool butler service and no thick loungers.

There were the same 3 couples up there for our whole cruise so we did end up meeting some REALLY nice people and it was lovely to be able to see where we were sailing through the glass wind break.

No International Buffet - if that's what you mean by the coffee shop area.

However, all of this is subject to change as she is currently in dry dock for a big refurbishment - stay tuned!

Thank you that's really helpful the plaza I think is where the coffee bars are

    Ellie

  8. Hello Norine. You will love the Pacific Princess. My previous 10 Princess cruises have been on the bigger ships. I can honestly say that after sailing on the Pacific Princess, I now have a new favorite ship......:):):)

Hi loving your review, thanks for taking the time to write your review - I have a couple of questions

We have started booking inside cabins and going to spend our time in the sanctuary

I know Pacific dosent have the sanctuary, is there something similar.? (we are doing a transatlantic)

Does the Pacific have the coffee shop area ?

Enjoy the rest of your holiday

    Ellie :)

  9. Hi fellow U.K. cruisers - we are thinking of going to the nec cruise show in September

We are looking to book a South Pacific cruise on golden princess in may 2019 25th wedding Ann

Has anyone had experience of getting excellent deals at the show i.e. Is it worth us waiting to book at the cruise show ?

    Thanks

  10. Having had a Suite on every P&O ship I would say it depends on what you expect.

They vary in size tremendously, but all have the same facilities.

Aurora's are the best in my opinion, especially the penthouses and side ones. Adonia's Penthouses were also extremely large, but she is not on the agenda at the moment. Arcadia's side ones are large (& my favourite) but the bedroom and lounge area is all one room - you don't have a curtain even to separate them. The aft one's are lovely, but smaller inside, but their balconies are wonderful! Oceana's are very nice, especially the balconies which are large and extremely private. Azura's are very nice, but I would only go for an aft one as the side one's have a huge overhang above them; I would not consider the front ones. Britannia's are nice and very modern in comparison to the others, but they are certainly the smallest inside, and the side ones have much much smaller balconies (in depth) compared to all the others.

Other than size, the amenities etc are the same.

They do all offer Butler service of course. We use a Butler all the time, but not everyone likes them. If you felt you would not use one that much then maybe a Suite would not be worth the extra money.

There are a number of things that having a Suite will give you, however, that ordinary cabins don't.

    A Butler!

Priority Embarkation - you will always get given a 12:30pm boarding time.

    Priority tickets for the tenders

CD player (not on all ships though)

    Coffee Machine

    Fruit replenished regularly

A jacuzzi bath & separate shower

Priority for the size of table you request in a Club dining restaurant

Your Butler will be able to speak to the Select Dining restaurants to get you a table

Priority disembarkation - you can get off when you wish

Wine list and Restaurant menus provided in your Suite

The Butler will bring you the Britain Today newspaper

In-Suite dining for lunch and dinner

Hot breakfast brought to your Suite

Separate breakfast location if not eating it in your Suite

For us, these things certainly do warrant paying more, but you may not agree.

Any other questions do please ask.

    Happy Cruising! :)

Hi we are thinking about a suite on Britannia - within the price do you get any drinks in your cabin i.e. Soft drinks, wine etc, I cannot find anything that mentions drinks, we are going on Cunard and the fridge is kept stocked daily with whatever is your preference 🙂

  11. Hi Pacific princess cruisers, we are looking forward to our first cruise on Pacific, we have done other cruises on the bigger ships, and enjoyed the sanctuary, is there a sanctuary type area on the Pacific - I cannot see anything on the deck plans - thank you :)

  12. I confirm. Just watch the pricing/offers.

We've booked and rebooked several times to take advantage of better fare/promos.

Thanks - if you rebook do you loose your deposit? - I guess if you do its waying up new price and benfits against lost deposit

  13. I know this is probably a daft question, but been told many times there are no daft questions - so here goes been on princess a couple of times and be able to take up good offers i.e., OBC, drinks package etc well just found a great holiday we went to do which includes a transatlantic from Rome Dec 18, but guess what no current offers on - has anyone been watching over the years and has ideas on often the offers come on - knowing my luck I book today and princess bring out there offer tomorrow - this cruise links up with a carribean cruise that we have already booked - gut is I will just have to get booked and miss out, but thought if anyone had any thoughts I would put it out there, thank you :)

  14. Looking at cabins aft of deck 8 and deck 4 on queen Elizabeth

Concerns being below the pool will this cause any noise issues on deck 8

Concerns above theatre on deck 4 will thus cause any noise issues

    Any advice appreciated

Urgent response required cabins on hold for 1 hour

    Thank you

  15. I stayed in 1069 last year on a cruise with my girlfriends. I occupied the stateroom as a solo and was pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness . There was a sofa, chair, stacks of wardrobe and drawer space. There are very useful drawers under the bed.The bathroom was a tad on the small side but adequate. I found the location quiet and very convenient for the Grand Lobby, one deck up and you have Café Corinthia, Golden Lion, Library , Queens Room etc. Deck 1 is also convenient for the theatre' if you walk forward on leaving your stateroom you can beat the crowds :-) I had a wonderful time, as it was a winter cruise I didn't really miss the balcony. Have fun !!

Hi I have just noted that there is an additional bed in 1069 does this take up any room and was it an obstacle - thanks
