  1. I am the OP. I will be there in May of 2020.
  2. We are going to be in Amsterdam on 5/3/20 and we are interested in going to Keukenhof to see the tulips. My daughter is a fulltime wheelchair user but there are family members to assist. Any recommendations on the best way to get there from the ship? Thanks!!
  3. Don't know how they judge these things but I do not like that airport. The TSA agents are by far the most arrogant that I have ever encountered. One hand does not know what the other is doing. Do not care about airport amenities, just need a safe, quick in and out. Clearly lacking in San Diego.
  4. We went to French Polynesia this past March ( 2019). My adult daughter is a full time wheelchair user. Initially we were hesitant to do this trip but it was wonderful. We contracted with " Tracy- Unique Tahiti" for a tour around Tahiti. We were able to collapse the chair and put it in the back of her van. My husband and son were able to assist our daughter into the car. We went all around the island. Once back at the port, we walked around Papeete . Not perfect but doable. On Bora Bora- we contracted with LaPlage for a private boat tour . It was a covered pontoon style boat and my daughter was able to roll right on. We then transferred her to a very comfortable sofa. They brought swim rings and she was able to get into the water. Wonderful day on the lagoon. A favorite excursion! We walked around the port area, again not perfect but doable. The people were very kind and friendly. We loved the trip ( went on HAL) and would love to do it again.

  7. I am the OP,just came back from Bora Bora and I am happy to say that just about everything was open on a Sunday, including Bloody Marys.
  8. Thank you for taking us all along on this wonderful journey! Safe travels!
  9. Thank You for a wonderful review. Happy Birthday and Anniversary to you both! May you have many years of clear skies and smooth sailing.
  10. Thanks! I was hoping we could do this. My daughter is in a wheelchair and this will make it easier to get rid of the luggage first.
  11. We will be sailing out of San Diego in March and will be staying at the Springhill Suites prior to the trip. Do the port authorities allow you to drop off luggage and then return later to complete check-in?
  12. Thank You for taking us along on your journey. Love the reports- always so much information! Rest and enjoy your time at home. Will look forward to the next one! Thanks again!
  13. I just watched the Veendam sailing out of Port Canaveral. We don't often see HAL ships here so it was a real pleasure.
  14. We will be arriving in Bora Bora by cruise ship and will be there for 2 days. The 2nd day is a Sunday. Is there anything close to the port that will be open?
